Yeah, Prince was very protective of his songs. Mark Knopfler told Al yes on the condition Mark got to play guitar on Als version. Parody and satire are protected under the 1st amendment, thankfully. Imagine how many lawsuits Twilight Shortbread would have if it wasn't, among many, many other people. Now if only he could throw in the Principal and Annie being Scientologist. That would make for some funny shit.
He was the most famous, there was also an issue with the song You're Pitiful, a parody of James Blunt's "You're Beautiful", he said it was okay, but the record label said no. So, he released it as a free track, not on an album as a compromise.

i think he was already working on the spoiler content,but since people were watching his streams,he decided to put some of the reworks to entertain people,while making them develop interest in these new contents for those characters on their respective updates....its a nice"marketing" play,while avoiding people getting annoyed before the time.....

Could be, he did have that song Chicken Pot Pie (Live and Let Die) and Pac-man (Taxman), but the rights to the Beatles songs were later owned by Michael Jackson, and we know he didn't care, so it is hard to say... There were a number of songs that never got published for one reason or another.
