Realistic Incest Plots

Most games here do not have a realistic plot, and incest games are usually a few steps further in absurdity.
I'm not a fan of incest games, but an unrealistic plot doesn't mean the game isn't funny to play.
A realistic incest plot would be that a father begins to sexually abuse his teenage daughter, is arrested, convicted and spends many years in prison.
But I don't know if it would be fun to play a game with such a plot.
Considering more distant family relationships, the entire Middle East is one big incest plot. In some countries in the Middle East, half the population fucks their cousins, mostly after marriage.
But it also doesn't sound like an exciting plot for a game.

Yes, the story takes place during a zombie apocalypse (so much for "realism", huh?) - however, the apocalyptic scenario only serves as a background story to put the characters into said extreme situation.
To me that's still more plausible than almost every other incest "plot" you will find on this site...

I do agree that plausibility is a better criteria than "realism". If you create a scenario or situation where there's some disruption--a sudden death in the family, divorce, a major economic upheaval, a male family member re-entering the household after years away--and/or, alternatively, there's something unusual about the MC and/or their family--he has mind control powers/is superhumanly attractive to women/the family has an unusual background and sexual ethos/magic or super-science is involved, etc.--then you can create the "means, motive and opportunity" for incest to happen.

The issue with creating a realistic/plausible/whatever incest story is the same situation all stories fall under when wanting to be put on a 'mainstream' website or turned into a game. All characters have to be 18+. To touch on issues involving sex with someone pre-18, incest or not, comes with high risks. So unless the writer wants to bore the reader with years of slow burn in the character's life once they hit 18, to finally do the act at 20, some feelings/emotions just have to go unsaid and 'skipped' during those off-limit times, making situations naturally clumsy initially.
I once thought that if I made a shota game, I'd wink at the players by referring to the MC as "just eigh teen"(sound it out).

Can't have realistic incest plot, because there are to many whiners.
Devs skip all the backstory, and jump straight to "your father died, and mom is lonely" not because showing dad using heroin would be a bad thing, but because too many players would scream bloody NTR if daddy was still around.

Incest is the most popular genre?! Man I'm out of touch. As disgusted as I personally am by incest, I would love to see some exploration into the psychological aspects of incest (it would be very case-by-case however, as incest is relative). For instance:
Parent-child incest: Possibly because the child didn't grow out of their Oedipus/Electra complex and the parent's narcissism/damaged self-esteem
Sibling incest: Possible narcissism, social isolation
Cousin incest: This is relative because marrying your cousin is legal in some countries
I'm just throwing some rather negative things out here into a void that eternally remembers all the shit I said, so don't mind me.

I wouldn't want a realistic incest plot any more than I'd want a realistic rape plot.
There's a lot of stuff in porn that would get really weird and icky if you took it at face value, so I'm fine with certain settings being just ridiculous enough that I can still enjoy it.
Besides, 95% of incest titles are just harem games that use the family setting for convenience. If you wanted to be realistic about it you definitely wouldn't get to bang mom, two sisters, an aunt and a bunch of friends at the same time, let alone expect everyone to be totally cool with the arrangement.

if you google 'full marriage equality', you'll find out pretty much every 'unrealistic plot' we see in games seems to be covered in real life. from shower peeking leading to sex with the sister to full consentual harem endings.
also I doubt realistic abusive scenarios would get much support here. the fantasy isn't that the father is raping her daughter, the fantasy is that she loves it. there's an ocean of difference between those two extremes.
even with the abusive female protagonist games where the MC can't seem to survive any situation without getting raped, almost invariably the fantasy is that she likes it. even when she pretends she doesn't.

Try Loser by Night City Productions. Its a sandbox, so you'll have to work at getting the incest plot going, and at least for Gina - the elder sister, you can see it believable that she's slowly coming over to wanting an incestuous relationship with her brother. You've got to put in a decent amount of work, and you can see her changing slowly over time, perhaps always have had some feelings for him buried deep down.
