Word is that the comic is actually over now. I refuse to make a twitter account to check, and blogspot wont let me on it without one either.

Does anyone know if this is true? Did the rpg die for nothing?
Did they just introduce new characters and villains and piss off?

I almost can't believe it considering how obsessed cres is with it. But since they seem to have crippling ADHD, i actually can.
The game project died because the programmer pretty much turned out to be scammer getting the thing running, then stalling as much as possible to live off the paycheck.

Either because trust issues or not being able to find a reputable programmer the project have became abandonware combined with the implosion of another game project.
Experienced game developers and directors are MASSIVELY valuable for a reason. Even the AAA industry has projects that implode or have an unserviceable product on release, not imaginee the indie field full of amateurs

Not exactly true.

They had multiple games in development. This one was being developed by them, and a lot of it's code was used with permission / licensed / bought from another developer (Moral Sword of Asagi is the game title, IIRC). They even said the third character wouldn't have as many bondage / outfit levels since that's a feature the game they got code from has, and multiple outfits weren't coded for the third character. They basically decided to just stop the development of this one to focus on the comic for no reason beyond that (that they announced at least, again IIRC).

They had a different game that they were developing using their own money, and not directly patreon funded. That one had an outside programmer who basically took money and did no work (according to the announcement they gave). That's the one they then decided to not try to get another coder for, since they'd already lost too much money on the first coder / scammer.

It gets worse when you think about the fact that there was another game, Loki I think it was called. A few concepts, a few words of it being close to done and then nothing. I think that was almost a year ago.

That is the last info we got from about three months ago, regarding that game from the Deathblight Official Discord. So yeah, i won't get my hopes up. What little we got to see of the game looked promising, but that doesn't mean shit if all the games will just be abandoned (was subscribed on Subscribestar for a while, but that was long ago)

"Dealing with a lot of IRL issues" and "I'm out of money" ye no shit dumbess you pissed off your core audience multiple times over the years. And now you stopped the one thing that made you kill a game you were charging $75 for uncompressed variants of the in game art. I am surprised they are that incompetent and still wonder why the fans left. BTW the fuck does Wolfenstahl even do? Cres is the artist and he was the guy making the games, and we all know how that went.

Anyway with the rant out of the way, thank you Gnobad for sharing the image.

Edit: Found out what he does. He is the guy who writes the story apparently.

Their patrons at the time only cared about the comic apparently. They'd even run a poll about it.

I remembered posting about this and checked what I wrote at the time. IIRC there wasn't a poll, but patreon was cracking down on adult content (rape in this case). So they were at risk of having their patreon suspended / removed if whoever was deciding looked into the game. Though IIRC the comic has (or at least had) quite a bit of rape too. They also had their subscribstar started at that point, which doesn't have the adult content restrictions.

And then they said they had alternatives to patreon, but scrapped the game anyway.

RPG was one of their best creations, and yet they had to cancel it, it's such a shitshow it's not even funny.
it's like they just gave up without trying much more, and cancelled everything.

The Author, Wolfenstahl made a post on his blog, and i scouted out that there was some completed graphics that was *supposedly* to be for Guilty Raid, take this as a last Lusty memory. View attachment 1061121

Indeed, They could also finish that Loki game they started and then shortly dropped before even a trial was released. Could use something like Ci-En for supporters for those types of games that patreon no longer allows.

Ngl it sounds more like theyre just trying to wash their hands of deathblight, or perhaps porn entirely.
They really are trying to go sfw despite their godawful story feeling.

Generally it starts from little to no rules when the site is small, then the rules get stricter as the site grows in popularity. So patreon used to have very few rules on content, then they put rules in place but didn't really enforce them, and now they have much stricter enforcement.

Currently the main patreon like sites that are looser on content rules are subscribestar (mostly english) and ci-en (mostly japanese). Itch.io is also used, though they're not a monthly support type site and are just games and not other content.

It's because once they get big enough, one (or more) of the online payment options they make use of start paying attention and get more hands on under threat of pulling their services.

I'm STUCK! Was told to find a job but I will NOT give up my NEET life!
Jokes aside, I did both jobs several times now and even slept in between (working member of society now, sleep work repeat)

No progress. What do I need to do? Do I wait until retirement now?
