RPGM - Abandoned - Tales of Symmeria [v0.4.1] [EcchiTalesClub]

This game isn't honestly that terrible, but the amount of bullshit decisions who's sole purpose is to annoy you is ridiculous. So disclaimer: i'm mad, and this is more of a rant than review.
Take first quest for example. Developer himself in this very thread acknowledged what clock puzzle is unclear for many players, was it changed? Nope.
Take movement puzzles/obstacles (run through the room without touching X or be teleported to the start of the room, or sometimes outside of the dungeon, why on Earth would you teleport me outside!?) RPGM isn't go to engine for platformers and action games for a reason, some movement puzzles are fine, but why are they so long without any way to save your progress? Challenge is nice, but movement in RPGM can be very frustrating.
Main city is annoying to navigate. City is filled with guards who can teleport you, so once again Dev admits there is something wrong, but why fix main issue when we can just place 10+ guards.
Game promises management, but there is none. And no, grinding wood/rocks/etc to build pre-decided stuff in pre-decided order to gain +100 gold isn't management.
I want to like this game (and to some extent i do) but some decisions are very frustrating.

I highly enjoyed this one. For a game that's still a WIP, there's already a lot of content available for the player to play with. Along with the cute art style, straightforward puzzles, the resource management aspect of rebuilding the town, and adorable personalities of the girls that you can recruit, I think there's a lot here for most players to enjoy.

This is one of the rare porn games that's still in the process of being made that I would nonetheless recommend.

I started the game and a big titty nun gave a titjob. Art and animation was looking good. Nice.

Slapped around a couple skeletons and solved a puzzle. Nice.

Performed an exorcism on a girl by pounding her from behind. Demon begone. Nice.

Acquired village. Sent off to some town nearby to rebuild the village. Okay cool.

Town is enormous and shops are spread all over the place. Realize just walking around is going to take up 90% of my time. Uhh... (The guards do allow you to fast travel around the town however, but that still feels annoying. Just make it a prompt as soon as you enter town)

Find builder. Says I need x amount of a list of resources but need tools. Hmmm...

Walk all the way back to the village to sleep repeatedly. Get taxes from villagers and walk all the way back to buy tools. Ok.

Go to forest to gather resources. Realize I'll need to take several trips between here to gather resource nodes and the village to sleep. More walking back and forth. Sigh....

Fuck this. Two girls talked about putting quests up at the adventurer's guild. Find Adventurer's Guild and look at the quests. All fetch quests. "Pick up X rubbish from the Suburbs!" "Collect X carrots, X cabbage, X vegetables" " Find X nails to hammer into your dick" "Fight X weaselpptittipusses u fukin hack git2it"
The constant walking back and forth at a snail's pace was already torture enough. Now you want me to go through fetch quests? No thanks. This is a 2/5 as I ended up wanting to claw my eyes out after walking back and forth repeatedly.

Suggestions:
1) The walking speed should be the current running speed and the running speed should be like double what it is given the map sizes.
2) Replace the fetch quests or turn them into something new. Ex: Quest asks to kill 10 rats. After killing 2 or 3, a rat girl comes out complaining. Give her the dick for being a nuisance. Rat girl stops being a nuisance. Quest Complete.

I love everything about this game, the art style is wonderful, and the animations are pretty good! The only complaint is that the resource gathering is a bit grindy, but that's to be expected with the nature of this game. This is one of the few games I am actually excited about when I see an update!

-grind is mostly QTE resource harvesting. which is even worse than combat grind
-too much time wasted on walking simulator. actually proclaims proudly how big their world is as if it is a feature. The maps are stupidly huge and it takes too long to navigate them

This game could have been an easy 4 or a 5 but it is marred by some questionable design decisions

Graphics excellent good animations, good gameplay, boring puzzle, good story, great harem, you can leave them all in your village to play with them later, hope you keep up the good work, I want to see more of this game, really promising

this game is like princess and conquest, made me fall in love the first time I played it. although the animation is small but satisfying, many puzzles are confusing but can be solved, I hope this game is updated as soon as possible, add the npc that runs in the city, and PREGNANCY for the npc like the one in princess and conquest. This game is so much more than just a H-game. You want city/town building? You got it. How about monster girls? Its got it in droves. Dating system? Yep. RPG with a decent challenge? Oh yeah. While there is a good challenge to the game it doesn't come off as too grindy or complicated. However, it will kick your ass if you go into it with low expectations. Its fun watching your town grow and get more residents as you make improvements and invite the girls into your settlement. And the girls, oh god the girls. There is something for everyone. Shortstacks, elven nuns, goblins, with presumably much more on the way. The artwork and animations are cute and crisp as well. Definitely something worth dropping money for on Patreon (I'm supporting). I cannot wait to watch this game grow and see more of what the creator has to offer.

If you like shortstacks, this game is MUST to play. The designs are great, the thick lined art is unique and each H scene is a cute little animation with fun cumshots. You see a lot of shortstacks without content yet, and im quite excited to see them implemented in future updates. The game itself is rather fun, with a cycle of gather material, build part of village, put girl in village. However it does become monotonous, Had to play for about 8 hours of daily grinding to finish construction. I recommend this game highly, the only downside being my own personal distaste of cumflation.

Excellent game! Has lots of potential and I'm excited to see what's next!
The game definitely has content that will last hours to play. It's not linear and allows you to explore side quests to your hearts content. Just needs a bit of typical bug fixing and dialog correction and it's good to go! I become a $5 Patreon myself for this.
