The main writer, Palmer, passed away before the last few episodes of Double Homework were released. His "team" decided to take over the rest of the work to finish the story. They did a heck of a job at it too. Their work has been great.
But, they then placed those last few episodes behind a paywall. This was several years ago already, as this game is one of the first I played and got me hooked on redheads in games.
The team continued on and has made new stories, but continue to paywall those games after the first several episodes as well.

Only Shale Hill Secrets and Streaming for Love. and the 2 epilogues they made way after, SHS is up to episode 10, all the rest of the games are free to play online or download, and they lost the code for offline versions to put them out so the easiest was just to put this online as a web version.
Now you can download all episodes of DFD as well for free now.
No, you can play them all online for free, they lost the code for offline builds, that's why the last few are online only. The only ones behind a paywall are the ones they made on their own are the Epilogues.

Ah damn that's tragic.. Does anyone know why he passed on? Sorry for being a bit too curious. I'll try this game too soon and maybe I can learn something from his writing.

for security seasons aka their game (code) doesn't get tampered.
still matter and will matter for next gen too.
orig. dev of this and dfd (daughter for dessert) died earlish stages of this. this is done and love-joint's devs have moved on.
never had official offline versions only cracked, dfd has official offliners. they lost dfds patreon versions which had voice acting from start to end.
yes official online version was posted. epilogues won't be released for free.

Evidently at this point they won't. It's more they were supposed to be.
To my knowledge it was palmers wishes for his content to be free after some time. But the epilogues are exceptions it seems. (and it was said at one point they would be released but well we can see that they weren't).
There was a whole thing in this thread about it. (assuming the convo wasn't deleted you should be able to find it, can search my username since I made a few comments at the time).

well devs have stated that epis stay patrons only (steam could snort few beans into it's nose and want some changes on girls so no steam release) and as i have said not missing much prolly.
This seem so random after all of these years of wait.
I'm still a bit angry that they don't respect the wish of the dead dev to release all the chapter like the 18th first one but it seem so long ago now....
I don't understand why you're doing it now but thanks anyways, if i've my save i will at least be able to finish the story. It's been a while, not sure worth the wait since the hype is gone after all this wait...
Maan this is still going. I remember stopping at ep11-12 but that was a looonf time ago lol. Maybe, I'll come back to this one day Idk. Anyways, I had such a good time on this one that it deserve this comment lol sry can't afford more.

Replaying this great game since it popped up again. But I am reminded about how infuriating Episode 15 was. It is a good example of poor writing in order to create conflict.
Anyway, rant off. It was a brief period in that chapter, but not at all fun to go through.

I'm assuming this is another fakecest VN game like DFD. Am I right? I wish to know before I download it. If someone could tell me please id very much appreciate it.
For anyone wondering how to get the game work with full screen on displays higher than 1080p
1. Open the game in windowed mode and set the resolution of the game to 1080p
2. Download and install
3. Run magpie
4. Create a new profile and choose the game (or just chooes the default profile if this is the only game you need it for)
5. in your newly made (or default) profile, set capture method to "graphics capture"
6. go back to your game and press win+shift+a
7. your game should now be working at full screen on your higher resolution screen. Enjoy! (I have mine working on 1440p)
NOTE: You can try out different scaling modes and capture methods to see what works the best for you. In the screenshot i left the scaling mode to FSR (which is the default). I did not experiment too much to see which one looks better, I only got it to work.

not going and hasn't been for past 3 years. this was just last update for un-official offline version.
no, there is tease of ntr but she later explains what happened.
dfd wasn't fakecest but anyways you can set relationships on start to be what you want, are mc and redheads siblings or not isn't that clear (devs didn't state 1 way or other) since this was made after patreon banned incest but works as incest and non-incest.
