i haven't been able too keep up with this game at all but didn't the dev say it gonna be released at jan 10?

Will be released to the 10$ Patreons today, yes, but we're not going to get it before Monday-Tuesday next week (at least if the supporters follow that 4-5 day guideline)

Just FYI, pirates have recieved a letter of marque to attack and loot all ships except those flying Cheeky's flag for the period of 5 days, so don't get your hopes up.
Assuming the patrons listen... But why do people keep saying 5 days here? Didn't the Dev say 4-5? If he said 4, let's make it 4. No reason to wait another day.

Episode 9 almost done
Folks,
Just need to make a last few edits to Episode 9 and will then release. Have some errors to correct and the last scene to complete. Renders & dialog complete for the last scene, I just need to pair them up. And need to add a last minute animation. Wasn't expecting to get this in, but Aeilion went above and beyond and completed it!
Will be home from work in a couple of hours and will be jumping straight onto the PC when I get home and will work continuously until Episode 9 is complete, so next update from me will contain the Episode 9 release! Hoping to have it ALL done about 10 in approx. 10 hrs!

I'm okay with waiting an extra 4-5 days because Cheeky asked us nicely, but if a Patron comes in during that period throwing spoilers around without hiding them behind spoiler tags just to torture us, as some people love to do around here, I say we fit 'em with concrete shoes and make them walk the plank hang 'em from the yardarm to serve as a warning to others that want try it.

yeah, you're right about the lack of originality and it's probably a major issue.
but i still stand to my statement that a lot of people are off put. take alone, patreon for example: incest is no bestiality, no rape, nor CP. yet it isn't allowed on their site. people even go out of their way to flag games they don't play, just to banish them from patreon.
if professional porn involves incest, it's always step-(something).
of course incest is one of the most dominating fetishes, but that doesn't mean there is not also a lot of resentment against it.

Incest is simply not allowed on Patreon because it's illegal (in vast majority of countries), hence Patreon doesn't allow promoting such content in games and so on. Yes, you're right, there are people out there that dislike incest a lot, just like there are NTR haters, BDSM haters etc, you can't please everyone, it's impossible. But incest still stands as one of the biggest fetishes out there, probably has the biggest fan base in comparison to other fetishes, so those that are put off by incest, well, they are only a few compared to the number of people that love it

What point are you even trying to make here? Sounds like you're just trying to argue about the popularity of a fetish you don't like. I mean, you're making statements that a lot of people are put off by incest or resent it, etc. Well, you could literally say that about any kind of fetish. There's always going to be "a lot" of people who are put off and resent certain things.
I mean, just looking at this site we can see that incest content in games is very popular. Look at the bigger / popular games here, and you will see incest is in most of them. If it wasn't popular or something people like to support you wouldn't see that. Hell, this game here might have been an incest game also, but it was created after Patreon started doing it's thing.
Look at the "Bribe" the dev here has issued just the other day. Tempting people with a bonus episode with content that won't need to adhere to Patreons guidelines. Perhaps implying there might be incest content in these scenarios, because he knows it's popular.

Patreon has nothing to do with it, it's PayPal that has a problem with it. Credit card companies don't want to be liable or associated with illegal or questionable material, so therefore incest, bestiality, shota, etc. is all banned on Patreon. Is incest a really popular fetish in the outside vanilla world? No. Is it really popular among all of us sexual deviants here on F95, yes, yes it is. Do some people here still get put off by it? Sure, but I'd wager they're in the minority.

I mean, I could be wrong, but I'd assume the extra content would include a threesome of some sort with Monica/Katie/Jenna, so that would be incest... Say what you will about incest, but if two sisters asked me for a threesome irl (not my sisters, other sisters obviously), I wouldn't bat an eye. Besides, what else would he add that Patreon wouldn't allow other than incest?
