Ren'Py - Abandoned - Divine Adventure [v1.4] [Masquerade]

The game is really good. Really loved the art. The one thing which can make this game a top tier is animation. IF the scenes were animated, it'd have been many times better. But it's still good. Would really love to see more scenes with vados.

Exquisite style + beautiful story = excellent game. Interaction with Vados in the game is truly addictive. The story of Android 18's gradual decline is also great. But the game is still full of errors, the buttons for interacting in some scenes are not obvious, and some dialog options are not clear. Hope that future updates will be more exciting!

One of the only games I actually download every update on this website. Not only because its dragon ball, but the character designs are pretty decent. Although the story is kinda basic, it does a good job of making you feel like a god and makes you quite overpowered which makes it unique, I enjoy being able to be so powerful and not take shit from anyone, that's why its one of the only games I religiously download every update.

Okay an 31-07-2021 update on my review. I'm changing the rating from 2/5 to 1/5.

Despite my love for Dragon Ball, I reached the point of full on apathy towards this game, and will probably not touch for another year or two, if ever.

In short:

Sleep mechanics that are ment to artificially make game look bigger than it is by wasting your time are still there.

Plootholes the size of "I can suddenly make clones of myself and make them act evil while also telling them to go easy on past me, just to get killed by them multiple times," are still there and growing larger with every "I can litterally create and destroy worlds but still need some sort of tech to communicate with fuckups that can't reach into space but still managed to kill off their worlds"

Bugs that default any fight into fighting said clone and potentially waising an hour of your time on replaying "baby god sleep simulator" again.

Inflation fetish suddenly entered the chat, and you cant do anything about it.

Also, any teases about having a harem of sex slaves that you get to collect at the start of the game is just bait. Even when it comes to Videl, she is now "willing" for some reason.

I have very little hope that Dev will change this game for the better at this point.

Semi-decent art, altrough the style takes away most of the charm of female dragon ball characters.
Interface is just bad. For many times you have to go to sleep to progress the story, there should be a shortuct instead of constamt point and click adventure.
Story is subpar at best and choices that you make can't really influence the outcome.
Also, mechanics are full of wasted potential. For example: you know for a fact that there is a village full of slaves on the other side of your personal planet, and... you never use it.
Not to test the girls there, not to put some female villain there for futher use. Aside from storing one particular girl that can only be accesed by a "summon" power, that doesn't even work half the time despite all the patches, its useless.
We could have stored some bandit girls like Launch or Zangia there, to have fun with them later.
It would have also served as an excuse for us to grind, to not just defeat, but capture Towa and some other female enemies in the future.
But no, lets just have a stupid OC creation that can only decides breast size, and make an outfit economy that will later be made useles thanks to certain powerup.

Boring. This game is boring. It's grindy and the sex scenes are completely unrewarding.
The art is good, but if a sex scene is one picture and a few lines of not at all erotic text, what can good art save? Not really much.

The game has basically the same problems Masquerades' previous game "Fairy Tale Adventure" had.

You play and play and there's a story and you have characters that you would really love to fuck the shit out of, but when it happens, you are just like:"That was it? That was all?"

The artwork, music (its pretty much DB Super OST) and overall story are actually good, however the actual play of the game is really boring, the first act feels like a massive linear game introduction, even skipping every talking, it will take a decent amount of time just to get to act 2. You eventually get some freedom once you get to act 2, but by that time was so bored with the game that i didnt even bothered advancing too much. The training as far as i can tell is pretty much useless after training the first couple of times, not only that but the method in wich you train is trash, those type of mini puzzles should be banned. I didnt hate the game, it has really good potential to become a good game, if some changes are made to the overall gameplay and lenghty linear first act. FOr now its just feels like a really boring linear game.

Didn't watch DragonBallZ growing up, don't get the show and not a fan. But this game introduced me to the female cast in that anime and wow did it flatter the anime. The art is great, however scarce, and the story is funny at times. I feel given more time, this game can get to a 5 star with adding slight variations to scenes like animating the eyes and mouth perhaps.

For the beginning, I'm a big Dragon Ball fan and I grew up with the series. It's a big part in my life and it made me happy that I saw a porn parody of this.

The pros:

- the original female characters in the series are incredibly hot, but in this game ... just no.
- The puzzle game at the beginning took me way too long and was just boring.
- if this is supposed to be a parody of dragonball, I can only say: bad work.

So far the game has a good story and it makes your keep going and playing and read the stories as well as the characters are developed nicely but what lack in this game is images, well in short more words very less images and it doesnt give you then the kind of enjoyment you need. i hope in coming updates the developer put more shots and some good landscapes.

I just played through all there is in the game (or I could find) over the last two days. It is pretty linear so there isn’t much to miss. There is A LOT of story of mixed quality. There is no animations and training just randomly becomes useless. The Art is imho pretty amazing, but sadly very limited and spread out. You'll be playing quite a while before getting anything more then boobs. Especially in the act 1 of the game. Act 2 seems to improve things by quite a bit and finally let you fuck some people ( so far 18 [two scenes], Caulifla [several stuff], Blumas Mom[one scene]) and actually has some love sim elements.. A lot of things seems unfinished like Videl, who shows up and after three events you fap to her butt and that is it. Also there is no animations for now. Which sucks.

