The worst revamp I have ever played in my life that more then a revamp I would say its a devamp or downgrade like others would call it.

So where do I even begin with this mess first I want to say I played the original version of Dickgirl Dorm and while it wasn't a master piece I thought it was quite good, clever and unique from the very unique models to the random events and also the story in the original was more serious had a nice tone to the game with that said this revamp is the complete opposite of everything that was good about the original game.

With that said I will now list everything that is worse or downgraded from the original

1 The most obvious the characters the original had some unique looking characters while this revamp version tried recreating them but they just look so ugly and everything in Honey Select looks generic girls look similar to each other they lost all that made them look unique by switching to another engine to make the models aka Honey Select which in my opinion its a terrible engine to make futa games to begin with even more so a futa ntr game.

2 The navigating on the original was really easy to travel and it was quick while navigating on this one just freaking sucks its annoying and such a pain in the ass huge downgrade

3 The story is 100 times worse the original dint have a stellar story but at least it took itself seriously was decent and made sense, but in this new revamp version the story just sucks its not even taking itself seriously its trying to be edgy and funny way too hard that it hurts the whole experience it makes the ntr feel weak because its all a joke also the whole best friend thing just sucks feels unnecessary shouldn't be in the game.

4 Characters personalities looks and dialogue just sucks what I mean by these is that characters are pretty much stereotypical portrayals of races and other stuff like recent politics and the dialogue like I said is full of bad comedy and other cringe stuff not serious.

5 Characters just vanish after talking to them and lets not talk about how tedious it is to trigger some things.

I really do not understand is how a developer can take a very unique game and just remake it but make it 100 times worse then the original it takes a lot of skill to be able to do that the revamp has ugly honey select characters that all look like clones lost the unique art style they once had, the dialogue is cringe, new navigation also sucks pain in the ass to travel and lastly the new storyline isn't serious and is all just lols goofy.

The dev really needs to scrap this atrocious revamp and go back to working on the original version of the game because so far the original beats the revamp in every category of the game.

i'd like to start by saying i have never made a review like this before. compared to the models and characters of the previously released game of dickgirl dorm, the characters look dreadfully and utterly ugly or average at best

Of all the years being in this site, i have never quit playing a game because the characters looked horrible. this is a first for me. i do understand that many men have different standards and opinions of beauty however, the degrees of perception regarding what is beauty is not very far from on another. for example, a person who is a 9/10 can never look like a 2/10 to another. basically two men can agree if shit looks like shit.

every character in the game looks exactly like a female /futa you'd not want to be close to in real life, let alone in a porn fantasy game. it really feels as if the creator did not spend time or effort on making the models at least moderately aesthetically pleasurable to look at...

    this is my honest review.

A lot of my old problems with the original Dickgirl Dorm game still exists in this revamped version that I'll try and expand upon constructively if I can.

My main problem with the setting is that from the get go; the game and its setting is treated like a joke. The reddit tier humour of the mashed potato of doom being how you choose your preferences I think ruins the mood of the game second one of opening it up. I think humour has it's place in such settings as NTR or NTS; but is best utilized as comedic relief rather than setting the tone.

Secondly, I feel like the intro is both much too long and also much too short. How does this seemingly contradictory statement make sense? Well the intro speedruns the MC's relationships with both his best friend and his gf turned wife in two or three quick transitional scenes - and then grudgingly goes over the introduction scenes of like 15 other tertiary characters before the player can even start moving around and exploring for themselves.

I'd say it'd be a fair statement to say that a good portion of the characters within the series are tokenized and stereotyped caricatures of their race or identity which was painfully cringey at times to read. I do like when racial characters are introduced and have their identities become material - but it has to be done tastefully and sparingly I find. Too much and you appear pandering or insensitive, too little and you lose characterization and sources to pull personality from. For me; this series is like seasoning a dish with salt and having the lid come off mid pour. Too much.

To return to the speedrunning allegation; I'd also like to add on that important story beats are moved past without much care. Does Sati mind that MC is dating Jun if you choose to have sex with her? Why isn't it mentioned if Sati is just FWB before MC meets Jun? Why does Jun automatically infer that MC and Sati had sex simply because MC mentions that Sati is a futa? A lot of details aren't answered and are just left up to interpretation when I think that only hurts the flow of the introduction.

Moving away from the story for a moment and onto a more thematic choice I had a problem with; it's a little jarring that the MC and Jun share the same green name tag during the dialogue boxes. It'd look so much better and more legible to have Jun or MC have separate colours.

There's a lot of minor gripes I have with the dialogue as well, such as it being far too political and [Current Year] for my tastes - a lot of the dialogue that could achieve the aims of setting up the boundaries of an NTS couple and such is being spent on talking about weed for some reason, the nuances of Indian religious culture and being introduced to a gigantic cast that extends the scope beyond what I believe to be manageable for a sole developer, at least straight out of the gate.

For now I will rate this 2/5 for the reasons above, this may change as things progress and if certain major offenders on this list get removed then I'd be happy to come back at a later date to rerate this game.

I have a hard time with the navigation for this game, and I will say, the political insert are edging on some extremes I don't personally appreciate. Example some zionist and other anti-diversity take ...

To be honest without that. I'm into the choice aspect but the gameplay is making it difficult to overcome those aspect at the current stage of development.
