I didn't want to punish Hikari, but it was an excellent opportunity to get a sex scene with her bitchy sister, Akemi- then the MC proceeds to dominate Akemi both physically and mentally, which surprised me.

If i came across as trying to say that it is impossible to have rough stuff on the romance paths i am sorry what i meant to say is even playing without the guide you can avoid any rough stuff if you so choose such as the case with my run.

There are so many variations with Riley that it's very confusing. But I always seem to end up on the slave Riley path so you are probably right. It would make sense that Cassie would refuse to come over of you are romancing her friend.

Since I go the romantic route with everyone, Hikari's first punishment was tying her to the pillar and nothing else. And later in the bet I told Akemi that I had no intention of punishing Hikari.

I am on the romance path for her and i have the same choices. The PDF walkrthough linked in the OP is pretty good it might be worth a look to see if you can figure out why exactly you are getting different stuff. The only thing i can think of that would be able to play any role is the bet with akemi but since ive never done it I cant say for certain fwiw above is how MCs night ends for me

Yes, but if I'm understanding this correctly, you make a choice between Hikari & Akemi. Hikari I'm on romance, but I think technically you are still on romance with Akemi if you do the bet with her.

But yeah, with Olivia I forget exactly what Cassie said in that gym scene that she wanted to do to her, but I remember it was quite nasty. My choice was to neither punish Hikari nor Akemi, leaving the romance route open for both. The romance route with Hikari begins that night, when she goes to the MC's room and you ask her if she wants a massage.

With Akemi there is no possibility of starting the romance route for now.

I agree with it being controlling to an extent but I personally view a fair bit of it as "precaution" taken as part of this being a VN because a fair amount of people would scream NTR if you did not have the choice to explicitly stop any and all instances of LI x LI unless MC is part of the action.

I personally think that the collars might be mandatory if for no other reason than the whole set up of program is to test the collars not for the students or even the school and as a pure boi I will have faith that the writing around it justify it for me personally. Most of that faith comes from the fact that there has been a lot invested into the romance paths and the rest comes from the hope that suddenly years into development the game wont go "and now you must hardcore maledom everybody all the time"

It will be interesting to see how that plays out. It seems to me that the MC is basically under orders to use them. And then he drew up his own rules that require collaring for any infraction. But who knows...maybe he will rebel against the evil GATDAM system and hack the collars to neutralize their effects. Which would, of course, piss off all the slave players. I'm not sure Atemsiel will come up with a solution that doesn't alienate a portion of the player base.