As far as the game goes it is a little wonky, some issues, but nothing you can't work around. A little issue with story consistency if you do things in an unexpected order which you absolutely can in act 1 as the game doesn’t force you to sleep between doing things. So you can just speed through the story. Otherwise the game pretty good. It needs work and hopefully more of that art, but it is nice. If you just look to fap, it isn't good right now. If you don’t mind a slow burning wonky DBZ story with porn go ahead.

At the beginning you have no content just a puzzle which you can do over and over again, I can spend my time better than solving a puzzle over and over again. Nothing really much tell´, because i got no further than the beginning.

What can I say? I have high hopes for this game. If I'm being completely honest I wasn't expecting much at first, but after playing what's available I can't say I didn't have fun. Maybe that's because I'm a huge dragon ball fan. So far I love the art style; it's very refreshing to look at. The gameplay elements really give off the vibe that the players are free to do whatever they please, as a true god of destruction should be able to. Very excited to see what becomes of the story in the future as well. Good looks.

As far as improvements go, the wording of a few sentences make it confusing as to what the player is expected to do. For example, while answering Gin's prayers it's easy to get confused as to whether you should increase or decrease his mortal level. Only after experimenting you'd find out that you were supposed to lower it.

What can i say aboy Divine Adventure [v0.8] ?

Well, is not that bad, but realy need some work.

The gameplay is nice, sometings that happend in the game is realy nice, but some is annoying.
The Music is from the anime, but i can say that i hear some in a rpgmaker game.
The art is realy beautiful, but some looks like work in progress.
In short, the game is not that bad, but require some cleaning, some bug fixing and some working, if you like dragon ball, give a try.

for the fans of dragon ball series, it's a pleasurable Experience, once the idea of power (something that the series is quite known for) is literally what defines the MC and the relation that he has, through out the game, with the girls (that all of us like) and the universes around him. They presents themselves according to the events that take place in a quite enjoyable story for the fans; what, in addtion with a Beautiful art in the modeling of the characters and some pretty chicks and hot scenes, is a good shot for those familiar with the series

The game has a well organized plot going that’s easy to follow but still keeps you thinking what could come next,the attention to detail of some of the dbz characters was also good in that they didn’t stary to far off how the original characters are.Its also nice to control a character that is not related to original dbz universe though it’s only a minor thing ,for people like me who likes to be immersed while we play just adds to the experience making you feel like you’re playing you.It has decent amount of content with good art (if you don’t mind mostly busty women) and the exploration feature was a nice add on.Hoping this carries on big fan

None. (Well yeah, there were issues with artwork in earlier versions but they've all been changed in a really good way. So yeah, no cons)

I like the premise of the game, and for the most part I dig the art style for the girls. However, my minor complaint is that some of the art is just wonky, with Vados looking older than one would expect a relatively immortal angel to look, and teh same goes with Bulma but less so. My major issue is the inconsistent art style. when I saw the girls as hand-drawn, I was alright with it. And even though the Oracle Fish wasn't hand-drawn, it made sense in my head since the Oracle Fish isn't really all that significant in the first place. However, seeing Yamcha and Frieza as how they would appear in the anime instead of a hand-drawn style really threw me off. Personally, I would prefer either all the characters be hand-drawn, or all of them have the anime art style. However, I am very interested to see where this game goes in the future!

Divine Adventure has a premise that has been done before, in one way or another, but an interesting take on it none the less. While currently, there is only two real routes (and both are unfinished), there are prompts and answers indicating that it could expand quite a bit.

Some of the options are underutilized however. The "Super Power" you choose at the beginning is rarely relevant, and some parts of the game require knowledge of Dragon Ball Super (so for a Dragon Ball traditionalist like myself, I was screwed [specifically mortality level; you have a bet with the gods about whether you can get a higher mortality level than them, but paradoxically, higher in this case means lower. I am assuming that is something explained in Super, but not in game, until it is too late]), although it is rarely, if ever, crippling.

Some of the premises are interesting though, such as your creation of a mortal in your own image (the explanation of how their society is so advanced when she is in her teens, when you created the said girl during their society's Bone Age [pre-Stone Age], is not explained though, and bugged me).

Hope to see this continued!

While initially skeptical of the plot and premise, I was soon blown away by the art and the direction. While at first, I felt the game was lacking in the features department, the plot soon interested me enough to ignore any potential slight. Later, the game mechanics were found to be absolutely fine, I was just lost initially cause I'm a fool. Otherwise solid game and I hope to see more from this promising project.

Review based on v0.6 :

A lot of positives for this game: great art, good writing, not grindy, a fun story-line that picks up after the tournament from the anime, solid mix of girls so far straight out of DB universe, its got some serious potential. Plus, it's a freakin English DB adult game, I mean awesome right?

Maybe because of all that I just mentioned, I find myself somewhat disappointed with the game. I know what you're thinking, let me explain. The thing is, the art is great (if you're fine with the dev's representation of DB characters, I am btw) however, the H-scenes are incredibly bland imo. It's not the setup or flow, all that works well actually, it's the fact that this game has opted for the single-image scene layout. Which makes it... unfappable?

If you're looking to just play a cool Indie DB game with some sexy pics d/l this right now. If you're expecting this to be your next fap material, meh. I'm hopeful the dev's will come back and add more to the scenes at some point, either way, it still gets a 4/5 from me.
