Ren'Py - Completed - Knightly Passions [v1.03 Steam Gold] [FEYADA]

First of all i love the art style and gameplay. Im fond of card battle systems in games since they are engaging while not being a nuance. I love the scenes with pink elf and the nuns. It's only a shame we get new content so sparingly. The biggest issue I have is having to start all over every patch. It's a massive minus for otherwise great game

I have mixed feelings on this game. First, some pros:

+ Art is fantastic. Among the best 2d game art period. Crisp, emotive, detailed, etc. 10/10
+ Animations are also rather well done
+ Actual gameplay is cohesive and legitimately fun. Battling is a bit simple, but overall, all the systems from map to inventory to skills work seamlessly
+ Minigames are not too annoying and grinding amount needed is very reasonable

Now the cons that make this a 2.5 star experience:

- Absolutely glacial update pace. This was one of the first lewd games I played, literal years ago, yet from what I can remember there's basically only one more sex scene and no main plot progression compared to today's version. Granted, the art has gotten better and animations were included, but basically no more content.
- Very few lewd scenes. Like, it's supposed to be a porn game yet there are only a handful of scenes and they take quite a while to get. Basically there: there is just one extended scene with the elf and two with the nuns
- Unexpectedly dark and punishing storytelling at times. Like, even in the beginning the witch straight up fiat murders you if you select the wrong dialogue option and later on the elf comits semi-graphic suicide unless you chose to lie to her. Like wtf. I'm here to have fun and get off, not Deal with dead elves

Overall, I think this game could easily be a 4/5 or 5/5 if it just had more damn content, in both main-questline and lewd scenes, but judging by the existing update rate, I'm not getting my hopes up.

I love the art style of the game, the way quests are handled and the overall pace.

- It never gets really grindy, though if you do feel it is to much i would recommend using cheats to get more gold.
- There are always several options to complete quest, my personal favorite is spending points in charisma. But if you want to be more battle focussed there are options for that also.
- The quests are completely clear about what you need to do, rarely ever you need to look around what to do next.
The most often i got stuck was when i fast forwarded through the dialogue, and even then it barely ever happend.
- Porn scenes, bit sparse in the beginning except the witch. But ones it starts rolling you be knees deep in them and loving it

game has incredible artworks.
also missions are very clear, easy to complete without getting lost... sadly most games in here don't have this very important thing.
very good turn based fight screens. fun to play.
game menus are also good.
nice story, good charecter designs.
Game's only weakness is very there are limited lewd animatons/scenes. there are too many good characters but you can't do anything to them )) it's really painfull

I love this game for a considerable number of different interactive elements, such as mini-games, inventory system and interactive map. I can feel developers try to make a good game and as a result, this project is really cool!

It's a well-crafted game, with great plot, great visuals and a friendly developer.

Because the game is non-linear, I can enjoy the storylines I want in the order I like the most.

The elf girl is really hot too. I believe this game has a bright future.

I downloaded this game for the art and throughout v0.9a the art is absolutely amazing, it has a decent combat that revolve's around action points and card's that require a certain amount of AP and a nice simple gearing system.

the music dident get annoying after a while and it had appropriate sounding soundtracks for what was currently happening in the game, it did have a light grind for creature parts but you can easily unlock a "sweep" function to quickly grind mobs so it dident even matter.

The main story and the majority of the side quests were entertaining, i did skip about 1 or 2 whole side quest dialogue but the main downside is there isn't much sex scenes i unlocked almost all of them at the end of v0.9a, i believe there was 10 sex scenes and they were animated in live 2d and honestly they looked fantastic that being said it took me about 6 hours to beat this version, that wraps up my review go ahead and try it out if you are on the fence it's also at the time of this review a 640Mb download.

This game has an awesome artistic direction, animations are great and there are a couple different minigames that are quite entertaining. Very exited to watch it grow into a fully developed game, its a must play!

Having a hard time scoring this game. It's got:
+ great art
+ great animations
+ decently fun combat
- pacing is off. The time between when you unlock scenes is too long and you will likely finish the main quest long before you've unlocked all the scenes, which you will end up having to grind by fast forwarding through time a lot.
- combined with the above point, there's too few actual scenes and too few
romanceable characters

There's also -a lot- of dialogue which, admittedly, I did skip through -a lot- as well. Can be a pro for those interested in the world but it felt like quite a slog to even skip through the dialogue to get to the new scenes, that's how long the time between scenes is. It doesn't help that it's got a combat system as well you need to partake in to grind money and survive.

All in all I expected more considering it's got a 4.5/5 rating on the forums.

So the art is awesome. Scenes are great.

Combat is pretty nice, although it can quickly get tedious when you have to grind enemies for money or a quest. There is an auto-battle feature but unfortunately it also deducts your health even if you'd normally take no damage from that battle.

Stats are... unbalanced currently. Get 5 charisma just to talk to the innkeeper about the elf and then reset your stats at the witch to dump them all into combat and hunting instinct (boosts defense after 2). I'm pretty sure the price reduction for Charisma is only 1% per point which is awful compared to the amount of money you can easily make from hunting with high instinct and combat to streamline the process.

