I dont know... Its not a bad game but ... there are more cons then pros. If you want to try it, go for it, you might enjoy it but I didnt.

- overall the story is boring and unrewarding. 70% of the game you are in the cafe, 20% at home, 10% in the bar and its all the same all over again. I stopped playing at ch13 and untill then, i think I found 3 sex scenes and maybe 2 BJ,HJ,and other stuff only. other then that its just normal non-porn game. I stopped because you are trying to achieve something and BAM when you achieve it, BAM its taken from you. like, WTF?

sorry, this game isnt for me. normally in a porn ppl want to see more porn and less BS around like politics, war with businessman or taking care of a cafe. there is a lot of stuff in this game but porn being one of the least things you will see.

This game has a truly horrible menuing and user interface. Terrible story. Misleading title. Runs in like 15fps at 720p. Not sure what any of the hype is about but I highly recommend not trying this one out.

This was truly a slow burn game, which was good, but there wasn't anything spectacular about the payoff.

I loved the characters. I really found something to like about each of the girls and felt bad when you ultimately had to choose only one. The renders were gorgeous, though they did falter at times. The animations were not good, when there were animations, and they reminded me of an episode of Clutch Cargo (youtube that and you'll see what I mean). However, the models more than made up for that. My only gripes had to do with the story and engine.

I get what the dev was trying to do with the minigames (was cool to play Pong at one point), but the latter half of the game doesn't involve them outside of a hacking minigame, so it feels like the game could've been easily done in ren'py. There are many times when you finish a sex scene and you have to listen to the MC squirt inside the girl the wait 20 seconds as your forced to watch his jizz ooze out of her vagina. When you're jacking off to it it's fine, but when you're just trying to finish the story it feels like a waste of time. And that's on top of the black screens you're forced to sit through.

Story wise there could've been more work put into it. The build up in the first 10 chapters was great and exactly what you want out of a slow burn game like this one. The second half, however, falls victim to that same cliche these older guy/younger girl VN's do, and it's the Old-Bitch-Comes-In-And-Tries-To-Break-Them-Up plot. Just as the MC and daughter start becoming intimate there's a huge break in the relationship, because of said Old Bitch, and it isn't resolved until near the end. I feel like there's a dozen other storylines you could do to add some drama to these stories, and this storyline took time, and sex scenes, away from the MC and daughter, which I wanted to see more of. I feel like there's a happy medium between non stop sex, like you see in other age-play VN's, and a more narrative focused story like Daughter For Dessert. The build to the MC and daughter getting together is so good, but it's taken away so quickly and put on the back burner for the rest of the game. Also, the main character is a dummy. Nobody's perfect and it's fiction, but who the hell forgets their ex-lover and mother of their daughter gave them $250k and NOT think it would be an important fact to bring up when the scornful aunt comes back and tries to take the daughter away from you. The last 1/3 of the game could've gone a lot differently if he knew that would be important! And the ending is sort of a let down in my opinion. I don't mind there wasn't a harem ending, because it's not that kind of game, but I would've loved to see the MC and daughter at least stay at the original diner with their friends, but that's just my gripe.

Overall, I want to give it a 3, but I loved the characters and the little moments you had with each of them so much I give it a 4.

Likeable characters with depth, story is good overall if not alittle to forced at some points especially at the end of chapters almost makes it feel soap opera-ish but still good enough to make you want to watch the next episode. keep up the good work.

Daughter for Dessert [Ch. 19] [Palmer/Love-Joint]

"Daughter for Dessert" by Palmer/Love-Joint was, in my experience, a rather underwhelming visual novel. I gave it a two out of five stars because while it had a few redeeming qualities, they were overshadowed by a plethora of issues that hindered my overall enjoyment.

First and foremost, the story left much to be desired. I found it to be aimless and meandering, often beating around the bush without making substantial progress. The main character, who was portrayed as a mature, silent type, inexplicably shifted between stoicism and a torrent of verbose inner monologues filled with pointless questions and unfounded paranoia. This inconsistency in character development made it challenging to connect with or invest in the protagonist.

The lewd events, which should have been a focal point of the game, were disappointingly one-sided and mundane. They concluded abruptly as soon as the main character finished, leaving me unsatisfied and exhausted after investing a considerable amount of time reading to reach those moments. The only saving grace was the erotic and passionate dialogue during these scenes, which added a hint of excitement but couldn't salvage the overall experience.

