Why do American gamers hate sex or sexiness in their game?

Tabletop RPGs are probably a weird place to bring sex unless you're specifically playing a sexual game with people you're willing to bang. I don't want to sit down with non-sexual friends, or total strangers in some cases, and RP a full sexual encounter with a female NPC created by a male GM. But, the people who lose their shit at the very idea of this probably aren't gamers. Even on gaming sites, forums, and subreddits there's a lot of non-gamers pushing their bs woke politics.
I think if your gonna do it, you should probably do it in text based format and not in person. That way things aren't nearly as awkward as your not looking at the nerd next to you as describe your cock. lol

Sooo... From what I gather even porn gamers hate sex in games, gotcha.

Sorry to ruin the hobby, logining out now.
It's not the sex, or the games, it's the social setting.

Doing sexy roleplaying with a bunch of guys would feel very weird to me, and not sexy at all.

But I also tend to compartimentalise: although I like a porn game with a good story, too much story is kind of killing it for me. Whereas too much sex in a good story (e.g. TV series) kind of kills it for me too. In a porn game, the story should support the porn, nothing more. In a story, the "porn" (functional nudity) should support the story, nothing more.

This is not about prudishness, I don't care about seeing nipples, pussy or erect cock in a TV series. I do object against 15 minutes straight up porn in a TV series because, well, 15 minutes is too short to fap and it distracts from the story. Spartacus: Blood and Sand is a good example of too much porn in a TV series, even though I am grateful for the scenes with Lucy Lawless.

Melody is, too me, a porn game with too much story. What doesn't help is that the story is about a topic (music and pop history) which I don't really care about. The result is rather similar to Spartacus: 15 minutes fapping, 15 minutes clicking through text about a random subject. Rather pointless.

I'm northern European and not a tabletop RPG gamer, but if I were, I wouldn't like sexual fantasies to be part of it.

I'm not against talking about sex or certain fetishes with friends but I wouldn't want to mix it with a casual game.

Hildegardt you have to understand that probably the majority of this forum are not native English speakers and are not "properly schooled" in the present woke bullshit terminology. So, I don't give a fuck if some neo-marxist determined that the term "main character" is somehow sexist. It's just the character that gets the most screen time, therefore "main". Same for the term "love interest". Please be so kind to just take these terms at face value and stop reading things that are not there.
I don't see anything wrong with it.
-I cast a shadowy shadow mega lightning bolt to strike the enemy.
-I unzip my trousers and masturbate until I cum on his face.

OP, find yourself same thinking group to roleplay your kinks. It has nothing to do with " hating sex", but roleplaying sex is too awkward/distracting and not the reason why most tabletop players play these games.

(roleplaying sex is also a different skill, which many people lack (look up at average western porn game sex scenes how badly they're written, like some cheap 1970 porn video dialogue))

How would you feel yourself if someone roleplaying as a horse had an idea suddenly to anally rape your character?

Find people who would be into that.

I'm a game master and not new in the hobbie. For me is extremely inapropiate to roleplay sex scenes even with adults, also my sister was one or my players 8 years toll so could be a very uncorfotable game session. Could be very hard to find a physical group to play It a table where i could find myself confortable.

My two cents:

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

I wouldn't like to stop your proyect or crush your dreams but will be a game mainly roleplayed online by anonymous players but expect to be played a lot in forums, online by anonymus people but i dont expect it really to be played in actual tables

I mostly play with guys and the women that show up generally are girlfrieds of the fellas, so... sexy stuff on a tabletop game would be quite awkward.
Now, if the people involved were completely single and in a spring break or a cruise, sexy roleplay in a tabletop game would be nice

regarding the point of Americans, it seems to me that they have a very prudish education, but their hormones don't care about that and their sexuality explodes as the biggest porn industry, lol. It's like a pressure cooking pot

some people like to separate the types of fun. those guys kinda took it a bit far though. i would recommend bringing it up in a more nsfw area.

Whip your dick out and piss on the DM. Stare that DM in the eyes when you do so as to assert dominance.

Also:
It's one thing i've always found hilarious.

Violence on TV - Americans - GIVE ME MOAR.

