Story or just directly into fucking?

To me it's something around 60% story 40% sex scenes. There has to be a plot and good narrative, and when done right it makes the sex scenes that much better. Sadly lately it seems like the trend is becoming "nothing but story so that you sub to my patreon and I'll do the sex scenes in episode 5 after a year of buildup, but I'll give you a BJ or HJ scene somewhere down the line".

i like a little bit of both, i understand the appeal of a story taking a lead but i also get why people just want sex. I think that, if a game gives good context, it can make jerking it even better than usual but it sucks when it feels like a grind. like with porn, with a little tease at the start to get them immersed into the story then fucking so they get what they want
That's a really bad comparison, but I get your meaning. Often when people, especially those who aren't writers or big readers, see this they misunderstand the value of sex in a story.
I can point to Wicked Choices or Depraved Awakening, two games that begin with full sex scenes, one incest and the other with a Hooker. Both games are heavy on story with details and in Wicked Choices at least, a heavy bit of lore. Honestly they're two of the games I look most forward to simply because the sex in their games has a purpose, it helps to move the story forward. And that along with the characterization being deep, makes the sex better.
My favorite game is Coceter Chronicles, it has one of the best built fantasy realms period. Like, honestly it doesn't need to be a porn game imo, the world design is that good. However what makes it fun aside from that is that there is in fact an opportunity for sex around every corner. I bring these up because people tend to mix plot and story. The plot of a game like Dating My Daughter begs for the sexual content to be dragged out (not as long as Dots has, but that's another story) and so there is less sexual content. The plot of Wicked Choices, Depraved Awakening, and Coceter Chronicles has plenty of room for sex. And so they have more.