The excessive amount of text in the game was overwhelming. It felt like everyone had something to say about everything, and this verbosity only added to the tedium. Scene transitions were infuriatingly slow and unskippable, making replaying the game's multiple endings a test of patience. The inability to skip previously read text only compounded the frustration, forcing me to endure redundant dialogues repeatedly.

The game's visuals were a letdown as well. I was subjected to the same five backgrounds throughout the entire game, contributing to a sense of monotony. It was akin to following the monotonous routine of a restaurant worker, and I quickly grew tired of the lack of variety.

There were, however, a few characters that stood out positively. Moe, in particular, injected some much-needed entertainment and relief from the main character's constant complaints. Heidy and Amanda also had their moments, with engaging stories and dilemmas that added depth to their characters.

In summary, "Daughter for Dessert" had the potential to be an engaging visual novel, but it fell short in many aspects. A lackluster story, one-sided lewd events, excessive text, and technical annoyances like slow scene transitions and unskippable text hindered my overall enjoyment. While some characters shone, they couldn't salvage the game from its numerous flaws. It's a two-star experience for me, and I wouldn't recommend it to those seeking a captivating visual novel.

To my taste, this is one of the rare games made by adults and for adults. To clarify what i mean by that, it is NOT the type of game where the protagonist is a pervert looking at pure skin and getting a blowjob just few clicks away. This one is believable and seems just taken from real life (i would say the bright sides of life). Especially i liked the Kathy character. Funny i wouldn't have played it before since i misinterpreted it for some incest game by the title, and also that i just yesterday discovered it and played all night all the way thru. I loved the story and the mix of deepness, sentiment, arousal and that humor, and enjoyed the graphics. I totally recommend playing it and thank you for sharing it here.

warning: my review is affected by the fact that my save from a cracked version and cannot be used (i had a chapter 11 save hence 3 stars average) when the "legal version" was made available and inconvenience (to myself) is a big pet peeve/a turn off for games for me.

overall the game is quite good, graphics and story wise. lacks animation though, i dunno for current versions of this date but when i played it there was none---also a big drawback since they're using great graphic models.

i recommend to get a hold of/play it on the legal version so you won't be like me. i could've given it a four or five stars but again, replaying a game without a skip button? (it has but it bugs out) ....no thanks.

Feels like they were going for a good nice intricate story, to just become something quite gray all over, lack of any meaning to most characters actions.
The porn is fine, but that's it, fine. Nothing special there, the dub were good though.

theres not much good about this game,
the girls are mediocre. the story is boring and sometimes strange, the sex scenes are not hot. the enjoyment level is very low.
with that much praise about the dev like he is some kind of God is ridiculous, whats so special about this VN?
an erotic-vn should be about eroticism and excitement, and of course the sex scenes that push the reader to a climax and release. but here they push me into irritation and disappointment.
my votes are (as always) the enjoyment rate, not quality of CG, models, background, story, writing, or praise someone.

Overall very happy with the story, The MC was extremely frustrating, stupid borderline retarded and indecisive. But so were many of the other characters so I guess it something intentional... I didn't expect a flawless story but felt major frustrations at times. Still one of the better games I've played on here, 3.5/5 Rating from me and recommended.

This is a game that really tried to build up into a good story but simply failed to do so. One of the main issues I had is that the game starts off with Amanda being the first love interest. Then, it gives you choices into what route /girl you want to be with (no harem ending though) but you're still forced into playing the whole Amanda route because she is in the name of the title. In a normal visual novel, once you've cleared enough choices/flags, you will go down the path of the girl you choose to be with. Amanda does something absurdly annoying in the story; so much so that I lost interest in her completely and went after another girl. The problem is that the story forces you to go down the Amanda path and finish her story; even though I stopped caring for her completely because of how badly she was written.

Another poor writing technique that was used here was amnesia. Amnesia is something that I see in Asian stories as an overused and poor writing technique to hide plot points because the writer has no idea how to properly reveal big plot points. Yes, at one point, you're given amnesia for no reason only to hide a plot point that has been obvious but the writer put amnesia so that the reader wouldn't be aware of a plot point that all the other characters know.

There's lots of meaningless choices in this game and it really does try to be a more thought provoking adult visual novel but it all just really falls flat in the end. The build up is not worth the pay off.

