Lucy was never going to be a path. The game would not be called Corporate Culture is she was truly a meaningful choice. If MC became serious about Lucy, the whole focus of the game would have to shift away from the corporate stuff.

Hooking up with Emma is a backward step in terms of climbing the corporate culture ladder. He's already outplayed her. (Emma is the former boss, right? If I messed that up, oops)

Elsa won't hook up with Edward. She has a goal and won't be sidetracked from it. And she currently sees him as a useful idiot. She is using him to accomplish something. And as I've said before, I assume what she wants to accomplish will be counter to what MC wants to accomplish at some point. And if he is still listening to her blindly when that happens, she will grind him to dust and not look back. She is not a LI.

Emma's secretary has some sidegirl potential and that kind of behavior fits the name of the game.

I do disagree about Elsa still 100%, I think Elsa is gonna heavily depend on the taking the right choices and gonna be harder to romance but I just don't see why she would not be a LI at all unless the dev takes choices away from the player. She just seems like the obvious troupe you see in some TV shows where a MC is gunning for a certain girl but then realizes at some point of who has been infront of him the entire time. Then the MC stops going for said girls he's been after the entire show and starts to romance his friend. I can understand why she doesn't seem like she would be a LI from a story point of view but that could easily change in a blink of an eye. But like I said before who knows either one of us could be right or wrong nothing is set in stone yet and only the dev knows

Yes, this text should be on every page of this forum.

Because she is written as someone utterly uninterested in any romance. And the MC is no Don Juan, capable of changing Elsa's mind about why romance is the right option for her.

She just seems like the obvious troupe you see in some TV shows where a MC is gunning for a certain girl but then realizes at some point of who has been infront of him the entire time.
That trope doesn't usually start from a character who has interest in romance. That trope is usually the woman who actually cares for the MC and is waiting for his eyes to open. Elsa doesn't care about the MC long term. He is a means to an end.

Then the MC stops going for said girls he's been after the entire show and starts to romance his friend.
I don't believe Elsa is MC's friend. Elsa is too Machiavellian to have friends.

I can understand why she doesn't seem like she would be a LI from a story point of view but that could easily change in a blink of an eye.
This only makes sense if you accept that the story so far can just be invalidated. I feel Elsa being LI material requires Elsa to be hit in the head by a falling object and being in a coma for 8 months, returning to the story with a completely different personality.

In any case, I think my views of Elsa have probably been repeated too many times. Sorry if I've become boring.

Hello,

Target is OK.
Week. Focused solely on setting up scenes this week. I was lagging behind by week on renders and given how many months it has taken already, there's little space for missteps left.
Completed 1 scene that turned out to be 2 scenes, the one I talked about in previous report. They were taking place in a same closed space, without some extensive environment and I was able to complete them quite early in the week.
Then I switched to the last scene of Day 3. It's bigger one. It takes place in 3 different environments, and it's extra important to get it right. I think the scene will take around 100–150 shots to go through it.
I divided it into 7 segments to track the progress. 4 segments were completed this week, 3 to go.
That was it for the week. I wanted to reduce lag formed by previous week, in order to have chance reaching target for May. The scenes were easy to work with, it was a chance to significantly reduce delay. I postponed other things, stayed overtime and it worked. Even better that I thought, the production this week doubled comparing to plan and the usual numbers. I'm no longer behind the schedule, although the bed never looked so good.
Progress. One scene remains to be completed in Day 3. 4 out of 7 segments of that scene are done.
Day 3 progress: 8 out of 9 scenes completed.
No news on Day 4. I did some calculations that usually turn out to be way off. However, Day 3 is taking about 1.5 month to complete. Day 4 is approximately the same size. Even if I rush through it is still will be close to one month of work. That would be mid-June, when work on Day 4 may be completed the earliest.
I thought of maybe making Day 4 available later as an add-on, "complete edition" whatever it's called. Doesn't look great to me.
Rendering. Still works with a "hybrid" scene.

Thanks for being here today.
See you.

