Well if history is any indication, people will continue to ask for the update days early (without even doing the slightest shred of research ahead of time about when the game is actually scheduled to release) and then ask relentlessly for the update as soon as the clock strikes 12 in their time-zone with no regard for whether the update has even been released yet, followed by spamming the page nonstop when the update actually releases because they're too impatient to wait for the files to upload to MEGA. Then they'll complain about slow download speeds and then after they finally get the game and finish asking the same questions about how to install the extras over and over again (again without having done a single second of research onto this thread), they'll hold down ctrl and skip through all of the dialogue, blow their load at the first image of a pussy, and then come back here to complain about how short the update was an how the developer is milking everyone.

We'll be lucky if we aren't at 300 by Saturday morning.
What about locking the thread at a certain point close to release? Then there could be a separate download thread created to post the link, which could be deleted and moved to the locked thread's OP when the main thread is re-opened. We could even post multiple pre-locked threads with the short answers to common questions in the thread title, and delete them after the main thread re-opens.

The pro is we keep the main thread tidy and useable. The con is it creates a fair amount of work for the mods, probably too much I suppose.

My suggestion would be locking the thread on Thursday with a mod message (highlighted in red) explaining the situation and instructing uploaders to PM links to the mod team, who will then add an update at the end of the thread. Then come Friday Night/Saturday unlocking the thread for discussion to resume.

I agree; I just got into DMD at v0.08 and while I thought Day 11 was a bit lackluster, the amount of content in each update seems to dwarf (even if it's a little) the previous date.

I don't mind the slow progression and it looks like we will be peeling off at least corruption level 7 (maybe 8 too if we are lucky) to further progress things with D.

per recent discussions with the DMD team, it's possible that Day 13 will mark the end of "Chapter 1" and the dating phase. I think it'll end with at least a bj I hope!