Oh there are so many problems with this game... The most frustrating for me is that the women have no independent pleasure during sex, their pleasure is the MC's pleasure, and the moment he cums a single time it's literally lights-out for everybody. No post-climax play, no cumplay, no aftercare, no second or third round with any of these gorgeous characters. It's endlessly frustrating.

That said, if you can overlook the selfish protagonist, and you enjoy a linear story with some quirky-fun twists and great renders then this could be a 3 Star or even 4 Star game for you... Up until the end of Chapter 14.

Then I'd recommend you stop playing and just imagine the outcome you'd prefer, because it takes a hard turn into boring, expositional nonsense that just starts shooting holes willy-nilly into its own plot and premise, and for good measure robs the women of what little agency they still had. The protagonist, who has been an unrepentant cum-hose up to this point, spraying his seed into anything with a vagina, including his own daughter, while trying to keep all of his lovers secret from one another, is suddenly and inexplicably forced to start rejecting these women down to a single forever-waifu. None of them will reject him mind you; they won't learn the secrets of his incest or philandering and react accordingly.
This honestly isn't about the lack of a harem ending either. The game definitely spends 14 chapters establishing a harem, then suddenly finds Jesus or something and spends the next 5 chapters on a weirdly preachy monogamist crusade, but it's not the fact that you can't have it all which is problematic; The problem is that you can't even have the sub-sets that the game has already established. There's no Kathy + Heidi outcome, which is baffling. And even if Heidi were to hard-eject at an incest reveal, there's no Kathy + Amanda outcome either, which the whole early game seems to be leaning heavily into. I think there's even an argument for a Kathy + Amanda + Lily outcome, which would be pretty close to the full harem, and from Chapters 8 and 9 also seems like it's being set up ahead of time.

The way this game just nosedives after Chapter 14 really drains all the fun out of it and undermines the earlier experience.

To the Dev (Palmer): It's not too late to recover this! Your very best premise was your first one; the idea that Kathy is not only foreshadowing the incest but maybe even causing the Diner to spiral into a kind of vortex of taboo wish-fulfillment.
Whether that's real or not doesn't matter. If some of the characters start believing it, and manipulating it (with both intended and unintended consequences) you have an 'out' for basically every corner that you've written yourself into.

But I'd personally retcon everything from the start of Chapter 15 onward. Dump the entire Lacie/Cecilia/Saul thing as a red herring; in fact as you toy with the fantasy and reality of Kathy's storytelling they don't even have to end up being the characters they're first presented as (they could just be artefacts of how Kathy imagines the relationship between the MC and Amanda's mother). Then the secret Moe knows about is the incest, that's always been the pivot point for the plot, so what's he going to do about it? And how are the characters going to deal with him in turn?

There's plenty of scope to restore this to a legitimate 4 Star game. I really hope you'll give some thought to it.

Most of the main complaints (story, limited characterization, very vanilla sex) have already been raised repeatedly, but for me the biggest is that it's a sex game that kind of doesn't want you to have sex. As is common for this style of game we have a bunch of different potential partners. While they're not very well developed this is also one of the rare games where they were all very appealing to me (except Veronica, as Palmer or everyone else seems to have agreed) and hard to choose a favorite. And that's the problem. This is more of the "romance" style of game where it really wants you to pick one and only one character to go off and have vanilla, monogamous sex with. It's constantly trying to guilt you into not sleeping with someone else even as it introduces new characters. You even have a bland threesome that seems to be more about making everyone involved regret it later.

It also means that Amanda is your default since she's the only one with unskippable sex scenes. Any interest in the other characters will pretty much be "cheating" by design unless you only do so before things get going with Amanda and then unceremoniously and silently dump them.

Typically it's common to choose the harem route in games like this because it's tedious and dull to go back and play the game repeatedly just to see all of the routes. Even if you prefer one character over the others and only want to be monogamous with your one true love waifu you quickly encounter the situation of spending most of your time turning down sex with all the other characters. Which entails not getting to see any sex scenes because most of the time there are only two in each episode.

Eventually, after an entire game of generally being able to see every scene the late chapters start forcing the player to pick only one like some sort of sexual Highlander. It's just poor writing and bad design.

