When he first meets Tix she tells him why she's there and that all Pixies are female. A few minutes later he sees her bathing, she says he's the first man to do so and he mocks her saying she's probably bathed with her father or brothers ... after already being told she lives in an all female society.

She then makes a huff about him knowing nothing about pixies despite her already explaining all this to him. It's like the first meeting never happened.

That's a bit of an oversight with the writing.

I've only finished three routes but so far this game kind of feels like a waste of time. Forget about the no sexual content, which is annoying considering this is a porn forum but whatever, the game doesn't really have romance at all. Sable is not interested in dating, which isn't unusual for VN protagonists, but he stays not interested in it right throughout the game, to the ending, and continuing in the epilogue, just ending up alone. I've only finished three girls so far but all of them ended up platonically. The very first girl introduced, who is clearly crushing on Sable the entire game, has her route end with they are just friends now. The pixie whose entire deal is trying to find a mate doesn't even have a route.

Can you have a good VN without romance? Of course you can. But the writing quality of this, while above the usual schlock western VNs put out sure, isn't enough to carry it without resorting to either porn, or pandering romance and date scenes, which the game doesn't have. I can't jerk off, I can't get a heartwarming low effort cliche monstergirl romance, and I can't get a genuinely good story, so what's the point? Just spend a few hours on a shoddy miniroute where the conclusion is 'MC is alone, heroine is alone, and that isn't going to change'. Why bother?

You haven't finished the routes if he ends up alone, those are the friendship endings. There are romance endings and bad ends.

Rei and Jorou have no romance ends at all, Eths leaves it very ambiguous with Sable not wanting to go beyond faking and Drakans 'romance' ending is Sable affirms his determination to be her friend over being her lover and then Drakans mum decides you are getting married and that's final, with plenty of exposition dumps during the route about how dragons don't fall in love, they are just super possessive. So 2 where he is single, 1 where he is in a fake relationship that he does not want to continue, and another where someone much stronger then him decides he's in a relationship and there's nothing he can do about it despite not actually wanting it before it happens.

The only girl I haven't finished is Lisha but even if her route is full on dating sim teen romance that's 1 girl out of 5, which isn't a good ratio for a VN that really has no substance to it beyond following whichever girl whose route you are in around.

Edit: Yes, Lishas is similarly devoid. Lisha actually expresses interest in Sable but Sable never thinks of dating or wanting her as anything more then a friend. Almost literally the last dialogue in the route is that they are just friends. I'm somewhat interested in how the author is going to write a route for a character who explicitly wants to breed with no sexual content, no romantic development, and the MC friendzoning her, but if this game is anything to go by the answer is he's going to do it poorly.

The author itself doesn't want to do any H content. Not now and not never. The only thing that he/she talked about, is an updated for this game for the Pixie, Trix, and some possible spin-offs. And all of them will be all-ages, according to him.

So settle down with this idea, or go and look elsewhere if you want porn.

Now imagine having to go out of a porn site to try and find porn huh.

Use your imaginations. Maybe it's not showed, but it's obvious that sooner or later, Sable will think of them as a possible partners. He just repeat the things about friendship and such because, in his own opinion, completing the whole "school route" without having to think of another matter such as a "girlfriend" is more important than anything else, just that. It's obvious that he will end up with Lisha in the end, surely after finishing the school; it's obvious that he will end up with Eth at a certain point, or maybe always after finishing the school; it's obvious that he will end up with Drakan at some point, or maybe always after finishing the school; with Jorou the only happy ending that she have, surely at one point they will get more intimate, who knows.

It's not your classic average visual novel character who after a while doesn't think about anything, besides getting that girlfriend and such, leaving outside the school, study and everything else. I mean, again, he will be busy with that, with The Hunt and such so it's not really a plausible thing giving him a girlfriend if he doesn't complete, before, what he needs to do. Especially because of The Hunt itself, since it's so dangerous like it was explained from the third year and forward, so again having a girlfriend to deal with in the meantime, can only be a pain in the ass for him. With this, I don't say that he doesn't feel anything for the girls, being friendship and/or even love for them, but simply that he doesn't.. consider the "love aspect" a necessary thing for now. At least this is my interpretation of this char.

Why, in this website, there must always be people who complain about the lack of porn in a game?

Developers are allowed to do games not focused on porn, and this website hosts also these kind of games.
If you are unsatisfied, don't complain. Simply go and find one of the many 0% plot 100% porn games that this site hosts.

If the lack of porn bothers you, it's only your problem. Developers have the right to decide the amount of " mature themes " that they put on their game.

I enjoy games like this one, focused on plot instead of porn. Sure, it may be not a masterpiece, but it's like a light novel, and i take it as such. A simple story, not too much complex, nice to read in my spare time when i do not read more "complex" books.

