VN - Ren'Py - Completed - The Fate of Irnia [v1.0] [Winterlook]

Well what can we say about this game.
1. Non linear plot
2. Entertaining story
3. Quality characters
4. There is the possibility of replay with a variety of consequences.
5. There is no retarded and imposed grind in the game. (grind - which developers usually put in their games because there is no content in them to fill the holes.)

This is what a canonical visual story should be.

From the bad sides. Since the game is in active development, these are the bugs I encountered.

1. Overlaying each other character cartoons.
2. Untouched gallery, sometimes viewed scenes do not appear.
3. When choosing one path for some reason, the game forgot that I chose this path and redirected me to another branch of the plot.

So my advice to all lovers of visual novels. Try this game.

This game is fucking good , nice art , nice girls ,nice story , but the update time is long as hell but its ok i think .
The game has a large amount of routes,a lot of choices and dialogues.
Option for people who like pubic hair (like me),multiple pretty girls.
I still expect a route with all the girls

The cgs aren't that great. i was honestly just playing for the story because i was not feeling anything in the arousal department. I mean i get that it's a fantasy setting but the character portraits look like worn out painting and when the sex happens it's like the same cg but the face kinda changes. but the story was better than most so it's not a complete waste of time

I nutted so many times because of this game! I love it!
The writing is AMAZING and it certainly catered to my incest fetish. The medieval setting and incest reminds me of Aegons Conquest from game of thrones and how he took his sisters as his wives.

The game also offers a ton of decisions that have major consequences in the future. So, hats off to the writer/s for that

The only thing this lacks is some animations. But, what it lacks in visual content, it makes up for the top notch storytelling and dialogue. 10/10 This is definitely my new favorite

The thing I look for most in these games is choice, and this has tons of it. Perhaps a bit too much. The character paths are updated at different rates, so some don't reach very far into the game. There's at least one character that has just been a perpetual dead end for several updates now.

But I have a hard time faulting them for being a bit too ambitious. If the game ever gets finished, it'll have a ton of paths to play through, and every player should be able to find at least a couple paths to enjoy.

I wish I could give this game five stars, but the game is just too buggy right now.

There are minor bugs, such as repeated dialogue lines and incorrect names. There are major bugs that seem to incorrectly flag plot choices. There are UI bugs that make it hard to navigate the settings menu. So the game is a bit of mess at times.

Excellent VN style game with a lot of potential, involving multiple routes and options, including a fairly large number of characters you are given the option to romance, along with different methods to do so. The game also adds an optional magic device to help with influencing characters to the point of where you can mind break them, turning them into willing sex slaves. In addition the art is fairly decent for this game.

I love the interplay between the characters and the choices. The designs are attractive and the story flows smoothly.
A few more erotic scenes would be nice to have though.
I have played the last couple of versions and can't wait for the completed game.

A fine VN where various choices lead to numerous different endings (so choices matter), good art, and a wide appeal of fetishes. Players are made to work for the good scenes, but it never feels like the developer is just milking you and slowly doling out H-scenes bit by bit. Good storyline, good writing, really interested in seeing how this develops.

That said, a few quibbles:

1) I really wish this game would switch to a different engine. Since decisions lead to wildly different endings and one has re-load to trace each branch of the ending tree, something like Ren'py where you can easily blast through the same dialogue for the 9th time would be really helpful. Currently, there's no easy option to do so.

2) A better gallery of the various scenes. Currently, they're images, but there's no text--and that's a shame when the writing is good and enhances the appeal of the scene.

update: i ended up trying this game again, but there's too much text and not enough sex art. the game needs triple the amount of visuals to hold my interest. the beginning of the game drags way too much. a good porn game should get to the action fairly soon. the sex scene with lady death at the start is of poor quality.

The game needs more sex scenes and a better guide. I ended up getting two bad endings. The game mechanics are not explained.

This is one of those games where you need a walk through open while you play. Without a walk through, it's an okay game, but if you have something better, play that instead.

The mother & aunt scenes are good which I give it three stars.

I can't give it 4 or 5 stars because the game requires you have a walk through open to figure out.

SPOILER: I ended up getting killed by succubus OR the queen executes me. I have no idea how to prevent it. Without a walk through it's nearly impossible.

so many different story options and tuns of rewards and detailed art for experimenting with different choices. Art is great and the story/characters are all pretty solid. Also nice that you have the paragon/renegade character options as well as some more middle of the road choices as well.

The dev is doing everything right.
- Wide range of fetish to chose: mother, sister, auntie, orc, elf, cheating, harem, etc. (can we have the queen's corruption pls)
- For this current build with less than 500MB, it is worth every penny we're paying hosting sites. And seriously, this dev deserves patreons to help him on his way.
- The art is great, story telling is on point.
- No annoying animation.
Few improvements I can think of: a meter of how many times we use red and blue, an older looking for mother (like she's beautiful but look quite young). But 5 star out of 5. Well done.

I've played this not long ago, I forgot what build version that was, but I've liked it since then. Fate of Irnia's story is gripping, kinda makes you feel that your choices really matter, and that you can actually make decisions that would affect the progress of the game unlike other linear games with fake fronts of letting you think that your choices do matter and force you to a single definite ending. It has a medieval theme that adds to its charms and reading through the story makes your imagination of the scenarios more vivid. I give this game a solid five and I hope it would continue to progress beautifully until its completion.

