Big mental health crash. Have been feeling exceedingly tired all day every day, reducing me to a non-productive/functional human being. Writing is very difficult but it is really the only thing that actually needs to get done. I am alive, but have nothing to show. Appointment was not conclusive of anything, but meds are being adjusted. It's very difficult but I will probably end up figuring out some way to tough things out eventually.

Dang. Maybe look into whether you might have sleep apnea. That's been murder on me, and unfortunately I have other issues preventing me from using a CPAP machine, but people who were able to use one tell me it's been life-changing. Apparently 1 in 8 Americans have sleep apnea, but only 1 in 5 of those are diagnosed.

Seems like something I would have already had rather than a newly developed thing, but who knows.

Also, obligatory "Have you tried drinking more water?" It may be a meme, but it's the health equivalent of "Are you sure your computer is plugged in?"

I have been better about this in the past, but I don't really think this is it regardless.

"Safe" isn't really a concern, don't worry about that. Physical health wise, currently the only thing I know of that is wrong with me is high blood pressure, which is probably stress? I have major concerns hanging over my head constantly about the amount of money I'm making from the game being... Incorrect when compared to the quality of what I am producing and how much effort is going in. Very troubling to try and think of what I can/should do to correct that, but it feels difficult to figure out an answer there when I'm not living up to my own (admittedly rather harsh on myself) standard in the first place. That's a whole negative spiral but uhhh... I'm working on it?

NSFW game design can be lonely as hell and a drain on your mental faculties. Make sure to find people that can support you IRL. Money issues are always going to be a pain in the ass though, Patreon is always a uphill slog.

The game is mechanically sound and polished. I think the lack of mass appeal (assuming that's what correlates with patreon/subscribestar income long term) is mainly due to:

• lack of draw for new players due to
  • steep learning curve
  • lack of transparency of content due to the unfamiliar format (i.e. what do I need to do to get porn from it?)
  • inaccessibility of porn content (quite a bit of grinding and engaging with the mechanics to see content)
  • mild marketing images (they show the gameplay of top-down dungeon, but not too many sex scenes)
• mildness of content in general
  • There's not really any traditional F/M content
  • light-hearted theme
• artstyle?

For me, having played it some time ago, I don't want to go back because I remember how much of a grind it is. The time spent to fappable content ratio is too high.

Honestly not sure if the current game can be reworked to have more mass appeal if you care about the income. I think the game mechanics design fundamentally is not engaging enough for a porn game. Perhaps work on a second project?

Unfortunately, the game still crashes when

1. The knights find the shrine
2. Trying to open the skill menu
3. Trying to invite a knight into the tent

I'm convinced the issue at this point is the tutorial failing to show up from a new file. Because the game refuses to bring up the tutorial even when tutorial mode is on for every floor, the game will still crash. I cannot get past floor 5 no matter what at this point from re-downloading it and deleting the entire data because the issue is in the code itself the developer has to fix.

Be on the look out for a bugfix mod that will come out probably some time today. There are data issues that are easy to patch without needing to redownload, I just have to write up the fixes. Edit: it is up.

As far as the cuck part, that would be all of the posters in dead game threads who have a 'cucked' mentality, deflecting all criticism while still donating to the creator of the now abandoned game. Most of this in me reading into 'watched for ... update' and 'cuck'.
Honestly this would be a disservice to even cucks as they at least get sexual pleasure from what they are doing compared to the stockholm syndrome sycophants simping for a dev who is likely long gone.

You gotta remember, judging yourself is an inherently unfair ordeal; nobody knows where to stick the knife in you quite as well as you do. Try to be cognizant of that when you decide to "take the fight" so to speak.

It depends on what you consider to be cuckoldry. Even when the game was first posted, I'm sure you saw that monsters got pretty rapey with the girls, so if you didn't already consider that "going the way of the cuck" to begin with, you probably won't have a problem with its current state. Some of the monsters do get a little *more* rapey than they were before, as there are actual "sex fight" mechanics now. I don't think there are any "male" monsters that have sex mechanics, though, just monster girls and genderless stuff like slimes. (The only explicitly male monster I can think of is the femboy maid, and his whole shtick is that he's too cute and nobody takes him seriously.)

There are also a decent number of scenes where the girls have sex with each other. However, in spite of everything, there is nothing in the game at the moment that makes the girls become "less yours". Insofar as cuckoldry games tend to focus on the feeling of losing the main girls, this game doesn't have that tone, and you can continue romancing and/or bringing the girls more under your control in spite of all the shenanigans going on in the dungeon. They're still your little minions to do with as you please, and dealing with sex monsters is just part of the job.



Anyway, I've got some stuff going on and might not get to try out the new update for a week or so. Seems like there's not a ton of content to rush for anyway. I would like to know what the new monster and trap are, though, since I won't be able to check myself.

This is the case, although I don't really think that there should be an expectation that this will always be the case. Or rather, I don't have any problem with there being male monsters in the future, but I do know that people are weirdly sensitive about that for whatever reasons which would be kinda restricting to stick to forever.

Anyway, I've got some stuff going on and might not get to try out the new update for a week or so. Seems like there's not a ton of content to rush for anyway. I would like to know what the new monster and trap are, though, since I won't be able to check myself.

One-off things, really. Not big enough to warrant a big hurry to check out. This update was more about "I have all of these mechanical changes/fixes and I want to put them out rather than hold them forever since I've been struggling for most of the month".
I did also accidentally leave in the ability to trigger the upcoming Witch scenes, but all of them only show placeholder dialogue, so it isn't really a thing

I'm not the only one with this issue in this thread. Sense I deleted all my save data as one of the ways to fix this issue and it didn't, I always have to start from the beginning. I don't skip the tutorial so I can make sure that the flag triggers. I go through the camp and either research or hang out with the knights to increase their support.

The shrine tutorial does not show up if a knight lands on the space before I can scry it and that crashes the game. If the issue is that I have not triggered an event beforehand to where the code doesn't work until you complete a certain requirement then that would explain why I can't invite the knights into the tent because I can't do anything until the witch gives you the power to manipulate them. The skills stopped working when I tried to reboot it and I'm not getting the tutorial explaining how to use the scrolls and memorizing them.

Start a new game (try from scratch and not NG+ because I can't NG+ anymore because of the shrine). Don't skip over any tutorials. Get to floor 5 and if the knight finds the shrine before you, the game will crash. I've been saying this for the past few updates

I'm... Really not good at this game.
Its a brilliant game. But its akin to Dwarf Fortress to me, in a way. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong because I'm just not smart enough to figure out all these status effects or the UI.

I wish I had a gallery save for all the cards and lewd events because I'm struggling to even find any beyond the scry on the girls bathing.
