Unity - My Wife's a Star [v0.13 Beta] [DeviantWiz]

Intersting story and a great party scene finally (good fun for ntr likers).

I gave 4 Stars cause of the text speed...it is to slow in my mind.

I really do like to see how the story goes on and which ways ways are possible to pic. In my mind it is already are great game

One of the best game ever ! it has all the elements and nearly most of them are optional, such as ntr, which i enjoy (as long as it is not cuckold.) models are good looking and believable. just play and enjoy,

The graphics are great but the writing in this game is simply top notch. The conversations and thoughts aren't stilted, but very believable.

The Party Scene was absolutely incredible - both potential paths made sense based on the decisions made, including a surprise if you let yourself or your primary partner get too drunk.

One of the best written and enjoyable games I've seen!

Personally, this game stood out for me for one premise: the wife seeking to maintain her celebrity image while the MC kind of helplessly creates compromising situations for her because of his barely acknowledged cuckolding fetish. I've never gone for the NTR/cuckolding tags before, mostly because they always seem to revolve around one or more characters acting even more moronic than most characters in the adult-game genre. But this game has let everyone be a human so far, so now I'm paying attention.

There are an absurd amount of games about corrupting an attractive wife, but a few other things made this game unique too:

1. The celebrity/public image device gave an excuse for everyone going crazy for Val (beyond most games' excuse: the woman's over-inflated anatomy). Also, the fact that she has a public image means she can't turn into a slut overnight even if she wanted to, which is what causes most games to run out of gas. Her unattainability and resulting aloofness seems crucial to me.
2. Truth/dare parties are very common, but this game's did it for me more than most. I think it's the sense of lots of options/variations. Also the fact that it gave the characters a chance to act very differently than normal for a night, then go back to being normal people (unlike how most games do it: sluts being sluts).
3. This might be true just for my preferred track (SPOILER: drink to blackout and all-way with Val at party), but the fact that the MC and wife aren't necessarily expecting or intending things to go so far worked well for me. Corruption into slut/sex-mad has been done to death (and ends games). But I really got into this game's portrayal of the MC gradually discovering a swing/cuckolding fetish, leading to him almost unintentionally putting his wife into compromising positions (which she allows and reluctantly enjoys despite herself because she trusts her fiancee/agent), but then them both being taken advantage of by people eager for his celebrity fiancee, resulting in things sliding a little out of control, at least for a night here and there.

The other content felt less original and/or out of character for the game.

1. I could see Val starting to like a little more attention, once MC whets her appetite for it, but only as long as it doesn't turn into her going full-corrupt/sex-berserk. I know celebrities have reputations for being wild, but surprisingly few actually throw it all away as quickly as even Val is starting to (the street people, etc.).
2. The Aly track feels like a distraction (either it divides MC/wife, or Val and Aly become a little too bold and out of character). This is an NTR/cuck game, yes? Perhaps have at least one track where the MC has a crush on Aly, but doesn't want to risk their jobs/relationships by cheating, so he puts her in positions where others take advantage of her?
3. Similarly, the mega-slut artist/model swingers seeking to corrupt MC/wife feels unoriginal. Her celebrity image could take it in new directions? E.g., instead of the typical story of predatory blackmail/goading leading to corruption, perhaps the couple models some behavior and then provides another situation like the party where the MC can't resist putting himself and Val in a compromising position for his own excitement.

I'll give a 3 for the models and the scenes are decent, that's as far as my praise reaches though.

I stupidly fell for the description, more specifically the line about them getting married at the end. There is a very slim chance of that happening.

If you don't follow the guide to the letter or make 1 wrong choice she's spreading her legs to anything with a cock. Not hyperbole. I made 1 wrong choice at the party and she was getting stuffed from both ends, did it again in this update and she's fucking some old bloke.

One of the other choice of women you comfort early on makes it look like she's a sweet and innocent type you could easily fall for ... unless you go to her home and she's in the shower with her old dad tossing him off.

1 of the other girls is the cocky monster, she needs that cocky.

For some bizarre reason you can't have a happy family and happy fiance, it's one or the other. You go home with your mother in one of the first choices and Val is pissed and set on the road for studom whereas if you go home with your woman your mother is on the road to fucking your fat as hell boss.

