if you want a fap fest, skip Tlaero's / mortze's games. If you want a brilliant story backed up with great graphics. Just start playing. But to be fair, if you never played any of the previous games, i would first start with those. Dreaming with Elza and Redemptionm for Jessika
Humm.... i see

They made it public xD because it's everywhere now.

The vast majority of you are wonderful people. I am humbled by your loyalty and support.

A few of you, however, are scum.

Multiple people have uploaded Finding Miranda to file sharing sites. There's a serious amount of disrespect there, but there's also quite a bit of greed. Because I haven't made the game publicly available, these people are able to use it to drive traffic to their illicit sites.

I'm losing sleep over this. I am so heartened by the bulk of you who supported me for 11 months expecting no reward other than my thanks and a chance to play the game early. I don't want to take anything away from you, the good people, but I have to try to remove the crooks' profit opportunity.

So, I'm going to release the game to the public earlier than I said. Right now, in fact.

If you're ever on a forum where someone has uploaded it somewhere other than that link, please point people to the official one. It's where I'll upload any necessary bug fixes. It's where I'll add alternate languages. And it won't make these scumbags a dime. (Note that Leo has my permission and blessing to put it on PlayForceOne. He's legit.)

I'm sorry that I'm diminishing the value of the reward I gave to the $5 patrons. I'll try to find a way to make it up to you.

Tlaero
If they are reading this. Dear Tlaero your games are somewhat better than most of the patreon games out there, I understand how you feel at this moment, but don't forget that it's the right of your patreons to share their copy with whoever they want. In patreon you don't sell games, you just reward something for your patreons when your works are being supported. Even though morally it may appear as wrong, still it's their right. There is no piracy with these patreon games, because none of these games are for selling, they are just REWARDS. so in the next time, instead of focusing on cursing ,blaming people when your games are being shared, why don't you try to improve the quality of your games? why don't you try to release games faster than the current rate? I have been waiting for Pandora 2 for ages. I even supported your patreon hoping it would help you to release the game more faster, but no you take so much of time to release a small game, it doesn't take more than a year to release a small game. So start focusing on improving the quality of your games, try to release games a bit more faster, then you can get more supporters to your cause. I don't mean to offend you, but you have to know how this world works, blaming, whining and playing the victim doesn't take you anywhere, in fact it just makes you feel more hurt. So try to focus more on your games, then you can earn more than you are earning now.

Although comparing this to others games by them would be wrong, but I can't help myself and end up doing the wrong thing. I found this one weak as compared to the their other games.
No, no. Its not cause of the 'hype'. But I guess its cause the replay factor was, for the lack of a better word, forced, at least in this one.

Dreaming with Elsa didn't have any other 'ending', was a straight shoot.
Redemption of Jessika had two 'ending', the replay factor gave you a completely different story arc depending on the choices.

In this one however, the replay gives me about 70% of the same story, 3-4 other dates that I could've gone for and 2-3 other climaxes in the casino.

I don't mind if the game doesn't give me a 'choice', actually its better that way cause I find that the narrative can be more tied up without any loose ends, like in Dreaming with Elsa.

I don't mind if the game gives me 'some' choice, but that choice actually matters and changes the narrative completely, like in Redemption of Jessika.

What I don't like is the, for the lack of a better word, illusion of choice that in the end makes hardly any 'impact' on the narrative, and just gives me different scenarios of the SAME narrative, whether I go for a picnic or a race, still is the same thing, its a date, for example in Finding Miranda.

I hardly write stuff about these games, cause NONE of them have made me give a damn about the protagonist and/or other characters of the game. I find it bloody amazing that Tlaero & Mortze have been able to make such great games that are not fap-fest, but erotica, and I, for my own selfish reasons, want them to continue on and push the envelope EVEN further.

Tlaero and Mortze, IF you're reading this, you guys are awesome and your work rocks! You tried something new, didn't hit with this fan, but I'm sure your next one will knock my socks off. Keep at it, till then I'll pull my socks up, getting myself ready for the next adventure in your narratives.

Honestly i don't really like there games as much as everyone else seems to, they seem to have this feminist-ish tone to them, the points system is restrictive, and i seem to lose interest/focus in the story about half way through.

I believe the developer is trying to write stories that are more female player inclusive, to give a strong female point of view even though the main-character may be male, and to balance the fact that most story/games are released with a male player in mind.

Some may see that as feminist-ish but maybe it's just less male orientated-ist. (I could not find the male related word I was looking for and did not want to use either Masculism or Misogyny)

Allot of the dialogue felt like it was written by a woman or a gay dude, some turbo cringy shit like it was done on purpose. Which is weird considering women don't play these sort of games, reckon 99% of the dudes patron goys are men

It is written by a woman. And many of her patrons are women, too. She even made the program she uses to put the game together.

I don't know why this game took 11 months to do. Or why their other game is taking forever. Seems like they are getting more money than they might be deserving on that front.
Vdategames comes out with games at a steady 6 month clip per artist with similar or more complexity.

You are correct. I saw she has stated one of the reasons why she got into the game development was the fact the games make it looks okay to the player to have sex with the drunken girls (or something similar, I don't exactly remember)
I am sure there must be other reasons too. I think it's difficult to come up with a better storyline when the person is restricted to certain kind of ideologies. the person should be more open minded in order to have a better storyline. I guess that's why I didn't like any game in patreon except pandora. pandora game looks more natural, and even has a better, realistic flow.

If i am correct, she does not actually write Pandora, it's done by the artist 'Mortze' which explains the shift in tone.

If I recall my history, tlaero started writing on Shark's Lagoon in reaction to vdategames' productions.

Vdategames is barely above MeetNFuck's level. The graphical quality isn't complete garbage and they're ok if you want frustrated faps because you failed to intuit the results of, say, buying one arbitrary item over another to gift to your date, but otherwise the story and development are usually awful. At this point I just jump straight to the gallery for vdategames productions.

I don't particularly care for getting politics rammed down my throat and am usually very annoyed by author soapboxes, but I haven't gotten this impression from most of tlaero's games. They're usually set in a more down-to-earth scenario too, so the main character can't really wave his dick about to summon 10s hungry for his cock.

Most VDG have actual replay value with actual branching paths. And certain games the date gifts actually do different things. Like you must not keep up with VDG stuff or something because they have drastically increased their quality of games in the past two years or so. While I have not seen anything like that from MNF games. Like it is laughable to compare the two.

You can sit here and be hyperbolic and unfairly denigrate VDG stuff, but at least it actually has real replay value and branching stories.

You should post your impressions on Shark's Lagoon. Tlaero and Mortze will surely read your post and probably answer to some of your points.

I agree with most things you've said.

Tlaero (and Mortze) is great, these games are the best. Original and refreshing.

Any walkthrough for 100% completion would be greatly appreciated too if anyone has the time.

I'm fairly sure that's just not true anywhere (except maybe China).
They hold copyright on their IP and they can dictate the terms of its release.
