there are multiple nsfw games on patreon that consist of this theme ,like carnal instinct, wild life, cloud meadow and breeders of the nephelym. I fail to understand why this particular game will face problems while many others thrive.
The "official" trick, suggested BY Patreon for some reason, is to paywall 100% of anything that looks or sounds remotely rule-breaking.
The running theory is that Patreon itself doesn't care about much, but they're trying to keep PayPal and any other payment processors from knowing, because they're VERY strict about NSFW content.
Of course if anyone reports the account, it's irrelevant, but other than that, they don't care too much.

I think I've mentioned it once or twice, but I'm VERY surprised FarmD has ever survived longer than like a month on Patreon, since feral-type content is about #3-5 on their top ten list of things that get people banned.

The short answers get me the funni reaction points but some elaboration wouldn't hurt either.

Every NSFW Patreon page goes through an approval process before it even goes live, where some staff member verifies that what you're proposing is within their guidelines. I did this when I launched my page 3 years ago and was clear in the description then about the game's content, and anyone doing their due diligence would check out the galleries I have with screenshots/videos of gameplay. It was approved then, and I've never had any other contact from them about needing to change my content, or that it had been reported/audited in any way as inappropriate for the platform. Not to say that I'm totally in the clear, if it is all up to staff discretion and someone else takes issue with it later on.

FarmD is categorically *not* a bestiality game, and never has been. The reason bestiality is legally and morally wrong is because animals are not sentient and cannot give informed consent. This game is about intelligent, adult, consenting characters doing the fuck and some of them happen to have four legs instead of two. They are not portrayed as animals. With the early state of the partner AI it may be hard to tell, but the upcoming personality updates and dialogue system will help make that clearer.

My personal reasons for avoiding both "realistic" feral species and humans are twofold: one because I don't care much for either aesthetically - fantasy ferals like dragons and gryphons just have more interesting designs, and there are about a million billion other porn games with humans already. I decided to make this game in the first place because I couldn't find anything else like it. And two, because there are plenty of people (see: this thread) who can't or won't distinguish between "four-legged person" and "literal animal", and steering well clear of that will help avoid some pitchforks from the nuance-challenged and make my life easier.

All points made in this post would be abundantly clear if people decided to do any amount of research into the game whatsoever. Softscale has already made these points several times before in discord, on twitter and etc. Plus, there is a Trello board which describes everything that is planned to be added to the game.

i dont know about the others, but all of the characters in Wild Life that you can have sex with are anthropomorphic, so they're basically skating by on a technicality at worst, or are just barely within what is considered acceptable by patreon. if the others have actual bestiality in their game then they're gambling on not getting caught out, because its against patreon TOS.

Animals ARE sentient and can give consent, though anyone that fucks an IRL animal needs to be thrown in a lion cage at a zoo. "You just know" is a stereotype for a reason, and there's even a new trend to try to justify bestiality because "if he/she didn't want it, he/she could always fight back / resist". Ugh.

"Legally" FarmD is a "bestiality game", the Harkness Test isn't in PayPal's vocabulary. To them, the game's ferals are literally animals, and no amount of "happy groaning" or "pleased bellows" would change their mind.

Bro, I mean, people have gotten in trouble for "bestiality" over werewolf TF, there was even a time for a while when some regular-ass furry artists got... I wanna say they got temporarily banned, or got a stern talking-to from Patreon, I forget, under the bestiality umbrella. Feral artists too, of course. My own content got the spooky Patreon email, and I only do PG-13 stuff, and none of my characters are feral at all, they're just generic furries.
I don't mean to sound like a rude dude, but you're lucky you haven't been caught yet. I'm still pretty sure Patreon itself doesn't care that much, but PayPal most definitely does, as the Patreon crackdowns usually align with PayPal crackdowns and PayPal itself gets really fussy if they find out people are paying for regular-ass porn, let alone anthro-on-feral.

It is super weird (and kinda annoying) that they're inconsistent about stuff, like this, transformation, and bimbos, I wish they'd be all-in or hands-off, it always feels like there's some kind of Russian Roulette dice roll that decides when Patreon cracks down on things and how much they shut down.
I dunno, Patreon's rules themselves are full of gray areas and vague who-knows-whats, like how the rules about porn and sex basically repeat a million times that it's only supposed to be human-on-human specifically, but doesn't mention anything about furries or ferals (though obviously bestiality is on the list of no-nos.)

Again, I'm not going "dang, why is this game still up????", I'm more going "huh, kinda weird this hasn't been taken down yet."
Same as , heh.

Kinda reminds me of how Breeders of the Nephelym got away with rape by calling it "surprise sex" and that worked somehow, heh.

Dunno much about this game's development plans, but now that they have anthro partners, is feral player in the books?

for now it's planned for v1.9.x, but may be delayed down the line. so make sure to check the roadmap for most up-to-date info

Appreciate it, I'll start keeping an eye on it then. Awesome of you to provide a link to the trello as well, very helpful!

The black screen vr errors for 1.6.2hotfix have already been mentioned, but I will say something I stumbled on: when I blindly/accidentally used "rotate view" with my left hand, it fixed the black screen temporarily.

Because the meme of reporting furry content to Paypal to get them shut down for lulz isn't as funny when literal neo-Nazis are showing up in full uniform and getting conventions shut down.

Paypal has never been inconsistent. Their founder publicly admitted he wanted to use the platform to shut down adult/pornographic material as a personal mission from the very beginning.

PayPal itself isn't inconsistent, I mean their enforcing of the rules. Like you'd have a 6-month drought of no major news of anyone important getting banned, then suddenly you'd have PayPal breathing down the necks of a bunch of companies, strangling them into enforcing the rules and a bazillion content creators all simultaneously go "fuck this, I'm going to [other website]" in response, then things calm down again and everything goes back to normal for 6-12 months again and then the cycle repeats.

The whole basis of this discussion is that Paypal is breaking down the necks of Patreon and Patreon telling people to put everything behind passwords and shut up or they'll ban them.

Sounds like Paypal is enforcing their rules pretty consistently.