The description made it sound like there is a chance to keep it happy but it's a typical corruption game.

If NTR, cuck, sharing, swinging and seeing loved ones fucking people with overhanging guts and receeding hairlines is your thing then this is the game for you.

If, like me, you made the mistake of going by the description then chances are this is not thegame for you.

Wow, just wow. A high quality NTR game with good renders and a great plot. The way Valerie is taken by other guys while our protagonist watches on without control is believable and super hot. Just a little better lighting would make for a great atmosphere in the game.

My only gripe with this game is the UI design. Skipping dialogue is slower than in Ren'py games and navigating the world is also slightly slower.

I'm revieweing version 0.5.

The game had built-up for this version, when we finally see some action.
I don't like the game engine, and the repetitive daily routines, but this version surely has my attention, it's improved a lot!
And the story is nice, and nothing happens too soon

Was a bit sceptical at first. Render's quality is not bad, but far from the best (i.e. a bit "grainy"). Wife's model is Ok. Not my favourite, but at least she looks like a human being, not like some boob-monster. Story developing nicely, writing is not bad either. Good NTR is always welcome. So far I'll give it 4/5.

Fantastic game! The plot is fabulous, graphics is great. I like the obedience stat it gives me hope for using Valeire a little bit harder in the future. And it's great that I was able to avoid NTR. So the game is also suitable for people that like to dominate.

This game has so much potential. This game has an extensive branching path for different situations and erotic scenes. You can skip the NTR or go full NTR or something in between. So many options including but not limited too being faithful to your fiancee, or having a fling with your assistant, or corrupting your wife for NTR. The game requires multiple play throughs to see all content and the best thing is there is ZERO grind.

even though i don't see why a dev would prefer unity over ren'py, the ride was fairly smooth thanks to the text log feature (useful in case you missed a dialog while clicking away) and the ability to save endlessly, which comes in especially handy before making a crucial decision. the plot is interesting and original, you have the ability to shape the game according to your tastes (going for max. corruption and since i find valerie a bit plain and boring, i'll pass her to others and go for the alternative beauties). the renders are pretty good, no sound as of now (didn't miss it), the script is very good and mature, and even though i don't mind retarded horny teen rhetoric at all, it was much to my liking. all in all a very promising game with some decent content already and i'm certainly looking forward to the next release with the house party and everything.

Story and writing is nice... The game flows nice has some backstory and is warming you up quite good for the stuff to come!
Sex scenes are not too many unfortunately but I love the wife and the game has lots of potential!

This is a spoiler-free review of My Wife's a Star using version 0.4-Beta.
(Originally intended as a regular post, but was quickly converted into a short review. Disclaimer: I only ever played the game twice at the time of this review, and each run used v0.4-Beta of the game.)

The game has the potential to be good; it could also go sideways. The game has been in development by DeviantWiz since late 2017, but most players will likely consider the game to be in the mid-early phases of its development cycle at this stage when compared to other similar works. There are a lot of positives here, but the game is not without its faults.

Story (Spoiler-Free)
The story of the game is about show business and revolves around an engaged couple--a talent manager (the MC) and an aspiring actress named Valerie. The player will be in control of the talent manager for the majority of the game, but will make decisions for both as they go about their lives.

The premise of the core story is... well, forgettable; there isn't anything new here from other similar works. That being said, the game has in place a system that I find very interesting--the types of jobs that can be assigned to Valerie, the fiancée, from the MC could be truly limitless. There are a lot of possibilities there including near self-contained stories à la monster-of-the-week in an episodic-like fashion. Val could become the next superstar with careful management while garnering new skills in conjunction with her ever-increasing popularity as an actress; or, she can be lead to greater depths of depravity as the MC and others influence her to accepting some questionable projects. Infamy or fame? What shall it be? Unfortunately, none of that is in play in the game as of yet (at least, not that I've seen) and so that system remains as a tantalizing carrot to be realized further in development. I have hope though for if it will be like other games that have employed such as system, then it will be fantastic (and fun)!

