i cant seem to find how to save my game in the options or whatever key is supposed to do that, If anyone could help I'd highly appreciate.

You can only manually save at certain locations. I think you can only activate the saving function by using the desk inside the hideout or at the slightly glowing torch by the teleportation circle outside your home. The game will autosave at certain locations, but it doesn't happen that often so I wouldn't rely on it to much.

Try downloading the game from the main thread with the latest patches included, that version should work.
