Ren'Py - Completed - Twists of My Life [v1.1.2] [Novel]

Story is not interesting, half of the girls is not interesting, MC is asshole and it's really boring after half hour.

I don't want to be harsh but there is really nothing happening in the story. Of course there are events and choices sometimes but none of them is really interesting or very clever.

It's really bland.

Excellent artwork, nice "twists" of the MC´s life and breathtaking girls/women. Not unrealistic of too fanciful, the game presents itself to the player as a very elaborate story with many paths and outcomes ... just up to the player; his decision will decide the future twists of his life.

Started slow with a lot of repetition (go here, go there, come back home, rinse, repeat). But once things get going it is just one giant fuck fest. DAMN! There are many days(nights) where you get done fucking one girl only to go home and fuck another. I never even went after the initial girl that you are introduced to. Ann is amazing. There are some flaws here and there, but the shear amount of sex makes up for it.

This is the first VN I've deleted without finishing. I played for about thirty minutes before it had to go. The main problems:
* The story is fine from what I've seen but the translation is abysmal. I've suffered through some Engrish in my time but this is just something else. A few sentences made almost no sense to me and it became more and more painful to read.
* Out of all of the characters I've met only one is likable. The teacher is bitchy to her students. The steroid guy is so goofy and the fact that he hasn't had the cops called on him is just silly. Honestly only Helga has any positive personality.
* The Ann character is so over the top. Her hypersexuality is beyond goofy. It's almost like a parody of a nymphomaniac. Her abrasiveness only makes it even harder to take her seriously.
* For a game that fixates on the Helen character they've made her hilariously unlikeable. It's like they were trying to make her coy and mysterious but she just comes off as bitchy for keeping unnecessary secrets.
* The main character is, to be frank, a little bitch. He gets KO'ed on his first day of class. He has no clue how to talk to girls but is somehow super charming. When he finds out some of Helena's stupid secrets he turns into a man child only to immediately go "Aww I feel bad" and then snap right back to being a man child.
* For the above some of it may be down to the translation being awful. I dunno. But as it is it's hard to get invested in any of it.

It's a shame too since the quality of the renders is off the charts. They look amazing. Their bodies have actual human proportions unlike most of these games. Their appearances are unique and not just copy pastes from generic models (near as I can tell). The clothing for the characters all looks good too. It's just great to see.

But the writing. Ugh.

This game is excellent, i really liked it! The graphics are very good, the girls are very pretty, this game goes right to the point, you'll not waste your time seaching things is a specific day, hour and location, or going to another rooms or places of the city trying to find a person and all that kind of things... you just do the choices and choose your destiny. The story is good, don't have anything revolucionary, but goes to the point and have a very good content. Oh boy, that teacher Alanna is awesome! I played all content, including alternative routes and i did not found any kind of "grey screens" in the game, about grammatical errors, i dont know, i'm not north american and my english is not that good, so.... but i recommend the game!

This is my point of view for this Game....

-Never slept with more women in 10 minutes of a Game.
-Fantastic Rendering
-Never know what happens next
-Playing this game is more fun then watching a skin flic.
-Seems like the game never stops.
Cons:
Reaching the end of the Chapter....

But really,there are only a few games out there that get me so fire up.

And I don`t make 5 starts often.

Characters are surprisingly deep and interesting for a VN, especially a translation, even if they are stereotypes. They even gave the bitchy vixen some interesting backstory.

The sex scenes are relatively abundant, yet it never feels like a fuckfest (a trap some other games fall into). Only drawback is that they are rather text-heavy (and even that adds a bit of depth and spice).

The artwork is excellent. You can actually see individual strands of hair in most scenes. The background are interesting, beautiful, and well-suited (if a bit upscale even for law students).

The biggest drawback of this game is the large number of translation artifacts. There are still quite a few places where the word choice feels a bit off, and the occasional translator note (stuff in << >>). Also, the writing early in the story feels a bit stilted, formulaic and/or unpolished. I'm pretty sure these will improve in later versions (minor polishing like this usually happens towards the end of a game, once they've got the story and stuff figured out).