On another positive note, the writing style, the diction used, and the grammar is, for the most part, decent. It gets the job of conveying thoughts and ideas across to the player. It is obviously written by a native speaker who appear to have more than a fifth grade education. Thank goodness! My soul can rest easy knowing that this is the case for this game. (I will delete games if the writing is so atrocious that it causes physical pain to me simply by reading its script.) Nonetheless, the script needs to go through a good proofreading effort--above and beyond just spell checking--as errors could disconnect players from what is currently happening in the game. For example, alas is continuously misspelled as atlas in the game.

Visuals
Put simply, the renders aren't bad. The character designs and environments aren't horrible to look at; nevertheless, they're not quite exceptional or impressive. Much of it we have seen before in other projects. Environments are above average and contain enough details so that they don't feel spartan. Fortunately also, character designs doesn't have that "cookie-cutter" feel to them and that's always good!

In regards to the characters, they are pleasant to look at overall, and their personalities in the game do not feel shallow. (My favorite side characters are Harry and Dom. They don't have any sexual scenes with anyone, but they bubblegum around like real individuals which made me laugh and is a welcome reprieve from the rest of the game.) Every character has a unique look--in clothing, hairstyle (or lack thereof), and body type. Hairstyles are important! I'm so tired of seeing simple, male characters with bald heads in games. Thankfully, that's not the case here. There are a couple chrome-domes but they fit well in the game. There are two characters that I had a problem with visually. Jamal's and Darius's features were difficult for me to distinguish due to the very dark color palette used. A few shades lighter would improve those models a lot, I believe, without any loss to their respective identities. As they are now, other than their clothes they are essentially dark outlines where the character is supposed to be on the screen. Reminds me of something out of Looney Tunes.

Scenes
I'm just going to briefly touch on this since I want others to discover the game's scenes on their own. Despite the creative "Extras" menu in the game, there aren't that many scenes in the game as of yet. I feel like the game tries to railroad players into certain choices and shoehorn them into certain scenes. This has been expressed by other users in the game's thread and specific reviewers. The few (sexual) scenes in the game aren't that bad--they're provocative, sensual, and fun. The build up and the choices to reach them, however, seem disjointed from the scene itself. Regardless, this should not be considered a black mark on the game (especially considering the current state of the game). While specific actions are required to reach certain scenes like many games, I think the stats will play a more important role when the game is more fleshed out. At that point, the, uhmm, drop of coherence will probably be more pronounced but should elevate the game as a whole. I, for one, am looking forward how the game evolves in this area.

Other Issues
There are other problems too outside of minor bugs. There is a lot of rehash, or repeating (non-fun) scenes, in the game at the moment. The player will revisit the office, the home, the cafeteria, and other locations with no forward progress in any of the story lines the player might be in. This forces the player to continuously repeat these scenes again and again. It's a bit of a chore and is tedious. Hopefully, it's just groundwork for where new and awesome stuff can be injected into the game by the developer later on.

In addition to that issue, I am not a fan where the game stores its saves and settings information in the system's registry. For if anything goes even a little haywire, then things could go horribly, horribly wrong for the end-user. A player's computer can go south, and quickly, just because something went a little wonky somewhere due to playing this game. Messing around in the system registry is a "no-no". You just don't do it. This game is built in Unity, and as I understand it, it could easily accommodate a local save on one of the computer's drives such as LocalLow.

Conclusion
The game looks good despite the ho-hum story, and there is already a foundation for an excellent system revolving around assigning jobs to the main heroine (which is not yet truly utilized). The characters are interesting, and not all the scenes revolve around the MC. The game makes it feel like other characters have their own lives as well--with their own goals and their own troubles. There's some hand-holding regarding the choices in the game, but not really unexpected or out of the ordinary. The game is still in the early stages, but should be one to keep an eye on. Looking forward to where the game will go from here. ;]

Great game, great story i think the game is going in a good pace into the open relationship of the couple, i would sugest to keep it real slowly not going into a full gangbang from one day to the other.

edit: This game has some very hot NTR scenes, but it's impossible to figure out how to unlock them, so I had to resort to using someone elses save game. I'm bumping the game down to 1 star since it's impossible to figure out. In one hand it has VERY hot sex scenes, but when they're impossible to figure out how to unlock, it destroys the erotic moment.

edit: I tried the game again, but it's horrible. The dev doesn't know how to write or create erotica. He's a great programmer and knows how to produce decent technical render quality in which he gets two stars, but the erotica aspect is just not there. He doesn't know his target audience.

