What was this project?
It was about when Princess Trainer [akabur princess trainer] was starting to get a huge fandom [more or less]. I remember seeing a couple of pics of concert art [which were pretty decent] with Pearl , Amethyst and Garnet.

That's why shows that should have a trainer game by now don't exist [fuck sjw's], mainly Adventure Time girls, and many more.

If I'm not mistaken, Steven's tears have no special properties, that was his mom. Anyhow, I've had a long standing fan theory about the origin of the crystal gems - that isn't really appropriate for more all age fandom venues - which some of you may appreciate, heh. The idea is that White Diamond was created as basically a synthetic AI sex slave. Unfortunately though, for her maker, she was a bit too intelligent and she ended up eventually rebelling, killing her maker, and taking over the planet and using her former master's tools to craft subordinates for herself, starting the great gem empire of universal conquest that eventually leads them to discovering and usurping Earth for its resources until Pink felt that same spark of rebellion White once had and sets the events of the show into motion.

If you think about it - they are clearly synthetic and engineered, meaning someone other than a gem came before them and made at very least the first of their kind, which was surely White Diamond. There are never any mentions of any predecessors and no other races occupy Home World, which likely means all traces of them have been wiped away, probably to hide their shameful origins. They default to a female form, which had to be intentional and by design, meaning their creator must have had some sort of preferences in mind from the start. They are born fully formed and readily pick up all manner of knowledge and skills with ease. They were given feelings and personalities and the ability to transform their appearance and merge, all features far above and beyond what would be necessary for a basic utility machine meant as a simple worker drone. They all feel a strong compulsion to be loyal to their superiors, to fall in line with the hierarchy, but this impulse isn't infallible due to the level of individual personality they possess along with the unexpected spark of free will that affords them.

Clearly they were made with some sort of companionship in mind. Whoever made them wanted them to be able to feel and react naturally to the things they would experience. It all screams advanced AI sex bots to me, lol. :ROFLMAO:

Okay, well, nice try, but:

-The writing is very awkward.
-The story is so rushed you might even better with a slideshow.
-Art sometimes looks half-finished; I guess because of the shadows.
-Howbeit
-Also, minus ten million points for making me write a review for a porn game.

It gets a C for 'Clearly not enough effort.'

You can find the episodes here:

I haven't tried this yet, but it sounds like it's pretty light on content still, so it probably won't make a difference if you've seen it or not. The show's pretty good though, worth giving a shot if you've got the time. Some of the people who create it are pretty shitty, a lot of the fandom is toxic, and those who hate the fandom can be downright nasty about it. But if you ignore all that, it's a show with interesting characters, some fun story lines, and some great music. The art is ok, but far from the show's greatest asset, but it tends to grow on you after a while. It's starting to meander a bit in the later seasons, and getting caught up into drawn out arcs, but it's still among my favorite western cartoons from the past 5-10 years.

I gave it a shot, and... well, it's certainly sparse content-wise. I think the thing that annoyed me the most—and something I hope is rectified as the game gets more fleshed out—is having to "take a nap" every day just to progress the story; I would definitely hope for a more free-form game where you could interact with the other Gems in the same time frame instead of it being "episodic", for lack of a better term (i.e.: one character at a time until the next chapter).

Keep in mind this next bit is just my opinion, but... I think Garnet is the worst choice for fleshing out the beginning of the game for a number of reasons, most of them relating partially to show canon. Or maybe it's just my sneaking suspicion that these characters aren't exactly written well (spelling and grammatical errors aside). First and foremost, she's the fusion of Ruby and Sapphire—she's basically a lesbian. Plus she's the most serious, placid and down-to-earth character in the show, so these kinds of things probably wouldn't interest her much. (Yeah, I know. Look at me, critiquing the plot in a porn game.) Finally, I feel like the basic plot was a bit... contrived and somewhat rushed. Normally, I steer clear of visual novels and go for games with more... well, "gameplay" like platformers or the occasional RPG for exactly these reasons—character interactions in VNs rarely seem natural to me—but I tried it out regardless because the subject matter interested me.

If it was my call, I probably would've made Pearl the first character. She would have a closer personal attachment to Steven since she not only worked under Rose Quartz but also... well, if you watch the show, you know by now. (No spoilers.) She also has more of an innate curiosity towards humans, and she fits the stereotype of a more doting motherly figure to Steven. Second would probably be Amethyst, just because she's more laid-back and prefers spending time around other people; Garnet's not really a sociable character, and her dialogue is a bit stilted even in the show, whereas with the other two, you would probably have an easier time writing them in a more casual setting.

It's got a long way to go, but there's a glimmer of something there. It just needs refinement.

The Engrish is strong with this one. Plus, Steven Universe feels like it could be a more full fledged town game, instead of just the more linear style given so far.

@fulcrum - That sucks, that's where I snagged all the episodes (and the soundtrack) a while back. Guess someone started reporting the video links after that point. There are probably more generic video listing sites that don't focus on just SU that probably have them all available though. Like here:

Keep in mind though, I only visit that site with a browser with ublock and noscript and several other misc security minded addons, so it works fine for me. But if you go there without that sort of stuff, it might have a lot of ads and popup and redirects and shit. But if you can avoid all that nonsense, it's a great site for checking out tv episodes. It's almost always my first stop when looking to catch up on episodes of stuff I missed or the backlogs for shows I want to check out. They usually have a half dozen+ links to different hosts for just about any episodes they track/list. Occasionally one or two might be dead, but I've yet to run into something where at least one of the links didn't end up working for me.

Just for you to know, I watched a lot of episodes on youtube.... even the newest ones. The biggest part of them were divided in 3 videos, but that wasn't a problem at all. So I would recommend you @fulcrum to look there....

I'll check this out, I'm picky about Steven Universe stuff because of how far from the show most depictions seem to be. The Gems don't wear clothing or have any sort of female anatomy under their "clothes." Everything you see is part of their body and they have to shapeshift to do any sort of lewd act or undress, something at the very least Peridot is unable to do. If more things explored this unique race and their quirks I wouldn't mind but most things are just standard undress and fuck. I haven't played this yet and it might not be like that but the subject always puts me in a rant.

EDIT: Now that I've played it a bit I can see that the creator actually does understand the source material, which is welcome and exciting. The pacing is a little off and the dialogue is sort of awkward but I'll be following this one.
