I still have no idea what muv luv is about. I only played the first one and it was about marrying a rich girl who hated being a corporate daughter.

the first one is there to introduce the characters, their stories, to make them likeable (or not likeable depending of your taste).. once you do the main story of the rich girl and the childhood friend, you unlock the second muv-luv... wich is REALLY different from the one, and you don't get why... until you play the third one where everything is resolve, if it can be called resolved..
Muv-Luv trilogy is one of the best visual novel i had the opportunity to play, though you have to put your time into it

Allow me to smile when i read people ignoring this game just because there is no sexual tag.

I mean, Muv Luv (unlimited, Alternative) are probably some of the best Visual novels in terms of plot and drama ever made.

You don't play Muv Luv for porn:

you play Muv Luv for the plot and characters. And if this VN is like the ones before...

You will like the characters, you surely will. And then you'll suffer emotional trauma because they will all die, one after another.

MuV Luv alternative is average, with a good production value for a VN. The story drags on a bit at some points, and other points make no sense in the grand scheme of things. I had no idea there was a side story for Unlimited. I doubt it had as much care put into it as alternative, but eh

I mean, the main character had such a nice development. Finally he had become a man... only to revert back to a being a silly comedy character like in the very first game

Muv Luv is unironically the most recent mecha epic since like gundam, but because it is 'gory' and borders on echi it doesnt get much mainstream appreciation and cant get much adaptations.

no its because its less of a light novel and more like a full blown book series like dune an epic, its not adaptable without doing like 8 seasons if we are talking just about the main story trilogy
