^ What lostone2 said. It's a sequel. I have done a little bit of reverting back to the original RAGs version of the game in some areas, But it does use the Ren'py SP1 storyline as a jumping point. I'm essentially cutting what I didn't like about the Ren'py version, and aiming the game more directly towards where I wanted the game to go originally. Sooo, a lot less "Fluff". Characters will all have a lot of different and interesting ways you can interact with them, but, Ultimately, the game will be more focused on the "Hero/AntiHero/Villain" aspect, with sex being the primary source of Billy's power, and...the primary source of all his problems.

I've added in the first aura powers into the game. Here's the new Aura UI.

And Here's an example of two of those Auras.

There are now three types of auras. Tech, Dark, and Bright. And you'll be able to have one of each active at the same time.
Though currently, there's just the 5 Polymorph Dark aura's. In the update after the one I'm currently working on, I'll be fleshing out Humanitas and Psychosism. (Tech Aura's are a ways off, I'm afraid.)

I haven't been following the game since SP1 was "completed". I understand it's still a WIP and starting off but I think it's been a year and still lament the loss of the first game, its models and its themes. It seems that on the fetish side of things, the sequel is a lot more tame. I hope I'm wrong since I really liked the more fucked up shit Billy was up to in the first.

Hopefully to seduce some characters, mind control (or however it's phrased) won't be the only option.

I'm looking forward to the next release of this. I thought the general grind, although a little bit to learn, was far better than the 1st game's: mainly the reputation part. The 1st is still one of my favorites and I can see this one surpassing it.

While I don't know how you do it, I'm glad you can ignore the haters, I love your games. Please keep up the good work! When I can afford it, I try to throw some money at you.
Can't speak for others, but at least in my case it's not that I hate the games - on the contrary, I just wish all the good stuff wasn't buried under endless grind. The ratio of "actual content" to "repeating same actions/events to get <resource>/alter NPC to unlock content" is just absolutely horrendous, which is a shame since the ideas under all that grind are great.

I've been giving Baal money for years, and I couldn't agree more. He doesn't listen though, he has his ideas for how the game should be and he sticks to them for better or for worse (and there is a lot of both). Mods are mandatory when playing his games.

That being said, the story is good, the porn is very good, and most of the (modded) gameplay is fun so it's all worth it.

What worries me the most is that by getting away from RenPy he's going to get few if any modders, and I don't think he realizes how bad that is going to hurt his following.

TLDR: Not much progress can really be done atm the core of the game is still being developed so I recommend waiting (even 1 more update seems like it will add alot to the current state of the game) if you want to see what currently is implemented I recommend to cheat so you more easily stack buff/debuff/gain additional dices and actually win some rolls cause man is it hard with what is currently available.

Okay SP2 has an update on Patreon? :)
Yes it did. Just subbed cause really wanted to try the new system mechanics cause even if I think the games are 20-30% grindier than I would like I quite like the games he makes (even the test card game was fun IMO) and didn't want to wait for a leak.

When you milk a cow some people are bored after some time. So the best solution is to put a number '2' on it and thus renaming it and people will forget the old cow and keep pouring money to the creator/creators.
Smart idea.:mad::unsure:

This game is very different mechanically than the previous game, even just based on the rather limited number of mechanics implemented right now,

The game is built differently from the ground up. It is even on another engine entirely and isn't reusing any of the art assets.

There are certainly criticisms of the game and the decision to drop the first one (technically that was the second one) even though it wasn't yet at a completed state, but to criticize it for just being a lazy cash grab or to milk patreons is not in the least bit accurate.

I honestly don't think that's the situation here. It's more like "unrealistic ambition". Baal has big ideas for what he wants to do in a game, and is definitely working hard on it- he streams a lot and you can see the work go down. But he isn't a very strong programmer, so the going is slow because once the games hit a certain size they become hard to work on (which is common for crappy coders, 90% of what makes "professional programming" are rules to make code maintainable). He's working hard, he is just a slow worker.

You can argue this still makes him a bad investment since it's true you do not get a lot for your $$ compared to some other devs, but I wouldn't attribute it to any kind of milking scheme.

What he really needs to do is to accept that his job is as much software as art and go take some serious programming classes, not just language tutorials.

The problem I have with the decision is that he was having his high-tier patrons pay to get scenes into the game. They got those scenes, and they were good, but now they are just *poof* gone. If you bought a scene it is just languishing in an unfinished game. That kind of sucks.

ok lets say he is new to the programming a game and maintained but when you make a good money from delaying the progress (like al do to keep getting more money with subscriptions) you hire more people to help you. Like more other creators have done i will not name them but you know this kind of scam of milking is going too long. First it started with delays later are the seasonal extras then sequels later with episodic series and now remakes. it gets tiring after so long time. I dont say that ALL the creators do it but its a 70% that do it.

That helps sometimes, but a lot of the time it doesn't. Baal works on this stuff part time; people know his schedule and how long stuff takes him. If you think it's worth it you can pledge, if not you don't.

A scam implies deceit. He's not telling anyone he releases early or often; he is very open about his schedule and doesn't lie about it. You can say he's slow, you can say he sucks, and you can say he's not worth the money and that would be fair, but calling him a scammer is just not correct because there is no scam going on-- just a process that isn't worth the money in your opinion.

And that would be fair, I used to give him more per month and dropped back, precisely because I stopped thinking he was worth the higher amount because he works so slowly. But again, he never lied and he never deceived anyone, so it's not a scam.

first things first i didn't specify Baal as a scammer i just said that most creators use the delay tactic as overworking. And no thief or scammer advertise his her self as such. I have pledged to many creators, that put much hard work on (like him) . After a while you see the pattern of delays and sequels and specials and episodic series. more and more people using them to milk our wallet. AND again read my post, i didnt say he is not a hard worker or good at his job, i just said he follows the same train as the others. It because i care i say it._
