I have this problem on chrome, but not on edge
That means Chrome likely is missing the codec to take care of that video. Chrome's not a great choice anyway with how much ram it eats up and the absolute lack of actual privacy.
Little advice would be to play your HTML smut games on something like Firefox. Not everybody's favorite, but I've only encountered a single game so far that had issues with it.

Every encounter with an NPC lasts one or two pages (in web terms, not length) before you're either denied of sex (due to either your choices or failing to meet requirements) or sex happens. Every sex scene features at the minimum 4 clips, usually more. The screenshots provided are an accurate representation of what you'll be looking at - I'm not here to vomit novels at you.

it's only brief and didn't add significance to the outcome
other than that, nice presentation
intertwined perspective that create omnibus story is always good, if done right
but lack of background setup make it like a lame excuse to combine that story together, for now

The game wasn't supposed to have the option to name your character when I started working on it, but after reading some threads here I found that some people really dislike not having one. No skin off my back to add it, and the name remains persistent throughout resets so you don't have to retype it every time (until you close the window, that is).

As for the lack of background setup, I agree that it is glaring and highlights the sparsity of current content, but at the end of the day this is just a porn game. I could have written a three-page backstory to tell players what the spirit is, where it comes from, why is it doing the things that it is doing and whatnot, but none of that stuff matters in the actual game. Similarly, all the people you can possess are colorless stereotypes by design to ensure that your interactions aren't hindered by your character suddenly going "No, I'm not the kind of person that would do that" in the middle of an encounter.

(I think there's a good set-up here. It's quick, fun, and with the ability to repeat the day, the qualifications and requirements aren't really an issue. Early days, I'm not sure if this simplicity will continue to be a strength or need to be added to down the long haul, if certain things will need to be kept between resets to make it feel like it's a proper game or the like. But right now, it's good quick fun, and one of the few games where I can happily be a bastard without being punished or some ridiculous 'but it's okay because you hug puppies' thing. I'll keep an eye on this, I look forward to seeing where it's headed.)

I think a good addition would be a way to record one's progress of seeing what event, as I found myself trying to remember what scenes I saw and what breakpoints of stats I needed (like if I got the first sex check, but not the second one). Sort of like how Incubus City had those tokens that showed you what you've done, but it'd be up to you how to implement it. It's a great start that you have, I liked seeing how my previous choices affected the characters in different areas. Feels much more impactful than most of the "your choices matter" games around here, and its really quick to go back and try a different way.

i have the exact same issue, i have wanked to lots of html games with webm files and never had this issue.
Is it just one video, or do you have the same problem everywhere else? All videos are in the .webm VP9 format, try finding something of a similar nature online and check if you can view them. Another person posted about being unable to view the videos earlier, but the post was deleted before I could reply to it, so I assumed that the problem there was fixed. If it wasn't and I see more posts about this issue, I'll redo the files in .mp4 come next update.

I get where you're coming from, but due to how the game is set up adding tokens or a similar tracking mechanic is not going to work out here like it did in Incubus City. Best I can do is meet you in the middle. From the next update on, every stat check will show how many points you need to pass it so players aren't stumbling in the dark as they retry the same encounter with a different but still insufficient amount of points.

Converting to .mp4 it is then. It'd be great if someone with this problem could join the so we could test the next batch of files before it goes public.

I've got to say i really enjoyed the game and the content there is. It's like a nice choose your own adventure game, where choosing a different path does quite often bring you to a different outcome.

v0.11 is up! 6 new encounters, 50 new clips - all in .mp4, so hopefully the issue that some players were experiencing is resolved. Also, the game is now playable . And now that I've passed the hurdle of the first update, I wanted to give you a heads-up on what is to come next.

First of all, I'm announcing the switch to a consistent bimonthly (the "twice a month" kind, not "once every two months") release schedule. Expect the next update to be exactly two weeks from now.

Secondly, I've revised my page. I'd left most of the settings on default when I launched it, but I've since read up on how the whole thing works so I'm changing the tiers from $3/$5/$15 to $1/$3/$20 (the prices may vary depending on the region, I haven't actually figured out how the whole thing works). Patrons will be getting their updates at the beginning of each second week rather than close to its end.

Thirdly, and this is regarding the actual content of the game - you may notice that almost none of the new encounters in this update are conditional (i.e. most of them are available by default and don't arise as consequences of your actions in previous days). This kind of goes against the core design principles that I'd espoused previously, so I wanted to address it. The game is still in its early stages, and while I was able to sandwich some conditional encounters in the initial release, introducing new NPCs and playable characters through updates is a different beast entirely. The process of change is going to be gradual, but let me assure you that these are just growing pains, and that each of the following updates will have more focus on your actions and their consequences. The next update will have two conditional encounters, the one after will have three, then four... I don't know if I'll go past four yet. My goal is to raise the number of encounters to more than double the number of NPCs, but first I need to actually introduce characters, playable and not, to have them interact in plausible scenarios.

With that said, have a nice weekend! The poll on my (gotta plug it twice, don't I? May as well mention my too) for the focus of the next update will be up until Monday, at which point I'll begin working on v0.12.

what happened to this game? links for discord, patreon, gamecore don't work. why is it abandoned?
