Well it's been a while in writing !

I'd like to take the time to drop all of my votes for the Keriax version and mourn its passing, if the 14th march blog post is to be believed (edit: nvm didn't read full blog post).

Goofy as it maybe be, it was always the version that made the character more alive for me.
The character is actually standing up (most of the time :sneaky:) while I find the models are standing awkwardly in other versions.
And I did not start this comparison table for nothing, it was the version that had most integration with what was happening to you char in game.
I don't want to come up as gloomy or dismissive of the tremendous work that went on, but I am still not a clothing version fan, the model feels way to "staticky" and disconnected from the body changes, I'd still rather have the clothe stashed on the side and my brain can do the wearing projection well.
Now, the new GUI integration aims to bring the best of both worlds, I would have to run it a bit more, but on top of losing Keriax, I am quite sad that: the clothe your are wearing, your character body state and your inventory are split on 3 different menus that you have to click to see in the same menu space, so you can't have the 3 of them displayed at the same time anymore.
You also kinda have 2 different characters models even if one is just a clothe mannequin...

Again don't want to feel like a doomer, seems like those changes were made to have the game UI "less cluttered", more welcoming to new users while composing with the game engine performance and you have to move and break things to do that.

I've been playing this game since it was text based commands and love that its still going and getting support, But i don't like that they split resources on different art styles. I loved when the "porn" version was getting updates but as the game got bigger, it had to go so Im voting for strateg. I hate sounding like a hater but its just the lesser of the.... "Evils"
And I don't want to talk down to any of the artist since i probably couldn't do better, But I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY wished with all my heart, that they removed the faces or at least the eyes. Its so jarring seeing those heads and awkward expressions , and now that multiple styles are imposed on you, you can't just stick to the version you like.

How the fuck do you get off the retarded vacuum when you get stuck on it? Shit like this is why I've always had a hate for this game.

I hate the vacuum too because the only way to get off is to wait (and wait and wait again and again and again and then wait some more). I try to avoid ever getting stuck on it by staying out of the room it spawns in. Also, you can't get stuck on the vacuum if you already have some kind of headgear.

That said, getting stuck on the vacuum is so frustrating to me that I usually start a new run or just quit if it happens.

That vacuum is stupid. Aika should add a "long-wait" option to it or something.

Well I skimmed the blog post on 14th march and only read the "4) No, the other historic versions are no longer available, and never will be." part, and assumed the worst, thanks for pointing it.
3rd point of the same blog post assures other versions will follow yay !
Other points made still stand, kinda agree with Dedensai, albeit in a "softer way" would like a "make the clothing window a mannequin and remove eyes / facial expressions" option, so that you only have 1 artist model being your char "in flesh".

There was a time when all the different styles where in development at the same time. But since a lot of years ago, the only window in active development was Clothing.

There used to be a "long wait" command that automatically applied itself in the appropriate situations. For example when you have to wait with the minotaur on top of you, when you are in detention on the school, when you are in jail on the school, when you are in the vacuum thing and when you are trapped in a hole (are the ones that come to my mind rn), You now have to manually wait in all those situations.

Although the school's detention prints the entire text with one wait command, the others do not.

As far as getting lost goes: this is a roguelike. The map changes every time you start a new game. Just wander around and you'll find stuff.
Spiral staircase leads you out of the dungeon and into the forest. From there you can reach the hotel which holds the elevator. The elevator contains the final boss. There are some prerequisites to accessing the elevator, though.
When you say you're having a hard time getting transformed, that's... weird? TFs are usually difficult to avoid.
Open every container you come across, like half of them will be trapped and half of those will TF you in some way.
The fastest way to intentionally grow tits is to find a room with pink smoke and kneel for a few turns.
Sprinklers that can sometimes activate upon entering rooms (pressure plate/tripwire traps) will grow/dye your hair.
Certain NPC encounters will transform you as well.

I never said that the command itself doesn't exist anymore.
Also if you long wait on the situations that i mentioned i think it just waits (dunno if they changed it).

I'm still counting any vote i see btw.

you sure? i remember long waiting in the starting room with smoke and i know i wasn't kneeling so if so then that must be a recent change.

not sure about the vacuum but you should be able to just type long wait pretty much anywhere and set how long you wanna wait for along with if you wanna be interrupted when a friendly npc gets close.
