The problem is not a black screen.
The mouse (cursor) is somehow limited to the upper left quarter of the game screen.
I can't move the cursor to top right, lower left and lower right parts of the screen.
I'm running El Capitan by the way.

I DLed the individual zip fileset from the OP and retried the archives...

It depends on distro you are using, I think that 7z has been hold/frozen locally on your system. I'm curious to solve this, so if you'd like, gimme some hints :-D

sry i have not seen it initially.after copying the file like in the read me file i have smt like....init failed could not load game,there is no game file or the file is corrupted...what to do now?? Thanks

and its not even a exe file, just a update from 0.28 to 0.29 , i cant open it or smt i just copyed over the 0.28 game and it gave me that error

That looks like a linux file to me, not what you want if you're running windows.
Seems like you clicked on the wrong download link.

Lol, it's linux SHell ARchive

You have two options:
- download exe updater from OP (update takes a while, it double checks everything, don't get shocked by black&white console window)
- install cygwin or another bash-equipped emulator and run it inside.

You can try downloading whole 0.28 game to check, if bug happens there too. But, I'm almost certain that running v0.29 (player 5.0.8) with player from 0.28 (player 5.0.7) would end up with failure, as game is built against that one certain version of player. Players differs by used libraries (does not hurt) and by some different internals (different lua for example, which hurts).

But if you at least partly familiar with MacOS .app structure, you can try mixing shit up , maybe, we will be suprised.

If you are not experienced enough, it will be just pain in the ass with not reasonable outcome.

yeah it worked now, thanks ,was stoned and downloaded linux version) now i have another problem,what to do with the saves? cause the exe 0.29 does not contain any, just the installer update kit, how do i start from where i left? btw the app data folder i cannot find it to overwrite them so...thanks again

So, it seems like reason of your obsolette 7z is Ubuntu/Mint repository.

LM 18.3 comes with Ubuntu 16.04 package base, where p7zip is in version 9.20. I really didn't expect this.

Probbably easiest way to get newer 7z is upgrading your mint to v19, as it comes with 18.04 ubuntu repo. Other way is installing p7zip from some ppa repositories or backports, but it's not probbably worth of potential problems, so updating Mint should be just fine.

As it was mentioned zillion times here, old saves are not compatible with newer version. It's sad, but not solvable at this point. There is small installer in Saves zip archive, there are Saves created by Nenad. You can use "Autosaves" to start approximatelly where you finished, or load game (save placed in "load" is made up to the end of 0.28).