And let's be honest, soft mature themes that does not go into full porn are nice (like the nacked shot of the pixie roommate). It's enough to stimulate your immagination without being too much vulgar.

No, my complaints about this games are others.

1- Plot interesting but that could use some development.

2- Main Character's potrait that seems 14 years old, not 18.

3- Main character is not original. He is predictable and behave like the average anime main characters that i so much disliked when i watched animes in my teenagers years.

Why should I have to use my imagination for something as basic as 'maybe the hero will end up with the heroine'? I'm not asking for a fully detailed description of their post married life or something here. There isn't a reason there not to be more of an emphasis on character relationships in this VN. Sable wanting to do his schoolwork before finding a girlfriend is valid sure but that's his character for the entire route. You don't even need to have him change or develop, just have the route extend past the first year. Even just an epilogue. Something instead of the half assed abrupt endings that every route has. Look at Lishas "romance" ending for example. Even ignoring my earlier points about the tone of the route, you find out that Lishas mum is trying to kill her and her dad and then it just ends. Conflict still unresolved, plot threads still hanging, Sable and Lisha just friends, it genuinely feels like it's either the first part of a longer series or that it's just unfinished period.

Supplementing a story with imagination is fine. It's in fact desired in a lot of cases since no author can 100% flesh out a world and being able to add your own personal spice is a good thing. But a reader should not need to imagine that at some point the conflict is going to be resolved, that Sable and the heroines will develop as characters, and that at some point they will hook up, because if you need to come up with all that by yourself what the fuck is the point of the route in the first place?

If this had porn, or it was a sappy monstergirl love story, I would probably overlook the route and character issues since it would be obvious what the point of the game is and what it was trying to deliver. But it's not an eroge, and it's not a moege, so all that's left is the routes and characters.

That's why the author mentioned some spin-offs. Maybe they will be for other char that had some scenes, but never get around to obtain a fully route for themselves, or maybe some of them will be the "after" for each main route. And if you find so hard waiting for these without, again, using your imagination in the meantime.. oh well.. nobody is losing anything here.

Also, this is not even the first game that does this - not by this author I mean. Lots of them are like this, so complain about this in this specific one, means that you're just new to this kind of VN's. Like I said, it's not everything "roses and flowers" and not every VN is supposed to give you on a plate everything just because you don't want to imagine an ending or anything. Even lots of anime's for example have this kind of endings - though with those the complain is fair because after all, they will not get a season two or anything for obvious reasons, but this is another matter here.

But I guess that after all, this wasn't a VN for you. So let's stop here with our different opinions on the matter.

The only character I feel deserved a better ending was Jirou but it looks like the author is looking into a happier one. Not I say happier not happy.

When early in the game the Dragon girl ate with the spoon used by the main character, and he suddenly became shy and told her that it is like an indirect kiss...

allow me to say that it really was cringe worthy.

I mean, what have i just read? Only someone who have completely 0 experience talking or dating girls and that watch waaaay to much animes would write something like that.

Well, i like overhall the game so i will think that this moment never happened, hoping that nothing similar will happen again.

Sorry, but this kind of socially-awkward rubbish is really cringe worthy.

That is my problem with a lot of male MC's, especially those from Japanese VN's.

Sometimes, like here, the girls and/or story is enough for me to overlook it there are times when it gets so cringe worthy I can't read anymore and have to stop. It wasn't too bad here but every time I read "indirect kiss" in a VN it makes me want to go out and kick a puppy.

If the author is planning on making a continuation he could fix lots of stuff but I've just seen mentions of routes for girls who don't have them, not fixing existing ones. If the author has a history of writing stories like this, so ones that do not conclude, that do not develop characters, that bring up plot threads and just leave them hanging, and that are, in general, just unfinished, then I'll have to agree that this isn't a VN for me. I'm not looking for "roses and flowers" or not wanting to imagine an ending, the fact of the matter is the reader should not be expected to 'imagine' that characters just deal with, for example, literal assassination plots by themselves at some point after the route. This is the first game by this guy I've played however. There's a pretty clear difference between an open ending, and a world that allows the reader to flesh it out, and something half finished that ends abruptly midway through a story, but if it's their trend to do this then I can't imagine any spin off making the VN any better.

And the whole point of having a forum is that people can discuss the games, no? So different opinions should be a good thing.

Thank you for that info!

I was interested in that game, but if it's actually lack romance and intimate (in not-sexual way) ending with my love interest.... Then this game is a meh. Thank you for saving my time from wasting on it.

Tastes are tastes, but i treasure games that follow this format.

Or to say it better, i treasure games focused on plot in which porn is absent or simply replaced with mature suggestive pictures. I guess we can call it nudity or partial nudity instead of full porn?

Problem is that these games are hard to find. Either you have full porn or you have stupid plot, usually. Sadly.

imo drakan has the best ending/story with romance especially at the end a few of the moments with drakan made me cry
