The dev hates to work on the project. He said it feels toxic to him. Well he always had "something" that held him back from actually working on the game. The money he still took every single time, but the work is the toxic part.

I can understand his reluctance. There is only one clear path forward: MC + Charlotte; exclusive. The other potential main LIs, Lucy and Emma, are practically out of the picture at this stage. It is going to take a lot to write them back in.
I'm glad it's not a harem game, cause harems are not my thing. I probably wouldn't have played it if it was. I loved the sensitive feminine females aspect of the story at first as opposed to masculinized women we are getting browbeat with these days in mainstream media, but it was taken to the extreme, slamming it against the outer wall of the box.He wrote himself into a corner in more ways than one. I haven't played this update yet, but harem game this is not. Both Emma and Charlotte are emotionally fragile and Charlotte is not going to allow the MC to romance anyone else. Her sister is already an exclusive choice - it is her or Charlotte. Emma is definitely off limits, unless she starts 'sleepwalking' like in Corrupted Love.
I got interested in the game originally because I was drawn to mature man/young adult woman stories at that time. But this VN turned out a more or less a dead end and waste of time, because I'm honest with myself that MC/Emma love here simply can't work because he made her too child-like. She has no clue about love or sex or romance, she is barely now AT 19 YEARS OF AGE starting to deal with puberty hormones!!! Sure, she was sheltered to the point of child abuse, BUT biology doesn't given an eff about that, which the dev clearly doesn't understand. In fact, she originally focused on MC as a potential father and is now being forced due to her child personality by the dev to change and grow up by force within a few weeks to see him as a sex partner in scenes that honestly rang really unbelievable.
Had she instead been written as a normal girl from the start, just without sexual experience and with increased maturity due to caring for her incredibly traumatised mother who was incapable of taking care of herself; it would've worked. Hell, she would've emotionally been older than her 19 and thus her acceptance of an older partner instead of immature boys of her age would've been much more realistic and natural.
The only thing the author can do now is to send Emma away to her designer gig to mature out of sight and then come back to MC ready. BUT then she wouldn't be the girl he cared for anymore since he wasn't there for the process and he would have to learn who she is now first; and she would've probably grown up in a way that would be incompatible with her former awakening feelings for him, especially with her being in a fashion business which is known for moral corruption, depravities, orgies, drugs, etc.
Charlotte has more hope, BUT the pacing is unbelievable. If she was as traumatised as we were led to believe, Charlotte would be having PTSD episodes and nervous breakdowns constantly from having a man in her house. she wouldn't get to the point of such trust and starting a relationship after just weeks, especially not without professional counseling. The affair with the blond model is the most realistic, but sadly also with the least success cause there is no emotional connection, only sex.
I never played Corrupted Love, can you please explain what you mean by that?

I loved the scene where the mc tickled Emma I wanted to hold and kiss her so bad.
Between this and Summer's Gone, I had a lot of hope for some of my favorite releases but reading the commentary, it's sounds like it's a big let down for both after some decently lengthy waits. (Yes Summer's Gone was a steam release but I had some hope there'd be more content or something added)
It's not even the issue of Steam, its' because of those fucking music contracts that he wasted so much time and money on! Basically, he sacrificed the game for an aspect not many people really care about.

I kind of like this little detail with Charlotte when an unknown woman comes to around.
I get the impression that Charlotte is used to getting all the attention from men (in some cases even too much) but she instinctively sees other women as a threat to her, maybe it's part of the modeling profession who knows.
And in my round Charlotte knows that MC and Lucy are together but can it still make some sense.... maybe

In Corrupted Love, the MC is dating a woman with two daughters. He's doing the daughters on the side, but the mother doesn't know. So he gets one daughter to pretend she is sleepwalking, and she walks in on them and calmly starts blowing him off, eyes shut and all. The mother can't stop it because it is bad to suddenly wake up sleepwalkers.
I think Lucy path is more advanced. Even with less interactions, at least have lewd scenes already.
TBH, dev could had finished the game a little after the mais plot ends, just needed to patch the relationships. Devs should start to have realistic goals with AVNs if they are a single dev team.

Another great game which is going to get abandoned. It's just sad. Dev just admitted he no longer enjoys making this game. That will never change no matter how much break he takes. He did say he wont abandon the game, but i think he will get tired of this and an abandonment is soon happening. Hope everything is okay in this real life, but i'm predicting this game is getting abandoned.

After reading some of the last pages of comments, I wouldn't be surprised if the dev abandons this game now. It is a game with a very good story that has excited a lot of people, people who not only come here for the porn but to have a story. But it seems that only those who were waiting to destroy it have appeared here because it wasn't another garbage game with a lot of sex and nothing to tell, or it was missing some fetish. Emma was never a li, she has always been from the beginning a sweet and innocent girl that the MC, a decent man, would never corrupt. That said, if the dev reads here he would surely have completely lost interest in continuing and all these people could go to bed satisfied

summer's gone and wiab is te biggest letdown. by the time these titles are finished our great great grandsons will be playing these games.