PROS:
- Good / Regular renderings of character models
- Good / Regular sex scenes
- The sex scenes have moans

CONS:
- The game is divided into chapters (separated)
- Mini-games are required to acquire scene
- Slow gameplay
- Stupid characters

Review:
The writing is good but the story is lost. I was reading until chapter 5 and then I ended up giving up and skipping and reading a little, I think I lost interest. The game has reasonable graphics, and the female characters, all are good, including Amanda who is the best of all. But during the game, I noticed that all the characters are in the same position, you don’t see Amanda very much on her back, an example, you don't see Amanda from the back as positions are always the same, I mean, you don't see anything different, another example, a character picking up something from the floor, or going to get something, nothing. This is one of the negative points.
Talking about the sex scenes they are good, they don't have animations or a sequence of images, but the interesting thing is that you can hear some moans. Some scenes are good and others not so.
The gameplay is very slow, this is not because of the writing, it is because the actions take, for example, you are in the office and hear footsteps and the door opening, but there is not a scene of the door opening it is just a sound, then there is a character, and then a dialogue begins. The sex scenes, after the MC has orgasms and when he cum, it looks like he's shooting with a water gun, seriously, the sound is also similar, it's bizarre and ridiculous. The episodes also have credits from before and after the episodes, so when the episode ends credits appear showing what will happen next, this is a waste of time.
Some characters are quite pathetic, such as Detective Moe. Seriously, I could have written a better character. But I'm not going to go into detail about it, I just stopped reading the story because it got lost, and I think the reason was some useless characters.
Anyway, I just think that the characters should have more depth, more relationships between them, more charisma and intrigue. Putting pathetic characters was a waste of time, because in the story there are many things that don't make sense or that didn't matter.

So, why I did give 2 stars?
For several reasons that I mentioned above and also the gameplay is slow.
Nothing more fair than two stars and I do not recommend it.

-For me the game never quite found the exact right blend of sexyfuntimes and conflict/drama (which to be fair must be really tough for adult games). I wouldn't be as harsh as others on the "change in attitude" of the daughter, but that conflict felt like something to be endured rather than something that kept me interested. Everything else seemed inconsequential so, for me, a lot of the game was dedicated to stuff I either didn't care much about or stuff I just wanted to see the resolution to.
-I really liked all the girls. Probably the biggest reason to rate as high as a 4. All really attractive in looks and personality. If any one of them were the star of their own story, I would happily pursue them. Unfortunately, all but the daughter felt like secondary or "what if" choices to me.
-I'm sure the developer had technical reasons for using this engine, but I think it would have been a much better experience for users in Renpy.

Pros:
- Renders are beautiful
- Sounds effects are a nice touch. Doors closing, footsteps, ambient noise, backgroud music, etc. Also a little moaning during sex scenes.
- Dialogues are well written

Cons:
- Story is weak to say the least. There's no real conflict through the whole thing.
- There's no real character depth for any of them except Lanie. And they never seem to struggle with their emotions and internal conflicts.
- Sex stuff is very vanilla, which doesn't bother me much, but given how Amanda writes a bunch of fetish stuff, i thought they could've explored that a little more.
- Game is separated in chapters. This is the most annoying thing. Having different save files for all chapters is really infuriating specially if you try to go through different endings.

Final score: 5/10 because it is a beautiful game, and I think its worth playing once

Good renders is pretty much the highlight of this one. I'm gonna give it a weak three stars because I at least bothered finishing it - barely.

It's a slow burner with way too much text and not much reason to read it. In later chapter, the story goes from simply uninteresting, to almost infuriatingly dumb. I had zero attachment for any of the cast. The sex stuff is completely vanilla unless you tweak relationships into father/daughter incest territory.

Minigames... Best thing about them is the cheat code allowing them to be skipped. Why do devs even include them?

Story wise, there is more or less no branching until the end. You basically get to say yes or no to certain scenes and have very little control over how the story plays out. That changes a bit near the very end, but trying different outcomes is annoyingly kludgy because of how saving works. I doubt most people will make it to the end much less bother testing different endings at this point in the game anyway, see point about annoyingly dumb story.

The game game's story loses direction and falls off after about the 3rd chapter. You can tell that it was an on-going effort to keep it drawn out as long as possible.

Voice acting actually detracts from the game rather than adding value. Writing style is extremely amateur and plot revelations are very stale. There is a complete void of any trace of humor, I don't recall a light chuckle or even a grin.

There are no animations or added value outside of default screen shakes and transitions. Transitions are horrendously long and on the same default preset.

Due to save locales and the way the game handles them your choices are locked for the future chapter unless you go through the hassle of finding and deleting the file.


Overall the game is more frustration than fun. Play at your own risk.