This game i Ignored for a while because of the art but after playing it on version 23 I've been hooked it has so many different outcomes like for example you can have a loving romance between with your mother. But you can also control her and make her your sex slave you can do this with any of the girls even my fav lady death.

Amazing story and enjoyable plot as well as actions and consequences. Characterization by far is astounding. The only problem is grammar in some parts, that's all really. Not to mention the mouse not working on certain routes, that you need to press auto to get by. Other than that a solid game with a solid concept. Everytime a build ends, I sit there wishing I had more to play through. If that's not good enough I don't what is! This is a helluva blast!

story and writing are good. im always glad to see different artstyle and this one is good. really heavy on choices and multiple paths. the engine can act funny and i have experienced a bug or two but nothing game breaking. it has huge potential, definitely worth to check out

Pros: The art style is truly unique, but very appropriate to the game. The story and variation thus far, even in v0.36b, is quite impressive. There is actually some voice acting in the game, surprisingly, and it's well done so far.

Cons: Only the fact this game isn't finished yet. The wait for the next update will feel far too long.

All in all, this game is my favorite on this site. It deserves to be played and the developer needs to be supported for this excellent game.

I had no expectation playing this game, and this is one of the greatest game i've ever played, love the art and drawing, love the characters, the story, the writing, the medieval world is really well done, and above all i freakin love the differents routes, finally a game which in making different choices will really change the story. I really hope this game will be finished one day.

The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is v0.3...


This VN/Game shows some promise... Although it hints at having the over used Family Sex stuff...

The visuals of the characters are 2D hand drawn, and although unique and creative, some look really good and some look ok... As an example, some of the pictures of the mother look like she's an older woman, and others make her look younger, so it was hard to tell all the time what age she really was... The backdrops are very unique and creative as well...

The script was pretty good as I only ran into a few spelling/grammar errors... Now, because this VN/game is so early in it's production, the current script text isn't long... The plot revolves around a male protagonist who just turned 18, who lives with his mother and soon will be visited by his sister... He is given a blue and red sphere that he was only allowed to open once he reached 18... He is then sent out to seek a girl by his mother... The story backdrop is a fantasy world on the verge of war, and the protagonist needs to find his way in the world... He quickly learns what the orb sort of does and it blossoms from there...

This is definitely a Corruption/Love sort of game play with story thrown in... It isn't that bad of an introduction to how the game play will work, and the sex stuff happens pretty quick... I can see the opportunity for perhaps some light humor to take place, especially with the orb playing the role of 2 polar opposite character type personalities that talk to the protagonist... Have to wait and see how that plays out...

For the moment there are several story legs you can choose to go down based off decisions you make, each leading to a content wall for the current version... So you can replay the current content and select different choices to go down different paths for certain characters, just expect to hit a wall down each story path... I'm hopeful that this isn't something that occurs once this VN/game is completed, but we'll have to wait and see...

Overall, even though the content is not much for the moment, I can see the potential for good story telling along with the sex stuff, as well as possible humor... Only time will tell where this VN/game will go, but I have hopes that it will be well balanced, and be entertaining... I'll definitely give this one another go later into it's development...

UPDATE - There is an occasional bug where the content freezes up, and if that happens then the only recourse is to begin fresh... It appears to be a random bug, but it only happened to me once... Best way to avoid having to restart a lot is use the Save feature often... But be aware, sometimes it's not a frozen screen but may be a content wall instead... Most of the content walls actually tell you the content is done at that point, but just be aware...

This game is one of my current favorites and in my opinion definitely worth keeping an eye on.
Considering it's still an early build of the game, It has a fairly impressive amount of content already and with updates coming steadily (with a new h-scene nearly every update) it just continues to improve.
The story is interesting, with a fairly unique concept, setting and characters. Plus the writing is pretty decent for a porn game. However, in my mind, the main selling point of this game is the wide variety of different routes that are available to the player, offering something for just about everyone to enjoy.
On the negative side, apart from the sex scenes, the quality of some of the artwork is not the best. Also, due to route updates being decided by popular vote, one or two of the routes haven't been updated in a while. (I'm still hoping for an update to Dabna's route soon!)

This game blew my mind with the multiple choices it offers, it's ups are very obvious: Great sex scenes, well written and well drawn...Nice world setting with interesting characters and events (Similar to non sexual fantasy RPG classics), I love the fact that you can manipulate or sway people or do both at the same time, that's a great mechanic imho..Now for the down parts: You have the art for some characters (outside of the sex scenes) like they look so old when they're not having sex like your mother for example or the girl at the tavern...I think they need a beautification fix but that's just me, other than that there are some game breaking bugs that can halt your whole advancement (some that I haven't found a solution to yet, like making certain choices could lead you nowhere but to a frozen screen...). But overall the game is fantastic and I haven't covered all the parts yet which could tell you a lot about how well branched the routes are and the scenes are numerous. Despite it's few flaws it deserves a full score from me, definitely the game of the month..I recommend it for everyone here.