Hey,
Soon the work on Day3 will be finished, after that there are two options:
First option. Call it a day – end development and start preparing for the release. If we call it a day, then I will switch one last scene of the upcoming update. It always was there and I've always planned to work on it last, it work better this ways. I believe it will be something around 100-150 images, 2 or 3 weeks of work depends how well it goes. In this scenarios work on the new updated ends within 2-3 weeks.
Second option. Continue working and complete Day 4. Day 4 will probably take ~1.5 months of work, if everything goes smooth, plus that last scene, which is another 2 weeks. In this scenarios work on the new update ends in 1.5 + 2 weeks, if I'm being optimistic.
This is not a promise, more of expectations. You know how everything can go wrong any moment.

On top of that, rendering is lagging behind. And in any case, it would also take a couple of weeks to finish the render queue. I'm being optimistic here too. :(
The initial plan was to go for Day 4, but days got expanded and here we are. Props of second option is more complete experience. Cons is I'm somewhat tired and start feeling pressure. It was 6 months plus something; you've been paying for it, and I want to deliver. This might lead to me cutting corners, due to both reasons.
This won't have a direct effect, but I want to learn your opinion.
Thanks for participating.

End it on Day 3. Sooner release.

Continue working on Day 4. Approximately, +1.5 months to release date.

Hello,

Target is OK.
Week. Continued working on last scene of Day 3 this week. Everything went well.
There's one sub-scene where I'm not happy with the lighting. It's ambient lighting, and it kind of has to be flat, and when it's flat, I don't like it, and when it's not flat, it doesn't make sense. I'll revisit it later. There are only two light sources; it shouldn't take too much time to adjust.
The other sub-scenes turned out fine, even better when fine. I wonder when adding British street furniture to give a scene the right feel will get old. Not yet.
Progress. The work on Day 3 has been completed.
Now Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3 are completed. I have a bit under 1100 shots, 600+ rendered.
Rendering. It's slow and doesn't have a lot of time to render, at the moment. It won't be able to catch up with the queue during the development phase, and it will take a couple of undisturbed weeks to render everything.
I adjusted some quality sliders and put more effort into optimizing scenes in this update. It worked to some extent, but It doesn't make sense to squeeze it harder. It's more of a hardware issue already.

Thanks for your time.
See you.

Last update was in October. I can't believe they voted for 2 (at least) more development months - this is completely insane.
I am one of them. I don't see any benefit in rushing the developer, let him get what he had planned. It has to be done later anyway. And since we've waited 7 months, who cares about 2 more. It doesn't matter what he does, he'll still get criticisms. The next thing is: 9 months for this!
As much as I would like to, we can't ask more from the dev, with the support he has, it's enough that he continues with the project.

Normally, I would opt for the developer finishing up what he had planned, but it sounded like he needed a break, and requiring that he keep working won't give him any break. I'm rather surprised (and disappointed) that the Patrons didn't consider the developer's well-being when casting their votes.

To be honest I hadn't noticed that part, but I didn't vote for him to keep going so that he would keep working non-stop, it was so that he would release what he had planned and not have the pressure of releasing something already. And I don't have a problem with him taking a break before continuing.

I mean, they're the ones paying...

Honestly, this dev is at least moving forward and keeps people informed of his progress, so it's not like he's not doing shit... every single fuckin AVN gets development cycle creep, that's how it goes =/

Honestly, take ur time to make it a decent update so we can appreciate what we all are waiting for... but... sweet but... no-one would mind to see some little one render sneak of Elsa or other babes once in a month or so... that would keep this topic alive and all fans even more hyped for update. Cheers

That took unexpected turn.

Patrons aren't pressuring me into additional work. All their comments were extremely supportive, thoughtful, and made emphasis on taking as much time as needed. Half of the reason why the game is still running, is because many of them went out of their way to make sure it's running, supporting it and helping me beyond what you could expect.

If the update is delayed, it will be delayed because of me, not because of vote or anything else. I'm the culprit behind delays, I am and a cruel, cruel world, sometimes.

Part you're talking about was there to give as good picture as possible to people who have been funding it, show where things might go wrong and explain why we even discussing a reduced version.
It wasn't a quirky attempt at asking for a break either. I'm no stranger to hiatuses and I still remember where's stop billing button. If I need a break, I'll press it.

Appreciate the concern and engagement in the project though.

I think we all agree on the fact that everybody who posts in this thread really loves your work.
