Seems a lot of people are understandably confused. Can we get the front page to show "demo" on the first download instead of just "windows"? The second download is the actual game but is simply labeled "1.0.4".

Version 1.2a is a Demo of the game that would become 1.04.
However it plays totally different, so you should play both.
Also as mentioned by axelfire, Oko included a debug menu on 1.04 to skip having to play and just get the sexy scenes. You do this by pressing left and right a bunch of times on the main menu until it flashes white.
Oko (creator of this game) also made 2 other games. Star Knave which is kind of the demo of his last game Stellinavra.

to add further context the 1.2a demo is allegedly of the second episode as oposed of the 1.04, this is supported by the fact that the ???? episode thing has a picture of natalie in it
would enjoy the game even without the sex scene / gameplay, the whole story about cyberpunk city society is already good enough for me enjoy the game. Also the vibe this game have is amazing, certainly love to see the game finished, though kinda curious about scenario, is it going to be like separate story or different chapter of progressing story from the first scenario ?
The sad thing is it won't matter anymore because oko Unfortunately retired years ago so there won't be any updates to his amazing games. I really hope that he does come back one day and gives us one to finish off Late Shifter or even a sequel to Stelinavra.
Is there a walkthrough for all the endings of the demo version ? A post earlier mentions all the endings but not how to get them..
welp... that's quite unfortunate it's such a good game, well hope this could inspire any game developer who would want to make this kind of genre and mechanic...

The game always bugs out after replacing the battery. she says enjoy me at my leisure then the dialogue loops starting the battery replacement again and the sprite shifts to the left behind the wall into the table and then can't do anything anymore. Multiple attempts/reloads, always same result.
edit: I rewinded further and swapped from the sex deal to the BJ and thus circumvented the looping wall teleport bug. Annoying, but at least could finish that route.

They are completely different games. Demo is a lot shorter.

I downloaded the file and ran it through virustotal, like I always do. Multiple security vendors found an issue with the file. So yes, I am sure.
How about all of them? It's the executable file that's infected, not the links, you absolute moron. Just for you I downloaded it from multiple sources, and yes - you fucking retard - all of them are infected. Does that compute?
Can anyone explain to me why people on this website are so hostile to others trying to warn them? Does f95 exist to spread malware, or is there something else I'm not aware of?

Other than the fact that most people don't know how to read a VirusTotal result and understand the concept of false positive? It's not all that uncommon for people (who don't use ad blockers) to accidentally download malware from an ad and mistake that as the file everyone else is getting. There's also cases where a specific program or file packaged with the game, such as ones used in text hooking programs, gets flagged and people that don't understand why it gets flagged have a knee-jerk reaction of calling the download a virus.
Now unless you're savvy with computer security, it's strongly not recommended for you to download a possibly infected file just to double check if that's infected. So the rational thing to do is ask questions and try to figure out whether the person making the claim has any weight to what they're saying. Also, personally downloading an infected file from multiple sources to try to prove a point doesn't exactly give us, or at least me, hope that you know what you're doing.
But considering that the game's been around since 2017 and most of us on the thread that have downloaded/played the game hasn't had an issue, you'd have to understand why we'd be extra skeptical. Plus, someone already addressed why the game might be flagged as a virus and nothing you've said indicates that you're experiencing a different issue.
If you think what I'm saying isn't fair, you're free to share your thoughts.

I think that in itself is plenty fair, and I understand skepticism, but hostility towards someone clearly going out of their way to help others is at the very least strange. I don't quite understand the culture here.
As for downloading infected files just to scan them - as far as I understand, at least - zipped files are not a threat, and even if you unpack them, they won't just start running code automatically? Do I have that wrong?

You indeed have it wrong. I'm not wholly up to date with today's computer security, but you can literally get malware from an infected ad playing on a website (which has happened to me even before I discovered porn), opening an infected email, clicking an infected link that seemingly doesn't do anything, viewing an infected zip file, just having an infected zip file on your system, etc. You also have to understand that a zip file can look like a zip file, smell like a zip file, and feel like a zip file, but is actually an executable. You should never open any suspect file, link, whatever, even out of curiosity. Not all viruses behave alike and just as your antivirus updates every so often, so too do viruses designed to get around that.