The biggest con for me is the writing. You see these reviews about this game having 'good writing'? 100% hogwash. If you take your time to read through this game instead of skipping through the dialogue like I assume they did, you will see many cracks start to form. The elf's introduction? Makes no sense when you find out she can not only understand what everyone is saying, but can clearly communicate too. I already wrote a post about it, but in short it's very jarring. There's several instances of the writer forgetting that they already revealed something. Characters will have very odd mood swings where you've earned their trust one minute and in the next you're seen as very shady. There's some very odd quirks in the dialogue that don't fit the setting, one of which is the MC saying "Jesus" as if Christianity exists in this fantasy setting. All in all, there is a massive lack in quality control. Either that or there is something very wrong with the translation somehow, but this is not like translating Japanese/Chinese to English where there is some subjection, so I doubt the translation is the problem. The writing problems are not going to take away your enjoyment of the xxx scenes or the gameplay itself, but if you're looking for good writing you won't find it here. I found myself completely out of immersion because of it.

Up there with What A Legend as one of the two best cartoon-fantasy based sex games on the site. In fact, these are two of the best games on the site in general, regardless of genre. I can't figure out which of the two is better, honestly.

Great art, sex scenes and game-play. Very interactive, with great writing for a cartoon-based porn game (though I know that's not saying much as the bar is generally set pretty low for adult games).

All in all, absolutely worth a play-through.

The game is magnificent, the art is exciting and the story is well centered, which together makes the experience very good. There's not much I can say other than what many other reviews have already praised, but I wanted to leave my rate, because it's an excellent game.

While the game has been slow to progress in terms of gallery content it has come a far way since release. The quests and story are much more polished but for the most part the scenes are the same. The music and artwork really give this game a lot of promise!

Very good game.
Pros: Good Art, nice card battle system, standard cool rpg quest system, not boring good gameplay, sometimes humour. Loved the random events at the monastery at night.
Cons: few pron scenes (at about 10)

Its a really beautiful game, everything there is so appealing.
Story is really good and funny at times.
Animations are very decent.
Combat is not complex but simple which i like so much, its also not hard.
Theres a skill point system which is also very interesting.

Nice art, well written and paced well. I can see this game being fleshed out into a classic. The fight mechanics are simple and intuitive and doesnt get too old. I really look forward to seeing what comes after v0.7a

This game has amazing potential, but I recommend waiting until more content is added. The art is incredible, yet there is hardly any sexual content in v0.7. The 4 sex scenes that are in the game are very well animated, and the girls are very attractive. The combat is too slow and easy. Each battle is basically the same thing, so I wish there was an option to skip all combat encounters. The game is mostly linear and is close to just being a visual novel. A simple fix would be adding a line for her like, "I've been so lonely up here. You're the first person I've trusted in a long time, and I've only had my fingers to keep me company. Could I persuade you to get more intimate with me?" There are long periods in the current game without any sexual content. I would like it more if there was a sex scene every fifteen minutes or so.

After more updates, I hope the witch, nuns, and elf become a harem for the MC and live with him. It would be great if the MC could impregnate each of them and the pregnancies go away after a few days. I'm also a fan of exhibitionism and casual nudity. It would be nice if the girls could be convinced to automatically get naked each time the MC comes home. Another scene where the girls are only wearing leashed collars and walking around town with the MC would be appreciated.

The big plus point of the game is the artsytle it's beautiful and got it's own charm. So we got cute and sexy elf, nuns and witch. Game got sandbox elements like many other 2DCG games. But it's not that much grind. Got fair amount of content.some story lines are interesting and others are not that much. Overall the game is good and have it's own charm. If you like fantasy games with some beautiful art give this game a try.

Art is fantastic, and is one of the few games that actually has some solid, interesting gameplay in it. I think this has a solid amount of potential, the story is engaging, the H-scenes are great, and there are plenty of laughs as well.

And, to reiterate, the art is phenomenal. Love hand drawn games, especially ones this well done.

Oh boy, where do I start with this one..

Let's be real here, if you're looking for a game to jack off to, I mean, this game has amazing art, hands down one of the best I've seen on this website. However, there's SOME occasional gore that might shrinkle the pickle.
Personally, I enjoy the few more "bloody" scenes because this IS the type of game where violence is common while others may not, so take this as a sort of Trigger Warning (I believe all of them are avoidable tho)

The OST for this game is awesome too! The music used while in town during day time is one of my favorite. It feels very "middle ages" while still sounding so soothing and cheerful.
The boss OST (Yes, the game has bosses for you to fight and this one is for you, anime fans) sounds a tad like something out of Demon Slayer, which is pretty cool!

The only negative aspects about this game for me is that there's a few characters where the H-scenes just feel REALLY rushed... On one day, you're getting to know girl A, the next time you visit her, BOOM. "Pick your hole" type of sex right off the bat. I wish the developers would move forward from this point on and try to make the character development feel as realistic and plausible as possible. The animations also aren't the best but I'd say the art more than makes up for it, I hope he'll also focus on that aspect once he adds more content in.

Other than that, great game! It's not super grindy, there's tons of ways to make money so you don't feel stuck on any quest.
All and all, it's a 9/10 game but the closest to that is 5* so we'll go with that rating.
