People seem to enjoy having projects to support, it's like a whole hobby in itself. About ten years ago, the craze was supporting webcomics. It hardly mattered if the 'artist' couldn't draw for shit or string two words together without awful grammatical errors, people would give them money anyway. Eventually the 'artist' would invariably succumb to 'webcomic artist's flu,' a continuous state of being too ill to do any work, but 'totally posting 2 comics next week to make up for it.'' People still kept giving them money, for years and years, despite the latest update being 3 years old or whatever. Apparently it's tough to admit that the thing you've been nudging along and cheering for isn't going to happen.
Quite sad :cautious:

I don't get this. at all. boggles my mind how people can still give their hard earned money to support this guy.

I downloaded the previous version on a whim, after not playing for close to 3 years and was hard pressed to find any difference between now and then.

Then I read a few changelogs of previous versions, and it's basically him detailing how he fixed a typo there, or changed how one of the clothing items is described, or how a modifier now adds less of the thing it added previously. in a java text game. lol.

I assume actual patrons don't browse here often but still, do they think they're being nice by supporting him or what? you're being disrespected.
Think about it like this, all of these people support like 1-5 dollars a month. Assuming they got some sort of job, even part time, that's not a lot, now if your an old sub of his you may see the content drought starting and go "Ehhh, I'll wait a bit, it's only a month or two" (of course it never is), then you just forget about that 1-5 dollars since it's such a tiny amount. I mean I've known people who had Netflix accounts that they went "Oh shit, I went to resub and I never actually unsubbed lol" Netflix is like 10-15 dollars if I remember correctly.

I had a gym sub for 25 a month.
Kept saying I was going to go back, never did... for like five years.

I only cancelled it recently because I went back to studying and got a discounted sub at a different gym, which I do use

Has this game any image?
Not that I know of, I think somebody tried a lot time ago, but came to the conclusion that it would almost be easier to create a new game. It was a very long time ago so I could mix it up with something else. Personally I would love images, actual art preferred of course, but if not just some real porn (not a fan of Honey Select).

So apparently he commissioned the cooking scene in 0.4.27 but... It's just a cooking class with basic writing and no sex content... just a basic bring home option that you have to initiate. The instructor doesn't try shit even if he's a sleazy jerk and the cooking partner will not do anything other than oogle you or have a basic makeout. Wtf? Anyone could have written that crap... And yet it's the main addition of that month? Something he didn't even make? I'm speechless...

To be fair, aside from the subpar cooking-class, the whole weekend dating scene was changed too. It's completely different now and you actually have some choice to turn down going to a restaurant/bar and then get asked to go see a sleazy movie instead (depending on the guys traits ofc) for example.

Yeah to be honest the dating change is quite a nice change even if it basically adds nothing of real value to the game. At least it's content. I'm not paying for it so I wont complain too much about free shit anyway

The cooking was the Jan update and the date rework was the Feb update, this person would never add two things at the same time. He is trying to spread everything as thin as possible.

exactly, if people are willing to give you money for two meager scenes and a handful of bugfixes a month, why wouldn't you milk them for years?
