There were many ways to go about that. Like sisterly lust their game is made the way that they wanted it with all things in it but not active and you hit start game and you play the normal these are not my relatives type game. Open the console on the title screen and type in a code and game changes to taboo version. Man of the house made the way the author wanted it to be but has a file that changes the peoples names back to what they are suppose to be. I think daddy's goodnight kiss allows you to name the people in the house at the start of the game and give them a title as well.
It isn't only about the incest aspect of the game (which can easily be fixed: DMD; Sister Lust and other examples). I think the main problem was the Mind Control through Pills part. Blackmailing Kaitlyn and her reluctance/non-consensual sexual parts are another reason.
The pills were a core part of the game and you could use them everywhere can progress in the sexual aspect in the old TP version (sexual acts with daughter, the showing of Meghans Breasts). For us it's only a game, but patreon saw to much "realism" (aspect of pills). While the effect was quite "fantastic" (complete submission to all words of the MC), the aspect of pills are quite real. (Hence the complete rape discussion and everything in society. ---> Patreon wanted the change, so they don't get shitstormed by our society for supporting rape, female discrimination and so on. (Think of that outrage). But this is only my assumption.
While you could argue that than Mind Control (like in Dreams of Desire) should be changed too. It's not so dramatic here since the MC happen through an unreal medium.
So the only way for Deem was to cut the Mind Control part and rewriting his game.
