Just played through the new content (yes, there is indeed new content. Give the guy some credit folks ) and it was cute as always. Also had some drama + imminent character development for Mike at the end.
Mary's bakerella / fides Punica comment was hilarious. She's too smart and dorky to just deliver a pithy burn and that's one of the things that make her so adorable (there are different scenes if you didn't go with "ex cheated" backstory)

Only in the sense that it starts with a single guy who has a young and innocent female live in his place. The story and characters are different, even the atmosphere isn't the same. Not to mention that this is almost a kinetic novel where Babysitter is about choices and routes. Hardly fair to call it a rip off.
