I mean who would want to go to work as an artist and get paid terribly to do animation or work in the PC industry when you can sit at home, be your own boss, put in a good 12 months effort and then cruise the next 2 years on 500k.

I find the whole debate somewhat funny in reality because, he is earning $48,000 per month = $576,000 per year, now he could easily employ a good poser for $50,000 per year, a good coder for $50,000 per year, a good artist for $50,000 per year, a good script/story editor for $50,000 per year and a good general fault finder/proof reader for $50,000 per year, leaving him earnings of $250,000 per year, which works out as $4807 per week or $19,228 per month take home pay, and he could spend time with his wife and kids while doing his incest/non incest game much much faster with a team behind him.

With the type of money he is earning per year now, there is no excuse for not employing a team and sharing the mucho $$$s he is earning with them while making this ever expanding game and releasing much faster updates also.

Time management people, pretty simple when done right lol.

I know what he promised in his patreon goals (hire more staff). but fact is, he has no influence on the amount of money his fans give him, so he cannot be forced. Especially when he tried and it did not work out.

He does permanently employ 4 people after all (plus he provides freelance work to others like Sam9 and AEHentai for animations, homepage stuff etc.) and employing more doesn't make sense as long as there's no artist around, who is willing to work for him and who can provide what DC wants. Else you'll still have consider things like patreon charges, taxes etc.

But the fact that you didn't even bother to look up his team makes your post kind of not really useful, sorry.

I get what you're saying with the money bit but no one here has ever named an artist for him to hire. Because literally no one has evidence that he hasn't gone out of his way to look, I'll have to take DC's word that he has. He's said countless times what he expects.

Someone who can get work done fast and someone who can copy his style without training.

And all that isn't even including whether the ideal artist is even interested.

Also he has posers/coders/writers on payroll. No one mentions them because they don't bother learning their names.

I didnt need to bother looking up his present team as I already knew there was a set team in place, so meh to You lol, but since many many people are not happy with, well the Artwork alone, I would expect him to be shaking the tree a lot in reality.

There are many great 2D/3D artists out there, if You shake the tree hard enough, and look hard enough, they can be found and employed in reality.

Rather than extracting a processing fee from the creator side, Patreon is going to start charging supporters extra.
The new service fee is 2.9 percent plus 35 cents per pledge.

In the USA for example, the average tax rate for taxpayers who earn over $1,000,000 is 33.1 percent, so either way, on $576,000 per year, minus tax, he is still earning massive earning per year, on a game that in reality, could literally take years to complete.

I don’t get it people who are not patrons constantly complain about how slow he is and other developers release updates faster, yet none of 2d games release smaller update per month than he does in a year and the ones release larger update takes nearly as long as DC. It’s almost like games that use 2d art rather then CG take longer to update.

Kingdom of Deception updates far more frequently than this, only gets just over 5K a month and has huge amounts of dialogue each update, across multiple different plot lines all woven together.
SS has what, like 2 different points of divergence? With Mia and her Mom and another one I may have forgot and updates with nowhere near as much dialogue.

2D games are more difficult but you can also still copy and paste resources and edit them, it's not like every scene has to be drawn from scratch.

Yeah and nobody has any right to force us to say his management is brilliant? Just because it's free for us doesn't mean we're not allowed to want better, not when he earns so much money for making it, more than most people can hope to make in actual full time jobs.

I've volunteered as an admin, for free, for over two years now and even though I'm only at work two days a week I'm one of the most efficient people in the building despite no prior experience, because I choose to work hard and work well in order to help out the charity I work at.

Why shouldn't we expect better of someone who would earn as calculated above something in the realms of 250k a year? "Free" and "donations" doesn't change the fact that this is essentially a job and could be managed much better.

What people are asking for is that the updates are far more frequent on a game that has a far larger bottleneck than predetermined assets. The production process may have an issue. I think Dogeek and others have talked about it. But for me and a few other people, this is the key problem:

What are WE going to do about it? This is why I point out constantly that this is mere Mental Masturbation. People Blue Ball themselves about money, production, and everything else which we have NO control over. Zero.

The only thing we have control over in F95 is whether we think the game is good or not. Can we tell if the game got abandoned? Probably after the mods and some fans point it out. And that's why I choose to focus on this and other games. Because all that MM just ain't worth it over playing other games and seeing what they are doing in the mean time as you pointed out earlier in your post. But putting this game with others is just disingenuous.

Each process, each team, and each game within the adult industry has hurdles to overcome and all of it takes *time* to create and put out. Why everyone wants to wank over that is beyond me...
