Hi, really liked the first chapter of this game. Second one provided a bunch of problems because the game did not recognise that I had played the first one. So I actually played it both offline and online. Now with the 3rd chapter, again, every way to play the game says - you have not played chapter 2. Is there anything I'm doing wrong, what's going on. Someone previously mentioned the directory: "C:\Users\xx\AppData\Local\VNE2", I checked, and yes I have a bunch of .dat files there.

If you played 1st one offline and 2nd part online, then of course the online version does not recognize offline saves. If you now tried to play 3rd part offline again, then it can not continue the online version of the 2nd part. There are warnings about this in OP and Palmer's site. You can't mix online and offline versions.
Also, I'm guessing that the saves from the online version won't survive browser cache cleanups.
So, the safest way to keep your saves is to play all of them offline. Then all your save files will stay in that VNE2 folder and the next version fill find the last state of the previous version from there.

Palmer comes here often, so you'll get a Real answer soon. My guess it'll pick the save with the most recent date.
So if you want a certain Route to go through, go back a game, load and resave that save...

Yes, the last play through (and you need to reach the end of the game). This is explained in one of the warning screen at the beginning of the game, btw.

If i trie to downlad Chapter 1 Real the file is called: DFD_RD_1.0.1 (where RD stay for Real daughter). So i know that i have the real daughter game to play.
Then i trie to download Chapter 3 and the file is called: DFD_RD_ch3_1.0.1. (so no problem).
But if i trie chapter 2: DFD_ch2_1.0.0 <---- i trie both the real and the adopted one, but both are called in the same name.

The names were the same, but the files were right. Anyway, I just updated the files (I forgot to update Ch2 MEGA links).

anyone have the voice audio files for this game?
Edit: Ignore that. I apparently didn't have my sound on and couldn't hear the voices. Freaked me out royally.

Can you share how to get this outcome? I'm pretty sure that I went through all the choices and never got it.
once Kathy comes to the mc for advice on how to handle her situation...choose the let loose option or whatever its called. after that it all comes together.

I do not think Chapter 4 is out yet, except if you are a patron and play on the website version (as opposed to a downloadable version). I am a patron so I play all online. Palmer does not release the downloadable versions on Patreon but he is releasing them here (or somewhere) but I do not know where/how.

Not sure of the intent of this game other than to set up an elaborate structure for Patreon donations. Rather than provide and garner patreon subs through compelling content, the developer subscribes to an excruciating slow burn story that is on course to verging on Dating My Daughter levels of meandering.
The episodes are comically short with little to no resonating content. You could spacebar through the entire story in 4 minutes without any adverse effects on decisions you choose and provide only slight variances on relationships.
No animations, No H-Scenes, Disruptive patreon reminders, and 50% of dialogue is dedicated to a fat detective.
I cant play these cash grabs any more and im certainly done giving this design model/content output structures money