Nipple flash on TV - Americans - WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN.
It's funny and strange how someone makes an mature/adult game/movie/whatever of which the target audience are adult. If a parent decides to buy said game/movie/whatever then I have no sympathy nor time for their buyer's remorse. The excuse as you pointed out it often "Think of the children."

The hell's wrong with that? Or are you going to try and tell me you don't get pissy when people bring murder to your sex fantasies?
(Allow me to quote your words, because it sum up what I would like to express in just a sentence. And it's freaking hilarious.)

As KemonoPadstudio have mentioned, Japan table top is adding cuties, so as their novels and anime, literally to everything. No doubt,it lead to a worldwide success. But speaking of the old days, the Japan creations have always brought some of the most inspiring idea from sci fi to fantasy genre.

I guess the redditors are not anti cutie, boobies or anything sexy. But those are just too eye catching that will shift the focus of the players, hence ruining the message or vibe that the game supposed to carry.

Just come back to F95 and share the sexy thought here. If KemonoPadstudio TRPG rules allow me to impregnate the demon queen when I roll a 20, that will be the greatest adult gaming experience of all time.

Well:
1) Some parents may be ok with violence and not with nudity and vice versa. That is up the parents and I see nothing wrong with that. Some of the age classification schemes are laughable on both violence and nudity, and can be too strict or too lax depending.
2) Adults do not always decide what their children can or will see, they will also find ways around parental controls or just watch the content at their older friend's house.

1. Sure, but that's their business and any... consequence is on them be it positive/negative or neither, after all they were warned and with a title like Grand Theft Auto or Vampire-Girl Slut Adventure describes well enough on the tin outside of ratings.

2. Yeah but was more so referring to a situation with a parent's control. Obviously no-one can hold them at fault for something outside of it. On the subject of the ease of gathering such materials, it would still help if parents didn't given their children access to their cards (Outside of said kid stealing it, in which case they've a bigger problem) or buy them virtual "storebuck" which said parent would then have no control over. But I am aware that even then kids can STILL access such materials but it shouldn't mean that the parents in question shouldn't try the best to prevent/limit it.

I guess I'm in the minority here but I often like to show games I play to my mom or random chicks/girlfriends.

I also find modesty attractive and oftentimes the sexualization breaks my immersion. Not totally opposed to a little sexiness, just needs to be kinda tasteful and not too out of place/scene.

That's totally fine. I in no way think that every game or movie or whatever needs to have sex or violence in it. But I think the broader debate here, and the one that really underscores the major problem with the prevailing attitude toward sex and violence in mass media releases, is whether or not every mainstream game/movie/TV show/etc. needs to pass the "I could show this to my prudish Christian mom without her disowning me" test.

Ratings systems exist for a reason, after all: so that you can tell whether you're about to watch a gentle rom-com, or hardcore pornography; so that you know that you're going to see cutesy plants fight cutesy zombies, or rotting bodies chopped up with a chainsaw and a fountain of congealed blood; and so that you know whether that cute little cartoon girl on the cover art is going to ride horses and meet wonderful animal friends, or get fucked by horses.

The fact of the matter is, I want there to be action movies with boobies, and I want there to be romcoms without, and I'd like to be able to determine whether I watch either of them with friends/family or not based on my own moral strictures and not somebody else's.

I have to say I disagree with this. I think that, as a whole, mainstream TV shows have become much more sexual than they were in, say, the 80's / 90's, where there was NO nudity on TV at all. I remember that in the 90's, some TV channels started showing German soft-porn at night. No cocks in sight, certainly no penetration. Yet this was considered very risqué.

Nowadays many TV shows have some nudity, and quite a few have sex scenes which are just as explicit as this 80's / 90's soft-porn.

I do agree with your opinion on rating systems. It's good that they exist, but in my opinion they are even less useful and informative than the F95Zone tag system. :ROFLMAO:

Because Americans are retarded. You can't show Tits on TV unless you cut them off with a sword.
I think that's Afghanistan.
You got confused.
Don't worry, the difference isn't big.
They both start with an "A".
It can happen to anyone.

Just follow the teleprompter from now on, mkay? :ROFLMAO:;)
