Really a phenomenal beginning. This is the first time I've ever had any interest in the franchise.

AI criticisms are unwarranted. When I played, I failed to notice any discrepancies in character visuals. There might have been some, as one reviewer claims, in nose shapes and some such but I certainly don't look that closely. You're not supposed to put your eyes that close to the display, anyways.
It also disregards the economics of the situation. Put simply, the great majority of the very many porn games put out there earn nothing and are pure passions projects. If you wanted a necessary investment of not just time but also money, lots would never be made. There neither are artists lining up to draw porn. As it stands, if developers want visuals, they have to teach themselves how to draw, how to source them (from real porn, probably infringing on copyright) or how to use an engine (Ren'py, Unity etc.). The wider and more timely access seems a positive, not a negative.

I'm also no fan of the blathering about the soul to be seen in artist's work. I concur with Spengler and am of the opinion that the arts have ceased to have any meaning hundreds of years ago. They are no longer cultural expressions. You can sit in your ivory tower and pretend Guernica mattered, but it did not.

Tried it. Really good concept but I wish you guys could get an artist instead of relying on AI. Maybe you could try opening a funding page to get the funds for it. Some animations would be neat too, even if they are just gif images. The problem with AI is the lack of consistency and also the issue with hands and feet. I know it offers an advantage in speeding up development and it possibly being free or cheaper than an artist, but the art also lacks the soul that human drawn art has. There's also the fact that animations are probably impossible with AI art. Gif images would probably be easy to implement but it requires an hired artist.

This has a lot more potential than most. Dune already has borderline smut in it and a lot of lewd undertones Good writing. Really looking forward to seeing how you deal with the issues that come with AI art, and how you adapt and change the source material.

Decent writing but the inconsistencies in the AI generated art are more distracting than titillating. I would honestly prefer an erotic novel with no art and let my imagination do the work than think "oh her belt was brown and now it's blue, wait why did her bangs change, why do her nose and lips change thickness between every scene?" every time there's a new picture.

I'm sure art like this has its fans and defenders, but using it particularly for a Dune fantasy story is going to ruffle some (ornithopter) feathers, and it just doesn't work for me.

I loved Behind the Dune and played through it several times to see all the content, so when I saw the title and description for this game I was instantly on board.

If you have played BtD, then you should find an immediate familiarity with certain aspects of the gameplay such as having a character follow you to different locations in order to progress the story. The navigation may not be as immersive as BtD, without the charming illustrated environments and animations for each location in the flash game, but it gets the job done quick and easy.

Mechanically, the dialogue reminded me of Morrowind, where-in you can unlock new topics through conversation which then allows other characters to discuss them from their own perspective. I really enjoyed this aspect of the game and appreciated the effort and time that was put into something that is, ultimately, not a *necessary* feature. It made the game, world, and characters all feel fuller and more fleshed out in the end, and it helps to elevate the project to a higher level of quality.

The AI-generated art with some human touch looks great, though you can tell that an AI is involved. Jessica, for example, has a neck-band in most of her images that looks slightly different in each. Such minor inconsistencies aren't worth complaining about, however, as the rest of their appearance (in my opinion) is quite good to look at.

The games current and planned tags and what I've read from the devs' comments in the game thread have made it clear that most of my taste and preferences align with their own, so I'm already feeling confident that this project will end up heading in the direction I had hoped it would from first glance.

Overall, this is a very promising start! I haven't been this excited by the potential of a new project for some time.

Good start, I love the Dune universe and so far I like how the story started, I hope the updates would be faster since is a text based game mostly. Dev please focus on a main story and avoid the trap of many branches and variables, that could make the updates slower and create weird bugs .

This works crazy well. Surprisingly so. All the characters seem true to the original story. It evokes the same sense of wonder, just in a really degenerate way. The writing is good, and the images are really good as far as AI generated images go. Super excited to see where this goes.

Keep up the updates and everyone will be all over this like its Spice
Only thing I may suggest is IMO is that I like color coordinated speaker text.
But its your design choice in the end. Not sure if Artwork is AI based but its good overall. I suggest using AI to even go beyond it if you want to explore that option as well. Any way I don't do ratings but Im having a bad day so I figured fuck it let me just do it this one time, gg.

It's often difficult to do an AVN parody of something and not betray the style of the original, but this somehow manages to work well. It's very clearly from the mind of someone who understands the world of Dune, yet is imaginative enough to make it work as piece of erotic content. The writing is excellent and the artwork is hot. If this thing continues on and we get more content I can see this one growing into a favourite.

pretty good start, specially if you are fan of the books. it's clearly inspired by another game about dune

for a html game this one doesn't look like the typical, it has actual specific css for it, making navigation far more enjoyable

the ai art is really good too imo
