Do you people really think that DC cares about f95? For real, I think this is related to the fact that the abandoned tag is after two years without updates... and well... they also now that they have not release any update in the last two years

As I understand it, DC won't be releasing the tech update for at least another two months? That doesn't sound like anyone's rushing to get the release out.

On the plus side, at least people have their abandoned tag so maybe they can exhale and relax a little? I'm doubting they will, but there's always hope.

And you're underestimating how much impact this site has to coomers. This isn't 2016 where F95 is some literal who website in the corner of the internet, it's a big site known to even obscure Japanese devs at this point. I'm sure DC himself doesn't give a shit, the man has a established patreon base who gives him his monthly free paycheck. But optics is important, if someone looks up Summertime Saga chances are they'll end here and when the see that "abandoned" tag their interest will drop. It's happened to every other game on this site with that tag, SS isn't immune to it.

Call me again when this place has more users than Pornhub and Youtube.

So if it's two months per character route that's already in the game, it'll be at least 16 months of recycled content if I counted the right amount of routes (Diane, Roxxy, Mia/Helen, Eve, Teachers, Erik/Tammy, Main Story, and Maria/Tony). I'll probably check the first new update out to see how much is actually added and then forget about this game for another two years if it doesn't add anything significant.

Ah so we have a brand new tag eh? I would've yanked my support if I was a patron once I saw the recent release history, surprised more people haven't. Of course since I haven't paid a cent I can't really complain. I'll just check back again in 50 years when the game is finally done.

Lmao that's why I said at least 16 months. I fully expect this to take another 2+ years since it has taken them three years just to get the game to where it is now, but that's just my opinion.

All I expect the two-month release schedule to be is minor code tweaks towards the "tech update" that should have been done years ago at this point. DC will string those out for as long as he can. People need to accept that it could be years before the Rhonda update drops, if ever.

Glad to see this game get the abandoned tag it so rightfully deserved. Will it change anything? Debatable, but it will help new people coming to the site and searching for games know the status of it.

Well, i guess the question of would WaL release the next update and remove its abandoned tag before this one got applied has been answered.

If I was betting, I'm not sure if I would have made or lost money on that one.

Truth. Go visit the fan art sub for this game. There are people using AI to churn out some seriously good images. I've mentioned it over there, but if anyone used that art as the foundation for a game and dropped consistent out-of-the gate releases, they'd make a mint.

I doubt you could actually monetize it, though, given that these AIs seem to be trained using DC's art. As of now these questions are still somewhat unanswered, but there's a huge risk that such a project would be taken down sooner or later because of copyright issues.

Honestly the AI is probably good for fans who want content badly and are waiting.

But using it for a fan project tho will just be a janky ass game without the sandbox and just a bunch of CG's that aren't animated.

No, I'm saying that because Summertime Saga literally has videos on both websites. Which means it reaches far more people there than this forum does. In theory anyway.
