Unity - Completed - Devil Rhythm -Silver Phantom- [AlexProject]

  1. 2.00 star(s)

    Neo Nocturne

    TL;DR:
    Pros:
    1. Nice 2D CGs

    Cons:
    1. Other than the 4CGs, everything else can be much better...but absolutely below average.

    Honest Opinion:
I have played better 2D action like Parasite in City and this...has so many problems that need to be fixed...but you know what? A cheap game for cheap value. It's not like 1-Star bad, but definitely not a 3-Star average.
  2. 1.00 star(s)

    ShinZou

This game is a sidescroller with little to no depth, gameplay sucks and controls are mediocre. You play as a female with the ability to transform into a devil for a limited amount of time and you acquire different weapons as you progress, each with a sort of exp counter that levels up the weapon as you use it.

Art: 5/10 - Colour is done quite well but line art is lacking. Overall it isnt too bad but it is however censored which lowers the score. Its average at best.

Animation: 4/10 - While there is animation in this game it is done with an arguably "lazy" puppet style with hinges and joints as opposed to frame by frame (quite reminiscent of GRIMHELM games but not nearly as good). It doesn't feel natural and isn't executed well enough. The walk cycle is done really badly and it looks as if youre controlling a person held up by strings.

Gameplay: 3/10 - Terrible. Its a side-scroller but your camera is centred while your character hangs towards the RIGHT side of the screen, cutting off most of your view and making it difficult to run without colliding with an enemy. Not gonna go into it too much but the controls are also mediocre.

    Story: 0/10 - None really.

CG: 3/10 - Boring af. Its censored and nothing special.

Boner: 0/10 - probably won't do much for you

In conclusion: Don't waste your time, it's yet another lazy side-scroller with 0 depth and nothing else to offer. The OP included a complete gallery if you really wana check it out.

If you wana play a GREAT side-scroller and don't mind (amazing) pixel art, try out "Parasite in City" or "Anthophobia".
