So the dev's been posting on twitter pretty consistently, but he's falling prey to the "Ooh I have another idea" ADHD fallacy...he's .... I wouldn't say wasting time? but spending his time on yet another side project, an isometric view spinoff of this game. The theme is still there, but you can't see any of the good shit at that angle.

Jaguar if ya read this bro, focus. Add some more outfit options, another map or two and call it done so you can fiddle with these other project ideas guilt-free.

I'd love to, but the unfortunate reality is that I simply don't have any more money. My Patreon barely covers my monthly living expenses, which leaves nothing left for the game. A third-person game requires a higher level of fidelity, which in turn requires more money. Without any money left to hire others, I'm working with what I have.

I want to clarify, I mean none of this in an entitled way...if I come across otherwise, I apologize and only intend support <3 With that said...let me tell you about a little HGame called Erinye.

Erinye had a lot of potential, like many others do. It was a cute little Zelda-esque game where you could get lewd shots of enemies as you beat them. He did his own art, opened his own patreon, started out the same as most others with lots of work early on. He never quite got as much patreon support as you did though, and started doing other things like Commissions. People were supporting him for Erinye though, not random art commissions. He released a 2nd game using the assets of Erinye, a chess-like puzzle game, which was pretty good in its' own right, but much shallower and not what everyone was supporting him for. His patrons quickly disappeared and I've not seen any updates from him in years now.

Now, don't get me wrong - I understand money is a very important part when you have a vision and need outside help to make it a reality. It's easy to burn out staying on the same project too, I know...I've spent a few years of my own time working on my own Exhibitionism HGame, including money spent on character art commissions, and countless hours figuring out my own scripts for systems I needed, research and reaching out to related communities for assistance. I never posted my game anywhere though, and rewrote the story a lot + restarted it entirely 3 different times, so I feel you on a lot of different levels.

But that's why I follow this so closely - you're one of very few folks who gets what Exhibitionism really is, the mindset and experience rather than a plot device that always leads to sex/rape. And maybe living vicariously to see you do what I didn't, release a good game in that vein, lol.

I think what I want to say is, it's just a pattern I've both seen and fallen into myself when you start to look around at other things and lose focus. Obviously Roshutsu is popular enough as is, you have a solid patreon base and a solid base game, you don't need a ton of other gameplay options - just more ways to enjoy existing gameplay that already has us interested, primarily through outfits (customization) and locations. If you still want to sell outfits, it's time to implement a way to earn that currency via points; otherwise, maybe an unlock system by doing certain achievements. (e.g; follow someone naked without being spotted for 10 seconds, or hidden in remote corners/very risky public parts of the map) - those webms of sneaking past classrooms had me extremely excited to see something like that implemented.

If you want to share with us what you feel you need for Roshutsu to move forward, please, post it here or DM me - I've got enough faith that I might be able to help out with getting a specific model/asset commission done for you besides just a cheap patreon donation.

I understand what you're saying here and I wish you'd have more patrons since you deserve it but as others have stated, this may not be the way to go. If you keep on like this you might go from making some money to making no money because your current patrons might just very well unsubscribe when they notice they're no longer getting what they paid for.

Also, I know you spend a lot of time working on the game but I gotta say if you want money you gotta attract more attention and right now you aren't doing a very good job at advertising your game or inspiring confidence in potential customers. You post very infrequently everywhere except your twitter and even that is not very often, and when you do try to advertise your game it seems to be mostly on reddit once every few months or so. Even on this very site you only have like 21 comments. You won't gain a lot of visibility this way.

Maybe try posting a bit more often whenever it seems relevant. A helpful comment here, a funny meme here might ensure more people click on your name, and therefore your game and then possibly your patreon. I mean even a lot of people interested in exhibitionism don't seem to know you exist, I've seen recommendation threads about exhibitionism games where nobody suggests your game. Perhaps it's the name? Not many people know what "Roshutsu" means and Google translates it as "Exposure" but it not might not immediately click for people that it refers to exhibitionism.

I'm no social media expert or anything, though so I don't really know what to tell you in regards to becoming more popular besides that. Maybe figuring out at what days and hours posts get the most traction and post some gameplay vids then, but right now posting like once every 3-4 months on r/lewdgames and r/ENF doesn't seem to do much, or maybe it did and I just didn't see? but if it did then all the more reason to keep posting.

