Am I right in thinking this update is still at least a couple of weeks away? Realistically going on current time per update, this could possibly be the last update this year. Honestly, saying that in August is absolutely insane.

Depends. If gumdrop is as lazy as his posts seem to indicate, then yes, an update will be weeks away. (What the frak did he need the new hardware for, considering a 4 year old would be faster than him with all the good stuff he bought)
On the other hand, if gumdrop is the lying ... I believe him to be, then the update is already finished and he held it back to see how long he can milk the audience without patrons going angry. If that is the case, we´ll see an estimated update on weekend with gumdrop pulling another assinine post out where the sun does not shine why he is king and suddenly was able to speed up.
If what araboobs a few posts back wrote is correct and his support is finally dropping, then I am sure it will the initiative he needs badly. Personally I think gumdrop now has to be careful, he massively overstretched any goodwill he had in most of the fanbase, patron and pirate alike. Now he must deliver soon or his patron base can implode. Trust lost is very difficult to regain and gumdrop in the last months excelled at finding ways how to torpedo it.

I hate to break it to you but his numbers dropping are most probably only due to Patreon dropping a bollock today and not because of any sway in his supporters faith. Can't remember exactly what happened but Patreon did something that caused a lot of patrons payments to appear fraudulent, meaning banks cancelled the payments in question. It's happening to everyone on Patreon. Aren't they a clever bunch over there

As for the update, I'm of the same mind. Next we'll get a long winded post about "nearing the finishing posts" or "heading into the final stretch" as the last lot of scenes are starting to render. Then I wouldn't be surprised to see a post the following week "detailing" a hold up of some kind followed by the testing phase. Meanwhile August is slowly but surely ticking on by...and it's September. As for his new rendering equipment, I remember watching his discussions about buying new equipment... in December last year. I don't know exactly when but at some point since he has bought this equipment, but I am yet to see any actual evidence of it yet. Actually, perhaps I have. Those higher tier exclusive pinups have to have come from somewhere after all.

As I've said previously, Part X could come out and blow us all away. It may completely justify the wait but blow me does Kyle leave himself open to criticism with his general attitude, and the way he has handled certain things.

Well, as far as this bug at Patreon goes, we´ll see how much was truly dropping support and how much wrong sent payments.
But my main argument still stands. Gumdrop is using up his goodwill at astonishing speed, quite in contrast to his working speed. I too remember well his posts in December. He bought some top-of-the-line PC stuff and went on how fast he now could work. 8 months later you see nothing of that, instead he became slower!
He can be glad that he has no shop or bureau, because rightly pissed off boys and girls would be there all the time. A normal firm could nver do such shenigans without a serious backblow. And my warning for gumdrop is meant as such. He erodes any trust he had with his behaviour. That can still be a stable situation for a time, but you cannot evade fate endlessly.
I saw that with a competitor of the firm I work in. We were baffled how they functioned so well, knowing what we did about their situation and customer services.
It went on longer than most people would have bet, but then within a few days they fell down like a house of cards. Lost trust and goodwill were not the main reasons, but a big part of it.
Gumdrop seems to underestimate this loss outside of his cheerleaders group. If gumdrop has the nose for nilking we give him, then he should recognise that it would be better in the long run if he updated sooner than later. Because he is coutrting the sudden death of his dairy farm, with all the lies, hyperbole and lacking progress, when even people with less great PCs churn out quality updates far faster. One day even the die-hards will have lost any trust, he is lucky he has patrons like he has, but they too will get fed up with this "specialist".

I'll be honest. Abby S*****o was the main reason I stopped paying any attention to Gumdrops Discord channel. At the slightest hint of a negative view from someone she/he (no clue sorry) would swoop in and either straight up personally attack that person or rage so hard I'm surprised there wasn't nerve damage incurred. Criticism, even if constructive is barely allowed a look in. Am I right in thinking this update is still at least a couple of weeks away? That schmuck is the sole perpetrator why pin ups are exclusive to 20 CE patrons. Kyle and I had an elaborate conversation of the objective and flaws of the game where I convinced him to create pin up renders as a compensation for his incompetence and Abby butts in it should only be available to 20 pledgers. Every CE patrons tuning in our conversation spammed the channel in support of Abby; the rest where clamoring to support my petition but Kyle, our dear dairy farmer is exploiting the trend Abby started.

I haven't been in touch with Kyle for a long time now, I do wish he fulfills the rest of my petition:

• Less dutch angles
  
• less environment scenes
  
• less psychopathic-schizophrenic skeleton apparitions
  
• more CE content and better puzzles.

I'm quite close in sealing a deal of handing him a thousand bucks just to see if there's an improvement. Quite close, given his four-month development time in Chapter 10, I dodged a thousand dollar bullet.

Ok, so let's break this down. The last slow segment: S_Sun should be "nearly complete" by this weekend. That means it probably won't be finished until mid-week, or the next weekend. Worst case scenario, that puts us at Gumdrop starting the "fast" segments by the 20th of July. So from the 20th... he should be close to completing 2 "fast" segments by the 27th of July. Let's say for simplicity sake that he's finished 2 "fast" segments by the end of July... that still leaves 8 fast segments at the start of August. We don't know how big these "fast" segments are, but if it takes him 1 week to completed "almost two"... then needless to say, this update could very well come out Mid-Late August.

Pretty much yeah. On Gumdrops Discord I have seen her and others who share her views actively shut down any criticism of the game or the developer. To the point of openly mocking and insulting people for the games they play over Discord, seemingly to discredit their arguments. Not great for a legitimate critical discussion as you can imagine. Always just turns into a slagging match. Tbf to Kyle (Gumdrop) he does his best to cut through some of the bullshit and still answers some criticism. Fat lot of good it has done in the long run though.

As frustrating as it is waiting for an undate, I'm not a paying customer. I'll wait and try other games, maybe I'll get bored and give up waiting. I've definitely found others that I like more ( love & submission, milf city, time stamp, etc...) But if I was a paying customer I'd be pissed and pull my funding.
