While the main story is more linear, side stories will have more variety (like choosing between blackmail and vanilla romance, etc).
That actually sounds like a good idea. It enables you to include variety and options while still maintaining a stable narrative throughout the game.

Same for 80% of the non AI games.

Daz, Honey Select, etc are all easily recognized and lack the same "creativity and innovation" . Iif you want originality look for the "hand drawn" tag.

For me if it's good images and story then I don't care who or what made it.
Considering how many hand-drawn games are just traced from porn movie stills, I'd also include 80% of them in the "lacking originality" group.

AI art is just like any other art: the majority will be "meh" because people are not trying hard enough, but there is plenty of good AI art out there. Judging any art by the tools used is pointless.

If only there were some sort of... what do we call it... a tag system, perhaps, one that tells you what type of content a game features, including the type of tools used for image creation, so that one might be able to avoid things like AI art when they don't like it, instead of forcing themselves to post silly comments like "is this real art or AI art" because they need everyone to know what they think of AI art every single time...

You guys are exhausting...

Here is why this is a bad talking point: Not all AI CG games are made equal. Some of them are actually interesting as games rather than just a glorified, poorly written VN with AI CG.
Excluding the tag does not distinguishe between good games and low effort ones.

Just like RPG maker games. Some are good, some are obvious low effort. Deflecting any form of criticism by saying "just block the tag" is cheap, it is bad for the community and it is cowardly.

As for this game in particular, I will save judgement for when more content is out. The setting is interesting enough and not particularly saturated. Not a big fan of the font and UI, though.

That WOULD be a bad take... if the criticism I was addressing was "bad game using AI art", and not "AI art itself is bad, and not real art". I didn't deflect any criticism to bad games (or mention that at all), I pointed out that if someone doesn't like AI art and feels the need to bash developers simply for using that tool without even bothering to check the game, they should just block the tag and move on with their lives instead of bothering others with "hot takes" that no one cares about.

If anything, I must question why you took the time to make this strawman argument that has no more than a passing resemblance to my point.

Actually, it does come out in quite the abundant amounts. In my case at least.
Prompting me to have to wipe it out every time i'm horny - continuously, otherwise i'd have to replace my pants lmao.
So yeah, maybe your tralala has a problem, in which case i'd suggest visiting the doc.:coffee:

I suppose that what happens in preview image 9, is what you discover if you take the option to follow the girl in image 6... What a waste.
The game need a voyeur tag.

Winter is coming and with it, a slew of poorly made AI CG cash and grabs. The modern F95 classic. 0.1 release, ai cg, and a new creator already with a link to their newly made subscription service.
Yep. The more things change, though, the more things stay the same; people mass produce DAZ, HS, Koi, all with its own deeply disturbing cookie-cutter default. Chikaface abounds. That's not to say there aren't a few great Koi games, and an increasing number of great HS(2) games.

But the point being, there are, and there's going to be a lot of default-style AI CG games flooding the market. Some of them might actually be good, if you don't have inherent problems with AI. This site has numerous games that are hugely popular that have low-effort default-face/texture HS and Koi models.

Although the author has done a good job amongst these preview images, I sincerely doubt that keeping a character consistent using AI will work very well...

EDIT: I had a bunch of games listed here as what in my opinion are examples of good games that break the mould, but according to rules that may not be advised, so I removed them...

So, main character is a civilian with no superpowers, that infiltrates a group of superheroes, to take them down. Sounds like someone's been watching The Boys, lol.

Well, it is pretty, but also pretty short - so far - so hard to judge how it will turn out.

I like the concept, and there is actual variety in character body designs, so those are both plusses.

I also like that there are actual "bad endings" that you can get, though if you are going to have a lot of those I'd wholeheartedly suggest you implement something like the Tiger Dojo from Fate:Stay/Night and give better hints about how to avoid them or make them something humorous/fun to run into so the dump back to the menu sucks a little less.

It probably also needs some sort of UI to track info the MC learns about his targets as I really don't want to have to commit all the target info to memory or have to go back to the lair regularly to check it as that doesn't feel that graceful in terms of gameplay flow.

As much as I hate to suggest it, this is actually a case where the ubiquitous "cel phone as UI" might make sense in terms of the MC having a notes app tracking what he learns.
