VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Happenstance [v1.90] [Undertow Games]

Great stuff! Loved the soundtrack. Had my doubts about a few characters early on, but they sure grew on me! Love the story too! Grammar isn't always stellar, but it's not too big a problem. Gameplay elements might not be for everyone, but I enjoyed them! Looking forward to see where this all leads!

Im gonna give it 2 stars cause its orginal, and thats it. Its gameplay is entertaining as a game concept. As a porn game,for the irst 2 hours there is some folling around with a girlfriend taht is given to you from the start but you do nothing with her.

Eventually you meet a sex release character, and a little later you get a Dream Sex scene, that jumps every step that this 2 hours of gamplay whould have taken, to give you fanservice sex release sex. It doesnt count for me cause it doesnt affect character development, so fuck it.

Thi shit triggered me, and with my triggered state i cant forget the cringy animations, the Elise girl that looks likea zombie, the way too loud sounds and the previous 2 hours of burying my expectations to the ground below 1000 meter of Lead adn Titanium.

When i get triggered 99% and my penis 0, the game is bad.

A visual novel with some innovative ideas behind it. Props to the developer for the 're-processing' mechanic and how it is integrated into Ren'Py's scrollback feature.

As of update 1.85 the world is still being introduced with just the right amount of mystery. Hopefully the main plot reveal will come shortly as the antagonist's motives are quite unclear for now.

In a world of dime-a-dozen RenPy adult games, this one manages to avoid standing out even further by being a visual novel by a dev without any real writing ability. Even the introduction is chock full of grammatical errors.

This game is terrific. It's very interesting. The dialogues are witty. It feels very original. It's very polished. There is a lot of content. The women are sexy. The settings and scenery look real and natural. It's too early in the game for me to know for sure, but there doesn't seem to be a penalty for cheating with other women. I was hooked. It was a great time killer, to cure my depressing boredom. There is only one real problem with the game. It has countless mistakes. Millions even. It doesn't take away from the game at all, because the writer has a top notch ability in writing, is very creative, and just has an excellent writing style overall. But I just wish that I could take this nearly perfect masterpiece and make it even more perfect by fixing those mistakes. No biggie. I'm really looking forward to future updates and more games from this developer.


I hope that the story won't end and that the MC can still have lots of sex with various women even after comparing Elly to her mom. I also hope that the MC can score with Elly's mom and two sisters. Even cooler if he could score with his own mom. Or his "sister" and even her mom too. Elly is great and all. I have an attachment to her. And I even feel bad that she has been corrupted to the point where she's become an insatiable nympho. But I'm seeing all of these other women, and I like the idea of doing naughty things with them even if it shouldn't be allowed because they are an actual relative, childhood friend's mom, or my girlfriends sister/mom. I get the feeling that this game won't let the MC have sex with them, because this is more about a power struggle and the MC's relationships than it is a harem or incest harem. But one can hope.

UPDATE: You can tell from my review that I really liked this game. But half a year later, there has only been one update and it was a very small one. It's hard to stay enthusiastic and excited about a game that fades from the memory over time. This game is a gem that is better left untouched until the final product is available.

A good game with nice looking models/CGI work and a competent story, it does however drag on at times and almost gets a little unfocused on where it wants to go with the story next. There are some mini games too which happens from time to time but nothing complicated or distracting, can be turned off in the options.

While the game introduces quite a few girls throughout so is it a bit lacking in the sex department, but the sex that is here is hot. Hopefully it will ramp up with the next few updates.

I was following this game for a while - I am getting tired of it. It was always a bit confusing, yet lately it is becoming boring. Don't bother with the story cause it doesn't make lots of sense and it is not interesting or original anyways. It is basically monogamous relationship without anal. Lots of cute girls are introduced around just for teasing.
The Goods:
- lots of good looking girls
- good graphics
- interesting animations
The Bad
- lots of unnecessary complications leading nowhere
- MC getting stupider and unlikable
- sex only with one of the many girls not counting some snapshots from the past

The Ugly
- the story is getting too convoluted for the writer's limited vocabulary - it is devolving into a cringe fest of tropes and overused syfy paraphernalia.
- in the whole game there is ONE anal snapshot - no animation. It is obvious clickbait - just annoying.

Intellectualizing in porn games is ridiculous! This game started as 4 stars mostly because of its graphics -yet it became 2 stars mess.

Interesting and uncomfortable game.

