The only proof we have is the fact that hes been posting scenes over on his inkbunny but otherwise, like I said, the game itself has never been mentioned ever. He says he has a writer and they've been working on it and what not but theres never been any previews or anything, just porn that could otherwise stand alone. Also I don't know where you got the 7 years from, he dropped this project long ago and only just "picked it up" start of 2019 when he announced he was redoing it. The original flash BSC was very clearly dropped when he stopped posting about it entirely except to boast about how hes the "co-creator of the infamous babysitting cream game."
tl;dr he worked on the original flash game for years before dropping it for years and the start of last year he announced he was remaking the game from the ground up in renpy. Literally has not been working on the "current iteration" for more than a year and even then we've been given nothing except pictures that are meant to be scenes.

This is a flash game, it was last worked on in 2013, it's 2020. 2020-2013 = 7.
This game hasn't been worked on in 7 years, as you have said there is nothing too prove he even worked on it, also nothing to even suggest he actually started a remake last year. I'm oddly used to games that only get updated once every 7 mouths too a year, but none that take 7.

no, but BSC has had a fairly consistent pattern with its development, the 'no progress shown' thing has always been how it has been if memory shows with some exceptions here and there. but the individuals involved (the game maker, writer, and aval0n himself) have been semi-consistent (think every couple of months, sometimes earlier) with giving updates in their journals on the progress, it is no real surprise honestly that the game has such a long-dead spot right now since it went from working on the game to update it (which tends to take a few months on its own if memory serves since BSC is a hobby project and not a main one so it is placed low on the 'need to get done' totem pole) to having to scrap all of that progress and have to remake the entire game for a new engine since the engine they were working with is no longer being supported, having to figure out how that engine works and its limitations, the writer having to clean up what was there to make it more presentable (since up to that point the writing was handled by two people who's fortae it was not), and the fact sometimes IRL comes in to throw the entire thing out of whack by kneecapping one of the three people working on the game (for example aval0n's moving)
I am not saying the game has been without an update for a LONG time. I am saying though that you can't look at the game's history when it comes to updates and then call fowl just because it is continuing to follow the track of taking its sweet ass time. BSC has always been a timesink when it comes to development, and that timesink aspect has been exacerbated by the factors I listed (such as having to start over on a new engine, IRL, redoing things, etc).
on the good news though we do have evidence development at minimum got restarted in 2019 (considering aval0n was doing streams showing the progress being done on the game and making new sprites for it

) so if had to judge it the last time it was updated was around then.as for the 'it's done when its fucking done' thing? aval0n has gone on record before and actually touched on that. that is commonly thrown because of a mixture of him sick and tired of people always asking when BSC will be updated (it is also why he has been slowly losing his temper more often since he has to deal with a fanbase that has elements that almost rabidly hound him on development, I have seen plenty of developers both indie and non get pissed at there fanbases by people constantly asking 'when will it be done' so it is not exactly unique to aval0n) and the fact he has admitted on several occasions since BSC is not his primary focus (remember, its a hobby project, none of them are getting paid for it so it is not a major focus most of the time) and the fact he has given more concrete numbers in the past but has almost never stuck to them he can't give a concrete answer on when it will be done, hence the 'its done when its fucking done' thing.
TLDR:the game has a history of having long stints of time being taken between updates considering it is none of the people who develop its primary focus (thus going to take a LOT longer to finish compared to most projects) which is being exacerbated by what is going on both IRL and online such as flash no longer being supported so this still seems within the usual realm it takes to update for the game thus it is not quite fair yet to be throwing the abandoned flag just yet despite the long timeframe even if admittedly they should be showing more game progress updates, but the journal updates is the best we are going to be getting. and the person who is the main face sucks with giving solid timelines so thus has to say the game is done when its done.

Take it as you want. Previously he has stated that all this is just a hobby, and all the people working on it have full time jobs. And that they work on other stuff too, and have no intention of monitizing it. I believe they focus more on commissions before the game.

Pity that they abandoned this game, because I would have loved to see an update where you could use the car to get around, and maybe have some extra places to go to because of it.

Updated the bedroom kiss scene and added 3 new images, working on the bedroom bj scene, rewriting text, adding stat based scene, adding images. If anyone want's a sample, pm me and I'll upload there, otherwise will just keep updating on progress.

kiss scene - text updated, extended, 3 new images
get BJ - new scene added if you have had sex but no BJ from Cream, mildly humorous, extended, no images yet, but working on some
get BJ - original scene - happens any time you select this option and she's given you head already, text updated, extended, added one existing image where it should have been and created a new one as well (Yeah PhotoShop!)
Probably not going to edit the 'make love' scenes until I get the livingroom/Cream's bedroom sets done, since they will affect events in V's room.
