Doesn't matter. Abandoned tag won't be removed until an actual update release happens. The game is no longer abandoned, she made an announcement on her blog back on the 17th and one on the 24th.
She is well aware of this forum. And 4chan.This is under the assumption that Innoxia even knows F95 exists, and to that extent, gives a shit about people who visit sites like F95 (the vast majority of us DON'T pay for most stuff, that's why we're here). The odds of both of these things being true is very low.
Well one is always free to choose a license which restricts that sort of thing. Personally I'm partial to working in an open source space. That's working for free for someone else to come, use the framework to make some junk and shove it on patreon to milk the paypiggies without you getting a dime. In an ideal world group projects like that would be feasible, but in reality those are few and far between.
Inno definitely used to read the thread. More than once she put things in the blog directly referencing or addressing this thread. And she used to bitch about it a ton on discord. What's the point though? I don't see how the abandoned tag on F95 matters to her in any way since I doubt there's more than a few (maybe not even ONE) single payer for LT who frequents this thread (I doubt that many frequent the site either), given how much we (deservedly) bash her shit work ethic/exploitative emotional manipulation and her simping idiots who continue to pay her.
I'm certain as long as it isn't a one-to-one copy Inno legally won't be able to do anything. Just gotta give it a new story, adjust a few of the mechanics, replace a few terms here and there and boom! A unique enough property that courts would give the benefit of the doubt. The idea of suing someone for improper monetization of an open source porn game is hilarious though. "Your Honor, you'll note that the fuckable nipple code in exhibit B is directly derived from my own."
With code it's actually quite easy to get away with it. As long as you can prove you wrote it, even if it's a carbon copy of someone else's code, you're gucci.I'm certain as long as it isn't a one-to-one copy Inno legally won't be able to do anything. if you tried something like `java -jar LT.jar` that wont work you will i think need to specify the nashorn runtime on the commandline,is there any kind of "installation guide" for ubuntu-based linux (and other distros) that is easy to understand for non-technical users? I tried to get the .jar file to run on linux mint with OpenJDK Java 11 Runtime but it didn't work.
what is the nashorn runtime and how do i specify it on the commandline?if you tried something like `java -jar LT.jar` that wont work you will i think need to specify the nashorn runtime on the commandline,
Nah those comments deserved to be turned off, I say this as somebody who thinks this development is ridiculous and a borderline scam. Those comments while sometimes were constructive were mostly just used to insult the dev, who the hell wants to read/moderate that, especially when the dev clearly has some mental health problems lol.Inno definitely used to read the thread. And Inno, you're still a fucking coward. Turn comments back on you coward.
I think the comments devolved into a slice of pol from my own memory.Nah those comments deserved to be turned off, I say this as somebody who thinks this development is ridiculous and a borderline scam. i dont remember exactly but i once setup a bash script using info herewhat is the nashorn runtime and how do i specify it on the commandline?
Edit: I'm using linux mint and it comes with OpenJDK Java 11. I tried to just open it in Nemo by making it executable and then right clicking it and selecting Open With OpenJDK Java 11 Runtime
Care to expand on this? What echochamber, what goons, and what are they doing. Im New to the game and thread, and I dont want to miss out on potential dramaShe is well aware of this forum. And 4chan.
Both live in her head rent free as the places she can't convert into echo chambers.
A complaint she and her sycophants made many a time in her Discord.
That is why Discord exiles end up here.
IIRC she or her agents TRIED to get moderators involved at one point. It did not go as she planned.
I just have to say that anyone thinking they can turn 4chan into an echo chamber is "my sides are in orbit" laughable. She is well aware of this forum. And 4chan.

That's how it actually works. No updates in 6+ months without any news about development, gets the game marked as abandoned. When update drops (and only when it drops, just news isn't enough at this point, as the dev may not follow on them), tag gets removed, at least for a time being.Should probably mark that this game is no longer abandoned. At least, if/once a new update is posted.
Heck yeah, sounds to me like that's the way it should work. I've seen a lot of scammer game programmers "announce future updates" for a project that they never actually planned on returning to, all just so they could siphon a tiny bit more lifeblood from their loyal followers without putting in any additional work. That's how it actually works. Inno was always like this, it's just that this time, there weren't even mandatory excuse posts, earning the tag.
