Yeah.I have the feeling that the game can be abandoned.When a dev starts a second game before finish first one we rarely see the end of any of them.Unless is rushed like ICSTOR did with Milf's Villa and Incest Story 2.Some are even surprised that after he upload Lost in Temptation 2 months ago we get API 0.9

If you advance the story with Ara you can't do the threesome.

Look at Slonique they have abandoned multiple games and they still have a shit ton of followers that must believe that they'll actually finish one.