Render quality is outstanding. The guy knows how to do great renders, especially in door.

The female model quality is above average. The women are above average looking, but nothing jaw dropping.

The story is all over the place with no direction or focus. The game tries to introduce a giant amount of characters in a short period of time and it doesn't work. You'll see a lot of renders on people walking 5 feet, turning around, it's a waste. You'll see val in a bikini or taking a shower, nothing exciting.

The scenes have no build up and no climax. An open world design with no primary goal leaves the end user feeling lost. I'm very bored with the game so far, but I'm going to press on.

Okay, just finished. The beginning of the game sets up nothing. There is no direction, no focus, just empty filler that is failing to setup any climax. There's a scene where she drives in her car and guys check her out. We don't need to see that she's desired by other men, we already know she is because she's done porn.

The title of the game is "My Wife's a star". Here's what should've been shown early:

- watch the porn video that val already made in the living room, then have a discussion about it.
- setup her next video shoot and then discuss how you & val feel about it.
- watch her get fucked
- afterwards talk about it
- setup more guys to fuck her
- watch it live or on video with her in the living room watching it too
- she asks , "what should i wear for my next porn scene?" then you say a bikini or a nurse outfit or ....

This isn't rocket science, lol. Then from there just keep making more wild & crazy scenes, having her do more degrading things. A simple formula like that can work well.

Compared to the Previous versions,I Like Version 0.4 the Best,
But I then restarted the Game,and with the Help of the Timeline (Great),
I was able to go back to check if I could trigger the missing scenes,
I wish other Games had a time line like this Game.
Some Scenes are Harder to trigger then other ones,but this makes time fly...
what would be Great is,if you could go backwards without saving all the time to see if the scene was triggered,this becomes tiresome with time,
starting to get problems with my fingers from saving and going back all the time.
The Story and Renders are Great, the few Sex scenes are also awesome, the only thing keeping me from giving it more stars, is that it seems to be going ahead a little slow,but it could also be that I,m just hungry for some real Action with the Couple.
Time will Tell.

This is a very impressive debut. What's great about this game is the story, it's unique and sets up for a lot of exciting scenes in the future. Not to mention that the women in the game are BEAUTIFUL. Especially for those who like NTR, this game seems like it will turn out to be a must-play. I can't wait to see where the wife's acting career will take us, all the situations and scenarios that will come up along the way! The quality of the game is top notch too, hats off to the dev for some beautiful women and fleshed out dialogue. Hope to see it continue to grow, but for anyone who likes quality corruption/NTR games, this is a must!

Wow, dev really brought this game back from almost being forgotten. The last update was awesome, and really showcased the potential of this game. I'm not sure what some of the other reviewers are talking about the story being bland, it's actually a really refreshing plot that is one of my all-time favorites. Being engaged to a beautiful actress and trying to wrestle with her stardom and lust, as well as your fantasies, presents a lot of opportunities for exciting scenes. The female models, especially Valerie, are pretty sexy and all the scenes are well done. Anyone who is into the swinging/cheating genres should definitely check this game out, but honestly it's worth it for any taste. Hope to see this game take off, I am a huge fan.

Very impressive debut.

Pros:
-The story concept is refreshingly original.
-Great looking models in general and one smoking hot model in particular.
-The dialogue is natural and realistic.
-I'm not a big fan of Unity games due to the click-fest which normally comes from constantly selecting various rooms/places to talk to different people but I like the office layout here. The choices are simple and work effectively to drive the story.
-Real NTR. When I get a tightness in my stomach while reading the story, I know it's the real deal.
-The environments are well done and I actually want the shower from the game. The shower waterfall and plants and rocks around it to give it a natural look make it really cool.
-Overall quality of everything is really high for a 0.1. Again, impressive debut.