I like this game very nuch. there are no more and no less dialoges. everybody can play easy and evjoy. graphics are exelent. the girls are perfect. bravo autors. You will meet different characters in the game

I will confess that I turned the game off after just a few minutes. I was turned off from the beginning with the MC complaining about how horrible it is to be in his 20s and then after the first class at the new school, he gets into a fight for no apparent reason.

I downloaded it because of all the great reviews, but for me, the writing and story line is mediocre at best and I just don't have the patience to sit through the drivel.

I gave it three stars because a lot of work has been put into it and the graphics were very good. It just was not my cup of tea.

A pretty unique game of the genre as you can't build a harem and there is no incest. You can pick only one girl, following her story and discovering her personnality the further you advance the game. The characters are really well written, girls are sexy (Alanna is stunning), the artwork is just awesome, and for once, the storyplot seems more realistic from other games of the genre. Animations are fluid and well made, so clearly, a must play, 5/5 !

The first few time i played this i was kinda all over the place, fucking left right and center, always focusing more or less on Helena since she is more or less the main focus of the game when you start playing, Helga was nice, Ann just seemed like the bitch you fuck and ditch and the teacher ohh the teacher. :O
but last night i sat down and made a focused playthrough of every girl.
After playing yesterday the teacher is still my favorite(shes just on a whole other lvl) Helena is nice, but the whole beginning kinda scared my impression of her( although MC did turn into a whiny overreacting bitch)
Helga is just the type you wanna love and care for, shes got her problems, but over all shes just the lovable shy type that needs to be shown that there is hope out there. My biggest surprise though was that Ann(at least for me) turned from Bitch'n Ditch into someone who, underneath that bichy layer of onion, i really really liked.

For me last night made this game go from all right middle of the range game, into one on the top of my list.

Great game. Renders are great and the game flow is pacy without grinding required. Story is interesting and branches are well thought out.

I look forward to future releases and I will need to go back and replay some of the branches I didn't explore first time.

This is another great game with amazing characters and art the hard part is picking your favorite girl. I say check this game out. i can't wait for more updates!

Excellent. One of the best visual novels I have ever played, but I wish there is a solid protagonist in the game, there are more guys in the game not just one or two, because it creates a realistic atmosphere. I like how it builds the story slowly, steadily before any sexual content. the story flows somewhat slow, but I like it. Currently the relationship between the main female character and you is somewhat good, the other relationships are not that evolved.

Awesome job and it's Novel's first game project.

What a wonderful work, an absolute masterpiece and hope the game even grows. Has a lot of game play value. CGs are unbeatable. Just wish there were more branching choices. Definitely gonna support the dev on patten. Sitting tight for the next release. Wish there were more like these. Bottom line: An absolute gem

Lot to like here: good renders AND animations, pretty models en decent enough story, although the translation into English could use an extra pass here and there. The hot babes just keep piling on which makes it all feel a bit disjointed and rigged together to provide sexy content and considering that this is a porn VN, that is totally fine!

My discovery of the month. One of the game's strongest point has to be character design: from models to personalities and back story. They are not mere sexual objects, but beings with own aspirations and demons. The story is well paced, and narration is vivid and very descriptive. I really hope the game can mantain the same quality after each update.

This is a very good visual novel, where choices matter and there are a good few options. The characters are individuals - each girl has her own story and motivation - and the choices lead you to different content with the same girls, or to different girls entirely.

The renders are good, and the girls attractive. Sex scenes are hot.

The main character is a bit of chimera, one scene bold, cheeky and charming, the next weepy and a bit limp. Player choices don't really figure in that which can sometimes detract from the story immersion.

Altogether, this is very very good.

The story line is good and you have to think about a lot of the choices you have to make, if you make the wrong choice things can turn bad very quickly. It's a little bit like real life and if you decide to try and juggle more than one relationship you have to be careful cos it could turn round and bite you in the...