What I do know is that people on twitter and reddit can be very annoying, fickle and hypocritical.
They hate seeing small creators constantly post their own creations in an attempt to get traction, but they seem to be perfectly fine with it if a "friend" or a "totally random person completely unrelated to the creator, trust me bro" is doing the posting instead, unless of course they find out the "friend" is actually just the creator on another account. The reason I call it hypocritical is because they'll complain about small indie creators doing it but seem to be totally ok with it when a large corporation is pretending to be a totally-normal-user-and-not-an-astroturfing-account advertising a product of said corporation.

I'm sorry, it sucks. You deserve more patrons and I wanna help, but besides donating a bit of money and telling some of my pervert friends about the game, there ain't much I or anyone else here can do to help, I think.
Consider Steam and its Early Access feature. Your game is pretty tame and would most likely be approved. I mean, Carnal Instincts is there, why can't your game be there, right? You'd get some extra cash from people who can't always use Patreon due to bank restrictions and stuff like that or simply don't want to use Patreon. For example, Patreon is pretty finicky for me. My payments to creators don't always seem to go through so I use Steam when I can, even when it comes to a hentai game.

Best of luck to you in the future, I really hope your game succeeds.

Jaguar has been posting on his twitter again and has burnt out on the topdown spinoff already, but says he kinda wants to go "back to Roshutsu at least" lol. I hope he reads the thread and starts to think about what I suggested above, rather than gameplay; the core gameplay is there already, other facets just need to be expanded upon.

  • If you need the Story done, reach out to me, I'll write you a storyboard/outline for free - writing was one of the few parts I had no issue with in my own game lol.
  • More outfits will help, that's been my #1 hope since the first time I played - tank tops, spats, body writing, sheer stuff, toys, etc. If you can find someone to make outfits at a bulk discount, let me know in DM and we'll see what I might be able to do to about that for you.
  • Import that spinoff game's School map if you can and use some generic npcs to fill the rooms/wander the halls on a schedule.
  • Add another named NPC or two, you already have the blonde girl in your twitter webms for the spinoff games. She can be used to help push the story along from a neutral point of view; I had something similar in my own game where the MC's friend talked about rumors of a streaker and helped add tension to the MC and set the mindset.
  • Do something with the Score system that translates into $ to buy outfits/toys
  • Take a look at the handful of other games in this vein and see what they did, Naked Order, literally anything H.H. Works has done (especially Exhibition Academy), a few others.

It seems Jaguar has moved on to a new and greater project where you'll play as a girl settling in to a new town wearing absolutely nothing and she inclines to stay that way for the rest of her time there.

The project is stated to be an erotic point-and-click nudist life sim.

I gotta say, this project sounds pretty exciting and I'm looking forward to trying it out once a playable build gets released.
But I have to wonder though, does this mean that Roshutsu has been abandoned (or shelved rather)?
I wouldn't be surprised if it is but I do think it's a shame since both games aim for different ideas:
One focused on being a naughty stealthy exhibitionist (ENF) while the other one embraces the nudity lifestyle.
I'm going to miss the embarrassment (and humiliating) aspect honestly, it's why I love exhibitionist games like Roshutsu.

I guess all that's left for a 3D exhibitionist game where you try to avoid being seen is Naked Risk 3D, but it's barebones right now and the next big update for it is probably going to take a long while.

Eh, streaking isn't as fun if the girl isn't embarrassed by being naked.
If it's not a dirty little secret, then what's the point?
Indeed. It's just nudism, not exhibitionism at that point and that's boring. Plus it's just a point & click adventure, that's barely better than a VN just because it has more interaction than reading.

It's a real damn shame this game went the same way most other HGames did, but I guess I'm happy he got roped into something else as a result at least.

RIP hopes & dreams of a good 3d sexless exhibitionism title

The new game will be 3D, but we don't have anything to show for it at the moment.

Dang, I was wondering what was going on with this just the other day. Speak of the devil.

Sad to hear that this is getting sidelined; it's pretty unique compared the rest of the stuff I see here and I liked where it was going and how it looked. I'll stick around for the new game, but I'll just hang onto the copium for seeing this game revived further down the line

I just wanted to have another playable character in Roshutsu. Aparently Rika (the blonde girl) had a naked model too but she never got playable.
