How come Skyrim is still the best porn game out there?

So... yeah I was bored and this random ass thought came to mind. How come Skyrim is the best porn game without even being a porn game?

Think about it, you have some high quality character customization, can play as male or female, has gameplay that integrates the sex, you can do whatever weird shit you feel like with whatever weird shit character you feel like.

Its obviously using the appropriate mods, but really, what the fuck? If you can prove me wrong, please go right ahead, I will gladly play whichever game is better.

Most porn games are shitty shovelware. Skyrim mods got countless hours of collective work by different people. The skyrim mods are crafted with love and passion, often with the sole intention of pleasing the creator but also to be enjoyed by others. Skyrim has also been out for quite a while so modders have been working on their mods for years. While many porn games are made to make a quick buck by few people. Of course there are many devs that are passionate about making their game. But in my opinion there are far more bad games than good ones.

I do love the game and everything it offers (never played with any porn/sex mods though). But, and it might sound strange, but when I played that game, going west of Whiterun, far enough to not hear the sounds from the town anymore.

I used to love just sitting there for a moment, listening to the wind, running water and insects all around. It always reminded me of going to the North of Ireland fishing, totally away from the world. Never played a game that could get to me like that.

I know, I already said it was strange, but there you go.

That just sounds like some ones/some peoples opinion, and not something proven by any realistic means of measurement... And by proof, I mean a study based off thousands if not tens of thousands of votes by the general population of players/readers?

It's like saying that The Sims 2 and/or 3 with all the sex mods is better then any other Erotic/Adult VN/Game on the market, complete or not... Maybe for some people it is (don't count me in that category) but for the vast majority it sure isn't...

There is no current way to get a true and accurate measurement of any VN/Games total worth to the readers/players... As a majority of players/readers never even give their opinions on sites like these, or want to even be known to play/read VN/Games like these... The reviews and feedback you ever see on sites like these, is only a tiny fraction of the total players/readers... Which makes it practically impossible to know what VN/Game in this genre is truly the best, or even close to being in the top 20... All we have are small amounts of individual opinions and personal best lists... And that will probably be the closest to true measurements we will ever really have in this industry... And I've seen no proof that makes Skyrim the true best, in any way...

For me personally, it doesn't even register a score...

Well, arguably The Sims 4 also stands right by its side (in my honest opnion, even better), also well modded even games that are lower end like Rimworld and Starbound are fully modded to the porn market (if thats your thing), what i think stands out in skyrim is the bestiality if you like that sort of thing

Side note as Zippity posted almost same time: I totally agree with Zip on that, i for one have more interest on projects from actual devs dedicated to the VN Porn Market rather than modded porn games.

You do make a very good point actually. Mods are free accepting some donations in some cases just because why not while most of the games we have here are just made to get paid for them.

I've never tried them myself, but supposedly the adult mods from loverslab are the cream of the crop as far as sex/fetish stuff goes... at least from what I've understood.

Might have to do with Skyrim having a better foundation to work with. any game you make in RPGM is gonna be pretty bland and look like it was made for Game Boy. Ren'py is limited to good VN's and you can put some RPG elements into it. To make a really good porn game you would need a good size team and use Unity or Unreal

If it's any consolation, I didn't play Skyrim but I did play DeLuca Family.
(and liked it a lot).

Anyway, with regards to the OP, I agree with @Zippity.
It's already really difficult to say which game is better, because it's comparing apples with oranges. Skyrim is not The Sims, although both are 3D, feature customisable characters and are somewhat open world.

When you are talking about porn games, the further difficulty is to add "fappability" to a game. This means that the story should be erotic in itself, as a build-up to the sex scene. Which I think is easier with The Sims (although you need to use your fantasy quite a bit) than with Skyrim (which I didn't play yet but I did play FallOut). Finally the sex scene itself should be hot. Which for a large part depends on the previous build-up but also requires good visuals. This is where The Sims are failing, Skyrim may well be better. But I suspect Skyrim won't have any build-up, just animations of people fucking. Which is not that erotic to me.

That depends on your definition of what a game is.

Running around in Skyrim randomly fucking NPCs never sounded appealing to me. The same way the straight up "sex simulator" type games always kind of bored me, because most of them have no real story to speak of and it's literally just about setting up a sex scene and then "interacting" with it.

have you tried Amorous Adventure? available in SL, OSex (or OSA? i dont remember) and no-sex version
