Really? You actually think the number of people that rush off to become patrons of dozens or more developers that have games being posted here for free outnumber those sitting back and saying, "Hmmmmm pay out hundreds for all this content or get it free? I choose the latter." ?

A developer who gives all their work to the public for free will still get decent support if exposed to enough people.

This is the best way to expose your product in this business/market/whatever-it is.

If Pornhub (not the best example but... eh) didn't exist, far fewer people would subscribe to Brazzers, because far fewer people would know it exists.

This shouldn't be a revelation to you, it's almost obvious.

The real revelation is the existence of the term "digital cuckoldry". I had to look it up to find out what it meant. And then I realized... so all these pornstars and 3D models are my wives?!!!!!!!!!!

Most devs do give out the content free (to an extent) in hopes of attracting interest. But then hero F95ers who pick and choose who they become patrons of upload the latest, Patron-only versions of the games here and the vast majority bypass the whole "pay to get strung along for years while updates trickle down" thing.

Can't speak to the whole cuck thing... I just play these games fpr the fap material, not because I care about fictional characters in a video game. Heh
