Is this mod forward-compatible in the general sense? Or is it strictly version-specific?

hmmm...that's a good question most mods tend to be version specific mainly because the Game dev tends to go back and mess with some stuff in the early game vs just adding stuff to continue the story...
It kind of depends on the modder's approach.
Did they go about it manually, changing words individually?
Or did they take a formulaic approach, analyzing stat & variable value changes quantitatively and replacing character name fields (rather than character name text appearances)?
Most modders go the manual route, but there are still enough that make forward-compatible versions that it's worth asking. Hoping "Forward compatible?" makes it to the new front page design for mods.

Seeing as it's a "multi-mod" with both GALLERY and WALKTHROUGH, it cannot be truly forwards compatible. Unless the modder is omnipresent or simply clairvoyant...
Most cheats are usually forward compatible, unless the devs of the actual games retrofits things or changes how they use scripting as they go forward...

Forward compatible in this context would mean you can install it on the new version and, while it obviously won't give walkthrough advice or have gallery scenes for the new content, it will still be usable for the old content without breaking the game or locking off the new content like many ren'py mods will if installed on a version after the one they were made for.

it's been a while but if I remember correctly it lets you play until previous patch then gives the End of patch message
so just play with the mod until then save and delete the Game file re-install it and you can play the new content

Yeah, this is what i kinda alluded to with my last sentence, even if it isn't very clear i just noticed!
If the mod has the games version in the name or if you look at the change log you see 5 other posts for "Updated to version ##" it's pretty safe to say that it's version specific.

Yeah, some mods will work up to the specific version of that mod though. Even in later game versions. There must have been too many changes for this one to properly still work though.