Artwork is fine

Writing is OK but not outstanding (Why is everyone saying "prolly" instead of probably all the time? Some minor typos or disfigured sentences, but that is not a real problem.)

The story here seems to be the strongest and also the dominant aspects. It starts very promising, but then increasingly drifts into dystopian superhero genre, which I do not like very much (the superhero aspect, I mean). Worlbduilding is nice.


Gameplay: Very linear VN, it seems there are hardly any relevant choices.
This is unpleasant at the places where the MC behaves nasty without any motivation I could understand.

Probably one of the most intriguing games I've played on this site in terms of its overall atmosphere, user interface, and gameplay mechanics. It forces you to pay attention to the game but not in the way that makes it feel like a chore. It's a unique story which is a bit harder to find nowadays

The renders and graphics here are above average and there's more than enough depth to each character to give the game some more substance. There is also definitely more than enough sexual content (esp in the latter half) that makes the game worth playing

Very impressive game overall, I like the story mostly, the characters are pretty good especially and so is the dialogue, especially interactions with the girlfriend.
But some aspects really brought it down hard for me.
Not sure of this is a bug because I find it utterly stupid if it aint.
Im talking about the first fighting encounter where I, no matter how I act during the "mini-game" end up with the same results, seems kinda pointless to show how seemingly invincible the MC is and his harsh upbringing to be an ultimate "hunter" and adding a fighting sequence if your gonna get your ass whopped regardless of what you do.
Just a non interactive scene showing him getting beaten by the salker would have made much more sense to me.
Also besides his powers I'm yet to see any trace of this badass bloodhound the mc supposedly was.
Seems like he's more of a pup then a hound.
Have not gotten further into the story so hopefully this isn't repeated as it contradicts the entire purpose of interacting with the game.

It is perhaps the most impressive and atmospheric game among all the VNs I've ever played.

Female characters are hot as hell and very endearing. Love the MC being a suave psychopath and the story is captivating. Weird how some of these one developer porn games have better storytelling and are funnier than most Hollywood garbage these days.

Hope the game dynamics introduced are fleshed out in later versions and the BDSM aspect gets even spicier but is shaping up to be something special. Really worth supporting the developer if you can.

I enjoyed this game a lot. The ladies around the MC are brand new created for this game. Never saw them before. I give them 5 of 5 stars. The graphic is in general great, but some details can become a bit better in further updates, some background fiigures are only shadowlike rendered. The plot of the game is really nice and refreshing new. The minigames of the game are so far funny, it shouldn´t become more else it become a bit boring. I am looking forward to play more updates of this game...

What a game !

I love the atmosphere this game show.

It's dark and frightening in the lowtown and in the opposite very bright in Midtown. This antagonism is very well describe and the creator succeed to put us in the story.

The scenario is quite slow but this allows us to immerse ourselves in history.

Animations are fluids and periodic not only for scenes.

I hope for the best...

Decent writing, interesting game systems, though not very fleshed out. My biggest gripe is the very sparse lewd scenes and the developers hate towards pubic hair. The hottest scene so far was a peek of the childhood friend's cute slightly hairy cooch. The protagonist then roasts the poor girl and causes her to shave it off in the next scene. At least give the player a chance to react differently.

One of my favorite games on the website! In terms of what I like about this game the story is great and I really like all the characters. The developer really builds an interesting world this is one of the few games where I'm actually very curious about the lore and the backstory of the game world. In terms of what this game does not so great the scene animations are too fast a lot of it looks great but in fast forward. I'm also not a huge fan of the minigames but I understand why this developer uses it to create their vision. I look forward to every possible update and will support their patreon as long as I am able to.

The erotic Guitar Hero: you use the keyboard more than the mouse also graphically is not very good, but in history it is very clear as long as you can put up with the shit of playing at times with a keyboard.

The writing and plot in general are pretty good, it is very different in respect to other VN’s. However, Dialogue gets kinda repetitive and a little too profound but is still respectably good. The renders started of pretty meh but have definitely improved since then. The game also uses QTE’s as one of its gameplay mechanics which I do not have a problem with. I love this dystopian future type of setting which is always welcome in adult games imo.

One of the best stories out there in my opinion. It's genuinely interesting and everything is done really well here. Overall, this is a really nice change of pace compared to most of the other games on here that are simply "mindless sex" games with no real substance beyond that. The choices feel like they matter and the main character isn't a "Mary Sue" who has no flaws.
