If I remember right there was one early comic where a colonist got killed but afaik it got removed and zerogravitas once said he will not go this route further at least at the moment. Your saying about realistic when sometimes gore etc. , you said yourself they are not spiders as we know them, but alien creatures, so as said they could also be plant eaters /shrug. As the aliens dissolve clothes with their fluids but not the meat they seem not so intended in eating flesh though ;-).
I´m ok when Dev would make a guro comic when it is tagged before as guro so I can skip it, as the dev is not so fast in progressing it would be a time waste for me, but I understand some ppl might like to see some guro content stuff.
